Detailed Reviews
I booked this site as part of a New Zealand north and south camper van trip over the festive period 2022/23. Coming from England it was important that we had a guaranteed site with amenities in the middle of some freedom camping. This site is ideally located 2 minutes from the ferry and 10 minutes walk into town. A limited number of pitches but this only made it better in our opinion. A great welcome from the hostess, everything you could wish for (laundry and iron are available)- free showers and kitchen are spotless and wifi no problem. An absolute pleasure to stay here and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We recently booked a night here, ready to cross on the ferry. It is exceptionally clean facilities. In the kitchen there was crockery and cutlery etc for public use. The showers were spotless.
It is a five minute drive to the ferry terminal, so an excellent site for an early morning crossing. Would definitely recommend it. Wi-Fi was good and staff were great.

Modern amenities. Clean and roomy showers with no time limit or cost. 3 minute drive to the ferry and about 1 km walking distance to dog park and town. The only downside is the perfect location next to the ferry also means you get the continual truck noise through the night. Recommend ear plugs or a couple of stiff drinks for a good night's sleep

Stayed here for 2 nights prior to returning back to NI on the ferry. Good sites with power and water right next to the van. We have an 8 meter caravan and we were given an easily accessible site with plenty of room. Facilities were great. Would definitely stay again.

1-night camper van stay, to be in situ for an early morning ferry over to Wellington. Great location only a 5 minute drive to both ferry terminals. Spotless facilities, & not a particularly large site, but parking spaces a big tight. Noisy route 1 highway outside.

Communication non existent. Many attempts to contact. Don’t answer phone calls or respond. When eventually making contact very unhelpful. Everything was refer to the internet. Better friendly alternatives.

This is one up fro a car park with showers. It is close to the ferry so serves it's purpose for the last night on South Island. It's about a 20 minute walk from the marina. There's a good number of bars and restaurants in Picton.

This was a great little place to stay for the first night in picton. Close to the ferry terminal which is handy. Clean shower and toiket facilities. Only downfall was only 1 pillow on the bed instead of 2 and there doesnt seem to be a lot in Picton to do.

Great site. Perfect for the late ferry arrivals before heading off again the next morning.
Lovely hot showers and spacious shared spaces.
Small site but with clearly laid out pitches and each with power if wanted and a picnic bench.
And finally - a campervan site that offers UNLIMITED FREE FAST WiFi!!!! We couldn’t believe it. Meant we finally had a chance to download stuff to watch in the van on nights when we were saving money and not going out!
Friendly receptionist, close to the small town and all round good place.

We were in a campervan and stayed there 1 night, we were catching the ferry back to Wellington early the next morning. Clean facilities, walking distance via marina to Picton's main road with restaurants. Very quiet. Definitely recommend it.

No not in the cabins but anyone staying in cabins has full access to the complementary tea and coffee in the communal lounge which is only 50m from cabins.
Free WiFi is offered complimentary to all guests on arrival (currently 250MB). Additional paid plans are available for guests who require more data.
We stayed here in our motorhome and found the facilities very clean and presentable. The park itself is very small but offers laundry and kitchen facilities. I would recommend you contact them to see if you need to book - we didn't and had no problem but I would presume over summer months, that it is very busy and space would be limited. Hope this helps.
"Cabin closer to the reception (further from the road) is quieter and closer to the bathrooms"Read full review
