Detailed Reviews
We stayed at Waiheke Lodge for a strategy retreat for 3 days. Trevor was very happy to accept our online wine and grocery orders and put away in the cupboards/fridge for us before our arrival.
There were plenty of comfortable beds and bathrooms to accommodate our group of 12 and the place is expansive enough that we weren't on top of each other for the duration of the stay.
We also held our strategy session at the Lodge and this was very comfortable in the easy chairs provided, which was a nice change from stiff chairs around a table.
Waiheke Lodge is a great place to really get away from it all, and was fit for purpose as a quiet space for the team to concentrate on the task at hand. But we were also able to go from the "strategy" space to the "socialising" space in a matter of a few steps! We also cooked our own team meals in the very well decked out kitchen. So an awesome place for everything, without the worry of having to drive anywhere.
We would stay again and I will be passing on the information to other EAs in the business.
Thanks Trevor!

Thank you so much for being our guests at the Waiheke Lodge and you are most welcome to visit again. We often have guests order things to be delivered to the Lodge prior to their stay and will put these away in the cupboards and fridges, so that when they arrive they are ready to so. The conference setup is ideal for groups to sit around on the Ikea chairs, sofas and bean bags to watch a presentation or video on the big screen with the dining area next door and second lounge and kitchen if extra space is needed. I am very glad this worked well for your group - thank you for leaving the Waiheke Lodge so tidy !

Our group, a mix of couples and singles, found this lodge to be the perfect retreat. It was exceptionally well-equipped, with an abundance of towels, cups, plates, pans, and everything else we needed for our stay.
The shared spaces were ideal, with plenty of seating for all of us to gather in the lounge and on the stunning, spacious deck. Watching the sunset over the rolling hills was a highlight of our stay!
Tucked away down a long driveway near the airfield, the lodge offered a wonderful sense of privacy while still being just a quick 10-minute drive to Woolworths in Ostend.
The host was outstanding—welcoming, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring we had a fantastic experience.
I wholeheartedly recommend this lodge for any large group looking for an amazing getaway!

Beautiful place to stay as a large group. Kitchen well stocked, everything you need is there. Individual rooms that suited all our families, and the second kitchen came in handy for one of our families preparing baby food while the main kitchen was being used. Beautiful seating area on the deck, amazing view. So much room. Great place to stay.

The lodge is big enough to comfortably house a large group with generous living space and a well appointed kitchen. The views are wonderful from the deck and we enjoyed playing the baby grand piano. While next to the local airport ( grass strip and not busy) the setting was private and peaceful.

Trevor was incredibly helpful. Our request to stay at the property was very last minute, but Trevor managed to pull out all stops to make it happen for us. It was a very special time for the family to get together and we’re just so great full that Trevor managed to make it work for us all. Some very special memories were made over the weekend and the property was immaculate and all our needs were very well provided for. Would recommend 11/10

Great villa for a large group. Comfy rooms with all the facilities and an amazing view. Would recommend for celebrations and work trips. Good communication and tour by the host. Batch Winery is a 5-10 min walk away. I’d recommend hiring a car as public transport is limited.

Thank you so much for being our guests at the Lodge and for leaving everything so tidy - much appreciated. You are most welcome to be our guests again - look forward to seeing you ! The Fullers Waiheke Island Explorer bus tour stops at the batch winery not far away and we can pick your cases up from there. Many of our groups use a mini bus or two and we recommend local companies who our guests have said looked-after them well. Auckland Transport is limited on Waiheke to just the main road from the ferries to Onetangi beach and Rocky bay.

Myself and a large group of friends recently stayed at Waiheke Lodge for a long weekend, and cannot recommend it highly enough. What an amazing spot. Amazing views, complete privacy, and a fantastic large house with huge decking and communal areas. Everything was spotless and ready for us upon our arrival on the Friday.
Trevor also provided great communication and instructions on the best options for getting food and groceries delivered, and was fantastic host in general.

Just back from a fantastic few days with family and friends to celebrate a 50th birthday and New Years Eve. The house is easily big enough to accommodate 5 families with kids, There are enough living spaces that the kids can have their own area away from the adults. The views across the island back to the city are superb and the sunsets from the deck are incredible. The house is extremely well-appointed and Trevor is one the best hosts we have ever come across - extremely helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Highly recommended!!
