I was pleasantly surprised to have the excellent standard of service, ambience and cleanliness in a sleepy town of Fatehgarh Sahib. The other hotels that I surfed through while looking for a good accommodation were not very fresh smelling and were in no comparison as far as ambience is concerned.
The food is very delicious and the portion size is on the higher side. Service is quick and the staff is polite.

It's good hotel to stay overnight. They have restaurant and pretty nice decor of rooms and overall hotel for the price range in which they provide the nice ambience. Everything was ok.

We are from America. Our son-in-law's parents arranged our stay at The Rutbah for my daughter's wedding in February. The room and the staff at the Rutbah were very accomodating. I'm sorry to say, we didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant. There was always plenty of food at the wedding events and family get togethers. However, we did have Chai each morning delivered to the room, and it was always most welcome. We could have stayed at more Western Hotels in Chandigarh, but we wanted to be closer to the wedding events in Sirhind. We're glad we made that choice, and many other out-of-town Indian family members also stayed at Rutbab. Many thanks to the staff and the generosity of Anita and Kirmal Puri for making our stay so special!
