Wife and I just completed our 3 week South Island tour, staying at motels all over the place. Aldan Lodge Motel stands out as one of the best places we stayed at. Clean and comfy beds. Plenty space as well. We stayed in smaller more expensive places than Aldan Lodge. It’s not got brand new showers but they are well maintained and who can keep updating huge rooms every 5 or even 10 years. With the past Covid keeping allot of people away they doing an exceptionally awesome job. Trying to stay open so people like you can have a place to stay. I’ve stayed here 4 times and so looking forward to our next trip.

Small quiet motel, close to town but perfect for what I needed. Very friendly staff and parking outside my room. Not sure why a review needs to be 200 characters as my first sentence said it all. So now I am just filling in space and still writing.

Maybe the units closer to the road are cleaner and in better condition but the unit we were in was very, very average. The couch fabric was absolutely filthy, the kitchen drawers need wiping out, the unit itself felt dirty and the shower water had hardly any pressure and could really do with replacing. Outside, laying around the unit were old car parts and the complex itself needs a really good tidy up. The rumpty old motorhome bus at the front doesn’t help either! Won’t be back. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Great accommodation and very family friendly. The rooms are large and comfortable. Our daughter loved the play ground you have. Greg is amazing and helped us pick a great location for dinner. Thanks guys, we will definitely be back to stay again.

We had a very warm and comfortable night at the Aldan Lodge Motel. Lights and heater were on when we arrived on the wet and cold night. Great room with all the necessary amenities. Spotless too. Thank you.
