Close to town and the wharf. This camp ground has friendly hosts and is kept so tidy, could tell as no dead bugs lying around the bathrooms. The special events for adults and kids were a neat new year surprise.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are pleased you enjoyed our clean facilities. Our team work very hard to ensure our guests enjoy their stay with us, so it is nice when this is noticed. Our New Years BBQ has been running for 30 years now, with the previous owners doing this for 28 of those years. As you know we put all donations towards a charity, and this year our local coastguard received over $500 from our BBQ. That is all thanks to people like you. So Thank You! Regards Peter, Mel and all our team @ Picton TOP 10 Holiday Park.

The service we received was amazing, friendly and helpful. It has a great location and is of walking and driving distance to the ferry terminal, making it easy to catch early morning or late evening ferries. It was a nice and relaxing place to stay with it not being to big and crammed together. The communal areas were nice and clean with extra cooking utensil for you to use, it has a nice big space in the kitchen.

Great location. We were looked after from our first phone call. Travelling with a disabled family member we were given a great site and the family bathroom was the best we had on our 3 week trip. Pricing of extras was very good. Our kids loved the extra fun activities like the pool, outdoor chess and table tennis.

Top 10 has always been a great choice of camp and the Picton Top 10 was no exception. The facilities are always modern and well kept. The small things like free internet and dish washing liquid and equipment being provided makes a big difference when choosing a camp to stay at.

We stayed here, like most, to be cost to the Interislander for the early morning sail. We booked a double unit which was changed from a twin unit just after we booked as we had a toddler and needed a cot. The cot was made available as soon as we arrived. We had to move the table and chairs in the room to make way for the cot but this wasn't an issue at all. The room is compact but has all the basics you need. Tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, toaster ect. Shower was hot and the pressure great. Unit was warm and cosy. Bed super comfy. What more could one ask for as an overnight stay. Any longer than one or two days I think you'd need to book one of the bigger cabins. Note that these units are located near to the main road and the noise could be heard from 5am-ish, that said we were up and out for 6am for our ferry. Wifi provided. We even used the swim pool for a quick dip, toddler is mad for anything water and I was missing my usual swim at the local pool back home.

Side note - the deck can be slippy when wet in particular shoes and there are a 6/7 steps up to the units.

We have stayed here previously (in a motorhome) but famly chose the venue this time and we joined them for one night. We were eventually able to book a cabin which was small but excellent with good heating on a cold night. The family were otherwise accommodated in a family room and a corner of the site which allowed close location of a caravan, motorhome and tents.

Stayed at the Picton Top 10 Holiday Park and was impressed with the cleanliness of the Studio Motel, and friendliness of all staff we had interactions with. Though the Studio Motel was smaller than I expected, it had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable. The location was close to town, with an easy 10 minute walk to the shops, restaurants and waterfront.

You will be able to walk to the Ferry but it would take 30 minutes. Driving about 5 minutes. Because the camp is behind the marina I don't think you have a good view of the ferries.

We toured NZ (both islands) last year in late February-March in a camper and most of the time we would either make reservation the same day (over the Internet through our phone), or we just turned up. We have never ran into any problems. We have almost always got in sometimes in the afternoon before dinner so we had time to cook and chill, but have noticed that by later evening most of the places filled up. It worked really well for us, because if we liked it somewhere, we stayed longer without having to worry that we would have to rebook our places further down the road and the flexibility was great, however we did go a month later than you are planning, which may have been a little further into the off-season. NZ - what a fantastic place!!
