The layout of the suite is excellent, nearest the door is the bathroom and king bed for the parents, further in the room, behind a partial wall is the bunk-bed and couch for kids. This works great when you want to put them to bed but aren't ready to turn the lights out yourself. There are two sliding doors that close to completely isolate the kids "room" from your "room". This all works wonderfully, except that the sliding doors are not opaque, they are glass! There is a curtain hung on them, but it is so thin that you can see completely through it from the inner room. It doesn't block light at all, thus defeating the whole point. We worked around this by pulling blankets off the beds and using them to help block the light out. Next time we'll be ready with binder clips to help hang the blankets up, but this could all be fixed if they simply had solid wood doors. The doors don't need to be fancy, they need to actually partition the rooms for privacy and light blocking. Or, if the curtains were actually made of a light blocking material (not just a "privacy" material, a "black out" material) then it would work perfectly. As it is, we will probably stay here again, we will just come prepared to retro-fit our own light blocking solution on the partition doors, but would love to not have to mess with it.

As for distance to Disneyland, it isn't "across the street" close, but it's pretty close and conveniently close to CVS. Realistically, if you are walking around the park all day, this isn't going to add much more walking comparatively (assuming you aren't going back and forth multiple times per day).

The location from the Disneyland Resort entrance was slightly further than what we had anticipated. Not awful (15 minutes at a brisk pace) but far after a full day of hiking around the parks. The other thing that was a bit of a disappointment was the lack and quality of electrical outlets throughout the room. At the time of this writing, the hotel was in the process of updating their power outlets and had currently completed the 5th floor and working their way down. This was the story according to the hotel staff. The other item I should mention ren't quite as grand as what they appear online. I should have taken some pics and posted them. The hotel is fairly mediocre. Not horrible but don't set the bar too high.
is, don't be fooled by the online hotel promotional photos. The lobby, rooms and hotel itself a
The hotel staff working the front desk were pleasant and helpful. Not super engaging but nice. I will have to admit, we checked out a day early and the girl working that morning was very accommodating. Even though we booked through a 3rd party, she was able to refund the night for us no questions asked. Mostly because we paid at the end of our stay instead of up front. No food service at the hotel as far as I know but other food and dining options were close and abundant. Plenty of coffee shops and restaurants near by. IHOP directly across the street and I believe kids under 10 eat for free.

One last note I will add and this is not pertaining to the hotel but to Disneyland Resort. DO NOT I repeat DO NOT think that by going on Superbowl Sunday that it will be less crowded!! It's just as busy as ever. There were about 70,000 people that could care less about the Superbowl

Hotel was nice, could use some updating but location was great. We try to stay within walking distance , its about a 10 min walk but one day we bought $6 all day ART pass and came in handy when walking all day at both parks. Buses are constantly running so never waited long for one.

Started off by arriving and having the incorrect rooms booked, and then stating that a water main had broken a week prior rendering all the family suites unusable. I was never contacted prior to my arrival so I could reschedule rooms at a different hotel. 2 days later I requested a different room, and magically they had a family suite available? The rooms feel dirty. They are clean in a sense of being vacuumed and wiped down, but furniture needs to be replaced, and carpet should be torn out.

They staff was friendly, but the accommodations compared to other hotels was well below normal. Portofino is holding on to their location as their biggest value, however, with comparable prices at the adjacent Marriott hotels, they are going to need a major upgrade, or cut their prices in half.

I was really unhappy with this hotel. Stains on walls! Bathroom floor dirty! Curtains had stains and drips! Mirror was filthy with dust! Stains on sheets! Toilet clogged asked for plunger sent someone who refused to enter the room wanted me to move my whole family out told him to just leave the plunger he set it by door and walked away. I feel like if they are going to be open and charge the prices they do they need to provide better service and make sure there rooms are more cleaner and not so dirty! Room 2405 is where we stayed. I will never stay here again

The hotel is in a good location. Unfortunately, we found our room extremely dirty. There was food on the floor, dust bunnies in the corners larger than my fingers, dirt all over and just grungy. I asked if they could re clean and sanitize it as we have twin toddlers who touch everything. I don’t think they did clean it as I had to ask again, and I cleaned up the food myself so my babies didn’t eat the almonds laying in the floor. They came to re clean it again and it was still dirty after. Super disappointing. The beds were extremely uncomfortable- the mattress was lumpy and felt very old. One of the reasons we booked the room we did (bunk bed suite) was because it had doors to divide the room that our 4 kids were in and the adult space. The doors have shear curtains on them so any light or movement goes through and our babies had a hard time sleeping through that. Blackout curtains would be nice on those doors.

We appreciate the feedback, Mykytec. We're deeply disappointed you had such challenges during your time with us. We regret that your room wasn't refreshed properly. We hold ourselves to a much higher standard so we will be meeting with our housekeeping team to discuss proper room cleaning and refreshing procedures. We will be meeting with our management team to discuss the issues you ran into with your beds and to discuss the possibility of adding blackout curtains on the bunk bed suite doors. We do hope you give us another opportunity to share a more positive experience with you soon.

Only the location and free parking are a plus to stay in this Hotel. They are not doing bedding or room service due to covid ????). The only hotel using that excuse in May 2022. We stayed 4 nights and we had to ask for fresh towels and to empty the trash bins. During the checking, no one mentioned anything. We discovered it once we came back tired from the Disney Park, looking to relax after a long day. There was a rude and ironic lady (short curly hair) in the front desk that is definitely not a good image for the hotel. I overheard some guests asking for some hot water for to hit up mac&cheese and this lady told them that they should pay an extra charge to use the microwave (wtf???). Finally, these guests realized that there was a dispenser with hot water and they could get what they needed. Not thanks to this lady!

We stayed here for two nights last week in a kids suite with the extra bunkbed room.
We got a good price of £280 on hotels.com compared to the rest of the hotels along the Disney strip, but that's due to the hotel being very old and in desperate need of a refurb.
The check in staff were polite but the first thing we noticed was the swimming pool, which is so small you couldn't actually swim.
Our room was mostly clean but the bathroom floor had dirt marks and the counter tops were old, cracked and stained.
The beds were not comfy, way too hard and you could hear everything your neighbours were doing.
You get coffee and soaps but again these looked very old and not safe to use. The soap in the packet had gone yellow and cracked!
We also had an issue with the toilet blocking and my partner told the cleaner as we left for disney, only to come back late in the evening to find he'd left a plunger for us to sort out ourselves!
He'd also taken the bedding from the lower bunk without replacing it so we had to pull bedding off the top one for my daughter.
It's about a 10 min good paced walk up to disney so the location isn't too bad, and parking was free.
IHOP is over the road with a CVS and other food outlets next door.
If you can get it really cheap then I'd stay and save the money, just don't have any good expectations.
If this hotel is refurbished soon, which I think its due to be then they need to think about sound proofing and a larger pool.

I know the idea is to just have a place to sleep since you are out enjoying Disney or other tourist areas during the day.

But even with that in mind, I wouldn’t stay here!

1) Front desk staff is rude/cold. I asked a question and the person helping me said there’s nothing they can do about (an extra parking spot for one night only for my brother) whereas the family next to me had the same question and the person helping them said, ooh let me help think of a solution for you guys. The person checking me in didn’t even tell us where to find our room: we wandered around for 15 minutes with our luggage.
2) the beds are horrible condition, especially the pull out sofa bed. I believe ours was even broken or the mattress extremely old as the bars were poking through. I asked the front desk staff if someone could look at it…and all they did was make the bed…no ideas offered like a roll away bed or something.
3) pool and jacuzzi are tiny and almost unsanitary for even a few people packed in such a small small space
4) bathrooms are old and gross.
5) I even overheard a family on the elevator saying the place was a total disappointment and gross.

Location is alright, but everything else is not worth the money at all.

I travel extensively for work, worked in the hotel industry so I’ve seen bad places to stay…this has got to be the worst.

End of summer, family vacation before the kids go back to school. Parking was not bad, under the hotel. The room was clean and enough room for all of us. We had the family suite, a queen size bed, a bunk bed and a pull out sofa sleeper. For the size of the suite, there was only 4 towels and some mixed and match shampoo and conditioner and we had to ask for more towels and shampoo. All the staffs were very helpful and willing to assist. Our first day there we couldn’t use the pool due to an accident in the pool where it had to be drained. Front desk did call and tell us about 3 hours later that the pool was still close but we were able to use the pool at the hotel next door. Room service had some decent food and it took about 45 minutes for 6 orders. We loved the walking distance to Disneyland/CA adventure. It was about a 10 minute walk, we didn’t have to deal with the hassle of parking. There was a little store right under the hotel. At the same time CVS was right next to the hotel and Walgreens was across the street. For the price, suite size and distance to the gate, we definitely would stay there again.
