If you want 24 hour entertainment with cable, internet and wifi, this is not the place for you. If you want to be with nature, close to trails in and out of RMNP, easy access to horse back riding, then saddle up and go. We stayed in the lodge itself, which has a gift shop, small restaurant and grocery store. The room was small and not particularly up to date, but overlooked a large meadow...it was quiet, peaceful, and comfortable. Bathroom was small, but usable. About 20 minutes from either Estes Park or Lyons. Would stay again.

Rustic and relaxing, a very good choice to get away from it all. High altitude at 9000 feet plus but a beautiful area. Recommended. The cabins are well outfitted and have all you need, bring your own provisions, get your boots on and enjoy the beauty of the national park around you!

Very peaceful place. We stayed in Room 5 and were the only guests at the Lodge. Room 5 had a shared bathroom. The bathroom was nice, though we had a shared wall with the bathroom and you can hear everything. Room 1 looked like the best room. The lodge downstairs is a beautiful place to sit.

We love staying in Allenspark when we come to Colorado, and the rustic Lodge has always been a favorite. We were thrilled to see they are open for 2021, and the new ownership/staff were helpful with accommodations. Highly recommend this location.

Has everything a traveler wants in a stylishly rustic atmosphere. I couldn't believe it's right off the road. Riding horses in the Rocky Mountain National Park was an experience I'll never forget! It's as charming as it gets and I can't wait to go back and stay longer! Why it's marked a 2 star hotel is beyond me, it's more like a 4 star hotel.

Great cabin in the Aspens, close to Estes Park. Ambiance was awesome. Cabin was very cool, beds were great. Staff at the Lodge was very friendly. Chris was great! Only draw back was I didn’t know you would not have internet or cell service. We had a great time, highly recommend, beautiful Lodge and Cabins.

At first I was pleased with Meeker Park Lodge. Our room was comfortable and the breakfasts were good. However, after we departed, I realized I had left some of my clothes in the closet in our room. We called the lodge and spoke with "Cowgirl" and explained the situation and requested that the clothes be mailed to our home address and we would pay for the postage. We asked that Laura, the owner, be informed. Later Laura called and said that both she and an employee had checked the closet and the clothes were not there. I replied that some one must have taken them. End of conversation. The clothes included 2 RL cotton knit tops with 3/4 length sleeves, ruffle around the neck and half way down the front, one yellow and one pink, an aqua cotton knit V-neck, A-line top, a white lightweight sweater with no buttons, and black crop pants. Someone must be wearing them! This situation kind of ruined my opinion of the lodge.

Meeker Park Lodge is a lovely place to stay. The actual lodge is a warm and inviting place to sit and visit, play a game or watch the Olympics with other fans!
We have stayed in one of the cabins several times. Finch cabin was off the rode and perfect for our family. The cabins are clean and well maintained considering how old they are.
Laura, who runs the place is delightful, always welcoming, low key and kind.
While we were there most of the other cabins were empty and I can't help but wonder if they lowered their prices a bit they could do better in the long run. We paid almost $200 per night for 4 of us which isn't bad but the price goes up if you add more people and the cabin could easily sleep 8-10.
Would recommend Meeker Park Lodge to anyone wanting to get away from the over crowded Estes area.

Family run place open only in summer. Good and kind owners. This is for the lodge only, not the cabins:
First the cons, since these could be deal breakers.
1. NO CELL SERVICE. Nearest service was said to be 6-8 miles away.
2. NO INTERNET. This takes a huge adjustment for many.
3. NO FRONT DESK ATTENDANT from 6 pm until 8 am.
4. NO ROOM PHONE AND NO TV
Pros, everything else:
I found out after the first night that those of us in the lodge were welcome to use the business phone on the wall at the front desk for emergencies. That was my main concern about being isolated there because I was alone and have lung issues.
The room was really nice. I was in a rear corner and had plenty of windows for the much needed cross breezes when temps were high. At night it got cool and comfy and was very peaceful and quiet. I would have shared a shower and half bath with 4 other rooms, but they did not book anyone else in my section, so I had it to myself.
There is a tiny convenience store in the lodge that is open until 5:pm. Best for the cabins because much of the real food needed to be cooked, such as burger meat. Some fruit, milk, chips, etc. and firewood.
Breakfast had to be reserved the day before. Each day a set menu. It costs extra but well worth it since the meal was outstanding the morning I had it ("egg day"). And only served at 8 am.
I was shocked to see how much my lung condition caused me big problems at this altitude. I was equipped with a portable oxygen concentrator and had to use it at its max setting in order to breathe. Laura at front desk uses a similar machine and was very accommodating and kind as I needed to charge my machine the moment I arrived.
The public spaces in the lodge were large and welcoming. I could see this place for a fun family reunion. Also there was a downstairs and upstairs porch. Upstairs porch was great and private. The hummingbirds would fly under the upstairs porch roof and were awesome.
I don't know that I would go to this altitude again because of my health issues, but if I did I would definitely stay here. Also would recommend this for a writer or anybody else wishing for a quiet place in the Rocky Mountain National Park to work or relax undisturbed.

We rented a cabin it was very remote and quaint. There is no cell service or Wi-Fi available, you truly have to get out and enjoy nature. It forces you to appreciate the reason that you are in the national parks to begin with! I was very grateful that my teenage son ended the three day stay with, "that was awesome."
Mother nature will wake you up quite early with all of the critter noise that is around your cabin, but that was fine because it forces you to get up and enjoy the day!!
