The motel is a very small motel. It is clean but the rooms are very small and don't have much in them. There is a small fridge (which made so much noise, we left if off) and a chair besides the bed. The location is great to Downtown Disney but the only restaurant in the area that is open right now is Dennys. There is no maid service and if you want to use the pool, you have to reserve time. We were in the back and still could hear traffic on Katella. Also, you can hear anyone talking loudly outside. There are quite a few homeless people in the area and they are asking for money.

We appreciate you honest feedback! Due to the current situation, we have minimized otherwise standard services as part of our Covid-19 Prevention Plan (i.e. housekeeping, pool use). We are truly sorry and sad about this, but want to put in our best effort to keep our guests and employees safe through this time. We would love if you give us another shot in the future, as restrictions lift, and since we do offer a variety of room types. Kind regards, Front Desk Management

We stayed 10 nights in a standard hotel room with our two children. The location is great for a Disney adventure with the walk only 15 mins to the gate of dinseyland.
The rooms are spacious and bathroom is adequate. It's a budget motel but very very clean, well located and had plenty of space to stretch out. We enjoyed the pool but found the laundry facilities being in the pool yard a little strange but then oddly convient. It's located around a few cafes and diner, the Italian restaurant down the street is also delightful! We found that the reception staff weren't as hospitable as we are accustomed to in Australia but feel we may have been a bit much with a total traveling party of 15. Thanks for having us Alamo we had a fabulous time.

The front desk was very accommodating, we arrived a hour early and the room was ready and they did not charge us for early check in fee. It was good for short trip for us. The area around was well light and kept up very. Handicap Parking was great right in front of our room.

This motel is a best kept secret, so I hesitate writing this review. We’ve stayed at many hotels around Disney throughout the years, so we have a lot of experience when it comes to the good, bad, and the ugly.
If you’re looking for a hotel with tons of amenities and free breakfast you’ll need to look elsewhere.
If you’re looking for an extremely clean, very affordable, safe, friendly, cute, close to Disney Motel, with free parking…you can end your search here.
I love that this Motel is at the backside by downtown Disney, which was a new experience for us. It is a bit of a walk, but much shorter than the other Hotels by the main entrance and extremely easy to hop on the monorail, skip the front entrance lines and up in Tomorrowland. You skip the lines AND skip all the traffic staying at hotels to the main entrance at Disneyland. So convenient.
The free parking is also a major plus, the spots are small, but if you can grab a larger one, I would recommend keeping it there as long as you can (we did for the remainder of the trip (except for a short stint to grab breakfast one morning and came back to the same spot).
The courtyard and rooms are also really cute. I love all the greenery and plants around this motel.
The only thing I’d mention as a possible downside are the beds. They are not super comfortable (we slept fine after 14 hours at Disney), but if you are staying for other reasons, I could see this being a potential issue for some. The pillows are a bit flat and the blanket and sheets are paper thin. We didn’t have an issue with this, because they had heat, air, and a constant fan that can run all night depending on your needs. My daughter brought her own comfy blanket to use for her bed.

We really loved this place and would stay again and again. The price is amazing here
and we booked directly. I also enjoyed being able to grab a soda or snack from the vending machine for 1.50. You can’t get that anywhere!

I booked this hotel through Hotwire and it was a great 2 night stay. We arrived in the evening and check in was pleasant and efficient. Our room was not fancy, but clean and nicely renovated. It's maybe an older hotel but we just needed a place to stay for a day at Disneyland. My daughter enjoyed the hottub and although it was too cold to use the pool, it looked nice. We felt safe and comfortable. There is no breakfast included (or restaurant on site) but the room key had a discount for the Denny's next door across the street. There was a mini fridge in the room we could put our own drinks and light breakfast items in that we had picked up. The shuttle bus to Disneyland stops out front of the Denny's and I believe it was $4/person - exact change required. The hotel included free parking and wi-fi. We would definitely stay here again!

Usually I stay along the front on Harbour Blvd and enter Disney from the transport centre but I found all the hotels there overpriced this time so thought I would try out Alamo Inn on Katella Ave which was significantly cheaper.

Check in was quick and easy and the room was a good size. There was a mini fridge and microwave, two beds and bedside table, dining sized table and side table and an arm chair. There was also a lovely outdoor area with a table and chairs where we ate meals.

There were really interesting louvre type doors and windows along the front which could be completely opened for heaps of light.

The room was only cleaned every few days since covid but was done very nicely then.

I would have liked more hooks in the bathroom. There was only one very small towel rack high up. You simply can’t get 4 towels dry on one tiny rack.

The air conditioning was effective but loud and kept turning on and off in the night. I ended up leaving it off as it was winter so a nice temperature anyway.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful at all times.

Parking is free which is amazing for the area! It’s in the centre of the rooms and if you are on the ground floor like we were it’s just steps from the car to the room. Great with lots of luggage. They also very kindly allowed us to leave our car there the last day even after we checked out so we could enjoy the parks until we had to leave for the airport.

It’s only about a ten minute walk to Downtown Disney and then you just walk through to the parks. In many ways this is a more pleasant way to enter the parks rather than through the transportation area even though the walk is a little longer than from some of the hotels on Harbour Blvd.

There is a great diner next door to the hotel called Cocos where we ate several times. It was so much cheaper than eating in the parks and had a good range of food for a family. Dennys is also very close. We were also able to walk easily up to Cheesecake Factory and all the other restaurants at Gardenwalk. There is a Food for less and a Walmart right there on Katella Ave and less than a mile away for grabbing groceries.

It’s not a new hotel but it’s well maintained and made a great base for 10 days. We were very pleased.

We stayed at the Alamo just as Covid-19 was taking hold. Sadly, we had to cut our stay short, but in the three days we were there, it was excellent! Sure, it’s not the Candy Cane (which we love) but it was almost half the price at the time of booking. We paid $US109 per night (tax etc included) – and it has a fridge AND a microwave, whereas the CC only has a fridge.

Provided you’re happy to walk (and we are - and we had no car) it’s well located too. It’s a 20 minute walk to Disneyland (via Downtown Disney); 15 minutes to the west is ‘Food For Less’, a huge and very cheap supermarket, and there are fast food shops, restaurants, CVS, Walgreens etc 15 minutes east at Harbor/Katella. And there’s a Denny’s (15% discount for Alamo guests) and a mini-mart next door.

We are Disneylandaholics and, as long as the Alamo continues to provide their high standard of accommodation, cleanliness and service at very good prices, we’ll be back there again and again.

This is the best hotel for me and my budget . It’s close to Disneyland, about a 15 min walk that takes you in front if Paradise Pier Hotel if you want to eat or shop in there & the same for the California Grand hotel across the street. And /or goes straight through Downtown Disney toward the parks. I appreciated the hotel allowing us to check in early since we had arrived by uber. I also liked that we communicated through text when i needed extra towels and picked them up on our way back from the park. In this room the tv was placed above the microwave which sat on top of the fridge that was right by the hangers. We laughed at that but like i said we weren’t there for the amenities. I’m positive if i had a problem they would have fixed it right away. This will continue to be our go-to hotel.

This was exactly what we needed/wanted for our short Disney vacation. The location was great being just a 10 min walk to downtown Disney and a bit more to the end where the park entrances are located. The room was pleasant and clean, the staff was very friendly. Room cleaning is only every three days but we were given fresh towels as requested. There is a pool, but we didn't use it. There are vending machines for drinks/snacks. This was perfect to grab a water to take into the park at $1.25 vs the $5 in the park. Plenty of parking, we parked and left it there while we walked to the parks. about 1 block down the street there was a Denny's where we had breakfast daily before starting the park adventure.

Booked because we were planning a trip to Disneyland and it was the cheapest property that was within walking distance to the park. Took only about 10 minutes to walk. However we were amazed by how well kept the property was! The rooms were for the most part updated and there’s free parking. It was easy to communicate with the front desk and management was super helpful. Room cleaning is free and you can request a specific days you would like service. I was a bit hesitant after reading some of the reviews of “hard uncomfortable beds” but I did find this to be untrue for the room we stayed in. My only suggestion would to change the blankets as they were quite thin and it got cold during the night for the month we stayed in. But each room was equipped with an AC unit which could turn on a heater.
Overall I definitely enjoyed my time at The Alamo, super convenient and clean. I would even consider staying here than at a chain hotel for the convenience.

Yes u can walk through downtown disney. The distance from Alamo Inn to entrance is about .8 of a mile. I would recommend getting on monorail on left to beat the crowd at main entrance on left side as your beginning walk starts on downtown disney Its a nice little trick.
