We stayed in the larger of the two chalets and everything you could need was included in there for a quiet getaway.
It was far away enough from the centre to be completely quiet at night but close enough to walk to the restaurants, beaches, cafes, and shops during the day.
Would definitely stay there again if I ever find myself back on Waiheke.
Waiheke Island apparently has an issue with ants and mosquitos, although we we shocked to find them on our toothbrushes in the morning. The curtains we're mouldy, as was the shower, and I'm not sure that the place had ever seen a duster!
As we were on holiday, I declined to let my girlfriend tackle the shower with mould and mildew remover herself. When quizzed about the cleanliness of the accommodation, our host wasn't prepared to review it with us, so we packed up and left a day early.

Its called The Courtyard, it is central to Oneroa shopping area/cafe's and restaurants and closest to little oneroa beach 2 min walk. But also walking distance to big oneroa beach say 5min walk. Bustop right outside the cottage and only a bus ride to the beautiful Onetangi beach and other attractions/beaches on the island.
I'd say its more suited to a couple or a person needing a place to go and unwind and lax out in the beautiful hot summer. This is the cutest little place and the host Jillian is absolutely lovely, so accomodating and friendly. We enjoyed our time with her.
My husband and I spent 5 days in Waiheke and absolutely enjoyed our stay. We preferred to go without a kitchenette, as we were keen to taste the local cuisine.
We absolutely recommend VinoVino for a treat for dinner, Lazy lounge for a filling snack during the day and well there is your local 4 square where you can fill up on cold drinks and snacks for in between meals.
Our apartment was better than we'd expected and I love that it was cute, private and clean, the ensuite is gorgeous and we were even provided with towels and bed linen. ( some places charge for this).
An added little touch was when Jillian ( the host) picked us up from the Ferry at Matiatia - this was not planned and it was just superb of her to do that!! Where can you get service like that these days.
Absolutely recommend this to the romantics or budget conscious traveller, this place is gorgeous, clean and your host is absolutely lovely - so please be nice to her!!
It’s close to Onoroa and a great place to explore the island, and Jilly and Felix are wonderful hosts. We loved the place and wouldn’t stay anywhere else but here next time we visit!
"The larger of the two apartments has better accessibility for those who need, as it has no stairs to get into it like the smaller apartment.(From what we saw)"Read full review
"Get the bus to Onetangi when you get off the ferry - its only $2 and drops you right outside the Courtyard on Moa Ave - too easy!"Read full review
"#2 is quite small (fine for 1-2 nights). Next time we'll probably "spurge" and get #1."Read full review
