Very clean room and it looks like the hotel is newer. Close to the Athens downtown area with restaurants and shopping. Nice rooftop area to grab a drink or food. We enjoyed our stay and we would stay here again.

I am not sure why I didn’t book the Hyatt Place in the first place... it just wasn’t on my radar and when we checked into our first hotel in Athens, we walked straight out as it was so dismal. I called the Hyatt which was close by and they had a room for us and welcomed us right over. Such a comforting change from the unfriendly welcome at the previous hotel. The hotel is modern, new, bright and clean. We received a welcome bag with the best chocolate chip cookies, waters and snacks (maybe because we are Hyatt members). The room was a breath of fresh air (literally the room at the other place smelled of mold). Everything was sanitized and COVID protocols in place throughout the entire hotel. The staff was super helpful and friendly. There is coffee and breakfast items available in the morning. One can easily walk to the campus and restaurants. Thank you, Hyatt Place, for turning our trip around. We loved Athens and the campus in part because of you!…
