We really enjoyed this place. The tents were super cozy with the fire, and beds were comfortable. The hot showers were amazing. Nights were spent playing cards and drinking wine with friends. We drove down to the bay, saw some seals, and enjoyed the sunset. We would definitely do this again.

What are you waiting for? If you have an extra day or two in Christchurch, you really have to give this a look. We were there for the night in December and the wife and kids (8 and 10) had an absolute blast! The bay is amazing, including the sea lions that the kids enjoyed getting a few meters away...

A great place to spend a weekend with our daughter and her fellow gappies while she spends her gap year working in New Zealand and we visit for 3 weeks. Wonderful ( if remote) location and excellent glamping facilities; very comfortable and well equipped and the outdoor bath had an amazing view. Beautiful walks into the hills or to the...

My husband and i, and our 2 girls (6 and 3) spent the Eve of Mothers day GLAMPING in Lavericks Bay, and we had an absolute blast! We were impressed how much heat the wee log-burner in our tent put out, it warmed the tent up so quickly and we were warm and snuggly all night which was also impressive...

If you want to get away from it all - this is a great place to go. You get to camp out without some of the discomforts that go with it. The bed and linen is luxurious. The kitchen is well stocked with good crockery and cutlery. The bathroom is clean and modern with gas hot water. There is a...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
With the luxury campsite a 20 minute meander down to a beautiful secluded beach, glamping at Lavericks Bay on Banks Peninsula is something pretty special. The campsite is set on a sunny spot on the farm. It has two, thoughtfully decorated luxury tents both with woodburners, and a camp kitchen and bathroom. With a dedicated communal area, the campsite is perfectly set up for two families, or a group of friends holidaying together. An outdoor bath is tucked into a private spot close to the campsite - for the ultimate outdoor bathing-under-the-stars experience. Enjoy long, warm days swimming and playing in the soft sand on the safe beach. When the tide is low, there are rock pools exposed for young kids, (and kids at heart!) To explore. You may even get a glimpse of a rare Hectors dolphin or seal - frequent visitors to Lavericks Bay. Bring your mountain bike and take to the hills on one of the many challenging tracks, or just enjoy a refreshing walk while exploring the farm on foot. In the evening, gather at the campsite, or take a picnic basket down to the beach for a glass of wine and toasted marshmallows around the campfire. If you're dying for a chance to escape, relax and really reconnect with family and friends, make it an adventure too, and go glamping at Lavericks Bay! ... more   less

“Once you book you have the campsite to yourself; 2 luxurious tents and a separate kitchen and bathroom area”

“Access to these tents is through a creek so you'll need a 4 x 4 or park and walk through the creek and up the hill. The beach isn't that easy to get to, you have to go down a road called 'Private road.' Take warm clothes, it can be v cold. Bring gumboots. The fridge is around 100 m up the valley in a shed.”
