An absolute gem of a place to stay on beautiful Waiheke Island. Peter and Caroline were incredibly gracious hosts; they were incredibly communicative, picked us up from the ferry terminal right on time, and gave us a quick tour of part of the island all before we arrived at their house. The house itself is located up on a hill overlooking the Western side of the island with spectacular views, and the rooms are large, modern, and well-appointed. Our hosts were very friendly during our stay, and made sure we had all the food and beverages that we needed (including an excellent, multi-course breakfast). It was truly a memorable experience for me and my fiancee, and I would not hesitate to recommend a stay at Marino Ridge for any other couple, regardless of the season.

My wife and I had the pleasure of experiencing Marino Ridge Lodge early March 2022. From the moment you arrive until you sadly have to depart, the experience is one that we will cherish and remember forever! Peter & Caroline would have to be the most warm and caring hosts on the planet! First class service and cuisine, all within one of Waiheke's hidden gems. Marino Ridge Lodge is superbly positioned with some of the best views on the planet, the rooms and facilities are totally 5 star plus and will leave you with a lasting impression of pure opulence. Our spectacular hosts went above and beyond to deliver one epic, luxurious weekend away. Our suite, the Coromandel, was incredible, sleeping there with the ranch slider to our private balcony wide open at night, looking up to the stars was amazing! The tour around Waiheke with Peter was incredible, we covered so much and took in some of the finest scenery you can view in NZ! So quiet, peaceful, total luxury and we left feeling very much like were leaving two good friends behind! Kind regards Craig & Heather Counsell

My lovely wife whisked me away to celebrate our wedding anniversary and a significant birthday. I didn’t know we were going to Waiheke until the day before we left and I had no idea we’d be staying in such a magnificent place. Peter and Caroline were warm and welcoming from the first to last minute of our stay. We had the front room with the most magnificent view. Tui and other birds serenaded us throughout our stay. Our hosts expertly recommended all sorts of attractions and served the most amazing breakfasts. Tasty, filling and beautifully presented food. We could not recommended Marino Ridge highly enough. It was such a special treat. We will definitely be coming back! Thanks so much.

Staying at Marino ridge was an absolute dream! The views are unreal, the hosts are so genuine and welcoming and the standard of food and comfort they provide is incredible. I don't think there is enough emphasis on the fact that the property sits above a private walkway that leads to a secluded beach with crystal clear still water if you prefer a beach swim, although the pool and spa are fantastic aswell! Highly recommend the honeymoon package, the extras included and the dinner at mudbrick really made our stay special. We will 100% be back for another visit!

What an amazing place! If you have a birthday, an anniversary or just want somewhere special to stay, Marino Ridge is the place. From the moment we arrived by helicopter straight onto the lawn, we were greeted by the owners and everything from that moment on was perfect. The views out over the ocean, Waiheke Island and the surrounding Islands are stunning. We stayed in the Owhanake Suite and the views are every bit as nice as anywhere we have ever been in the world. The only sounds are from the many birds in the lush green trees surrounding the property. The dining areas, the swimming pool and spa pool areas all look straight out at that stunning view. The owners, Caroline and Peter gave us so many great tips about what to do and see on the Island. We have been to Waiheke many times, but on this trip we explored areas of the Island we didn’t even know existed. The breakfast every morning was healthy, delicious and presented like a work of art. Marino Ridge is where you want to take a loved one if you’re missing your trip to Italy or one of the Greek Islands. Thank you, Peter and Caroline for making our 3 day stay so memorable.

For my wife's birthday we escaped with good friends to the haven of tranquillity that is Marino Ridge. Hosts Peter and Caroline have welcome pampering down to a fine art. The attention to detail is unsurpassed from the original choice of the location to build the lodge with its privacy and breathtaking views to its understated luxury and facilities. Everything is done to the highest standard whether it is the wine and canapes in the evening to the exquisite multi course breakfasts, the 3 course evening meal one night drawing on their experience and love of living in Italy to the quality of the massage service. Everything was faultless. Caroline and Peter are wonderful hosts who combine many talents with a passion for ensuring guests enjoy a luxurious experience enhanced by genuinely warm Kiwi hospitality. We will definitely be back.

What a magnificent experience - arrived stressed from all that 2020 has thrown at us and left after a three night stay totally relaxed. Was it the spectacular view? The beautiful amenities and accommodation? Your very own balcony overlooking the bush and harbor? Lounging by the pool watching the boats in Owhanake bay jockying for a good spot? Well, yes all of that sure is great but what sets this luxury accommodation apart is the service. Unobtrusive yet attentive. Pete and Caroline have achieved the perfect balance in making you feel very special and ensuring your every need is looked after. Many thanks guys.

We stayed 2 wonderful nights here and absolutely loved every minute! We arrived via helicopter right onto the lawn overlooking the pool! Our room was spacious and clean - with many little extras! Such as water, chocolates, nibbles and licorice all-sorts! These were all replenished throughout the day! Caroline and Peter are exceptional hosts and welcomed us unreservedly into their home. Canapés and evening drinks were a highlight and we had a wonderful time - we feel like part of the family! Fabio and Libby took us for a wonderful walk around the peninsula which has the most amazing views over the Hauraki Gulf. It’s the little things that make the difference - and Merino Ridge wouldn’t be complete without Peter, Caroline, Fabio and Libby! From superb breakfasts in the morning, or a little rose by the pool, to heartwarming laughter into the wee hours of the night! This place is like no other! And we will be back as friends and guests too! Thank you so much for your hospitality, generosity and for allowing us to share your magical slice of paradise!
