5 minute drive to Akaroa is this lovely B&B hosted by Jane. Lots of privacy, beautiful views of Akaroa Harbour, lovely garden and space. Native birds abound. there are several different rooms including a garden cottage and our room that had the most beautiful view of the harbour and sunset. Breakfast is optional but it is worth waking and and have Jane make your fresh breakfast! We will return!

For my mothers 60th Birthday we stayed at L'Abri with Jane. It was absolutely perfect. Everything is so well cared for and presented, immaculate rooms and incredible gardens, my Mum is a gardener and she loved spending the day walking through the gardens finding so many hidden treasures. Jane is lovely and goes out of her way to make you feel welcomed and the breakfast was delicious. From the kitchen window there is a nectar bird feeder where we were able to watch Tui's and Bellbirds feeding. Our rooms were luxurious and beautiful with very comfortable beds and had a fantastic view looking out to the harbour. Akaroa is such a fantastic little town, with its mix of French and New Zealand architecture, although if you are walking through we suggest taking a map as we did get a bit lost exploring the side streets of town. We must also recommend the real fruit ice-creams on the water front. We felt so comfortable and pampered. It was the perfect place to celebrate and spend some family time together. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much from Anne, Sue and Hazel

The property immediately places itself between Glass and Steel and Quaintness not an easy balance to acheive. So the rooms have fantastic open aspect floor to ceiling windows but also feel comfortable and welcoming. Each room has a delightful patio one can sit out on enjoy the view and relax. The Bathroom ensuite works a dream and the room has coffee making facilties and its own sense of space. Jane offers a delightful Generous Breakfast which is for all of the day and is based around a number of home made rituals rather than packaged products. I loved the Akaroa Peninsula and look forward to catching up with Jane and tramping the hinterland as soon as we pass through the current darkness and light returns. Jane is extremely committed to her clients comfort and enjoyment and I would like to personally thank her for dealing with my idiosyncratic approach during a period when everything was changing around us by the minute.
