Santa Fe Villa, is simply the best! after a very long haul flight from New York, Santa Fe was the perfect remedy for me and my family, one only has to sit on that lovely spacious deck, look out onto the sea...and just completely unwind.......the owner Bobbie was the perfect hostess and gave us our space,.her attention to detail, was just right...she even took time out of her busy schedule to take us on a Tiki Tour of the island!..Highly recommend.coming back for our 15th Wedding Anniversary. Beautiful view of the bay, the manager was very sweet and helpful. Easy to find and not too far from the Main Street but not too close either. Easy walking distance to bar and restaurants. Parking was easy as well. Couldn't ask for more. Would go again.

This was our second time to Waiheke and also our second time at Santa Fe, which we discovered 4 years ago, when there was on accommodation on the island. Bobbie is very friendly and helpful. We had the same room down the back overlooking the bay with a large deck. Very clean and comfortable. The only downside was, it was quite a bit more expensive than the last time we stayed and could do with a refurb. But is nice and close to town, walking distance. Waiheke is so beautiful and the sculptures walk was on when we where there.

Bobby runs a wonderful accommodation option that is a 5 minute stroll to the village of Oneroa.
Views are brilliant of Oneroa bay and your close to Waiheke's Art Gallery, Restaurant's + vineyards.
This is an island that truly shows a rural Kiwi experience after a 35 minute ferry trip from downtown Auckland.
Santa Fe is superb an option for your special getaway to this Exceptional paradise - come & enjoy all it's charms here.
It's a two or three night spot, anything less and you'll miss too much of what's on offer.

My wife and 10 year old daughter were on Waiheke Island for a friend’s wedding. We rented the two-bedroom suite downstairs at Santé Fe Villa. We arrived late by bus from the ferry. The bus stop is almost outside Santé Fe. The owner, Bobbi e, was there to greet us and settle us into the suite. Bobbie was delightfully helpful and unobtrusive providing information we needed. The suite comprises two comfortable rooms joined by the external deck or an internal corridor. This is an older house by the furnishing is thoughtful and relaxing. Other than the comfortable bed our favourite spot was the lounge chairs in the sun room with a coffee or tea and a book. The view of the beach was fringed by native tress that provided privacy and a sense of emersion in the lush landscape. Away from the traffic but literally two minutes’ walk to the shops, we enjoyed strolling to the beach or local shops. For a relaxing weekend or few days, we will be back.

We stayed in in the hacienda and the panoramic view of the water was amazing. So relaxing that we sat on the huge deck for hours on our first day and just breathed in the air, relaxed and shared some wonderful Waiheke wine. The location is an easy walk to the little town, which has great restaurant options, and really everything you'd need to stay. We weren't there long enough to cook, but I would love to go back and make meals and just stay in the place for meals as well. The kitchen has a window out to the deck, and the place is decorated with so many nice antiques. And a favorite thing is Bobbie's cat - looks like a little black lion - we LOVED him. It's a long way from eastern USA but we will come back and for longer next time.

I stayed in the studio, plenty of space and sea views. Nice terrace too. Great location, 5 minute walk into Oneroa, the main town and enroute is the community art gallery; great standard of artworks, unmissable. 7 minute walk down to the sandy beach or a 15 minute walk to Little Oneroa beach, more secluded and you can walk there via a track over the hill or along the road.

In correspondence prior to arrival and upon arrival the host attempt to demand that our group pay an additional $120 in cash for a “cleaning fee” on top of the agreed price paid through Air BnB which inclusive of a cleaning fee.
Disappointing experience but we did enjoy the island and it’s wineries.

I don't know where the other seven reviewers were staying, but our stay was neither "excellent" nor "very good". In fact, of all the places we stayed in our three weeks in NZ, this was the only one we found distasteful. Where to begin? How about the entry to the apartment we were given... through the bathroom! Ok, we got past that. But the room beyond was not anything approaching clean. The sheets had stains on them that left us wondering whether they had actually been cleaned since the last occupancy. And the bed was about the quality of Motel 6. No, actually worse. It is clear the Bobbie has no serious interest in ensuring the comfort of her guests. She is, however, most interested in collecting payment as soon as you meet her (cash only, if you please), after which she will disappear never to be seen again. All this for the ridiculous price of $260! If you think I'm being unduly harsh, please see my other recent reviews. This place is not what tourists should expect and usually find in New Zealand. It should not be in business.
