The hotel is very conveniently located within the old town, with the pedestrian zone just outside the doorstep. The hotel is in walking distance to all of the main landmarks and tourist attractions/areas.
My friend and I had separate rooms, I have posted pictures of examples of the standard double rooms that you could stay in. My room (308) was very comfortable and spacious, and had a lovely bathroom with a walk in shower. My friends room had a bath with the shower over it.
The beds were comfortable but note that they are 2 single beds pushed together so it is abit uncomfortable in the middle! Both rooms had a mini bar with drinks and snacks available (chargeable) and also a tv with a few English channels
Breakfast was included with our bookings, which is available at their on site restaurant Melna Bite. There is a full continental buffet and also a good selection of hot food, along with hot and cold drinks and Prosecco!
We also ate at their Melna Bite restaurant on the Saturday evening, really lovely food and cocktails but the service was quite slow. I had the potato pancakes to start (huge portion!) and the cod fillet for main, both pictured.
There is a big shopping centre next to the hotel which has a supermarket and lots of coffee shops, bars and restaurants very close by.
I would definitely stay here again when visiting Riga and I have already recommended this hotel to my friends and family, a solid 5/5 stay 😊

Unfresh rooms and room! Poor room service- cleaning is very bad! Very loud at night when there is night pub playing loud music until 2am at night! We stayed 6 nights and every night was a pain to fall asleep because of disrespectful surroundings! Cleaning staff enters rooms without knocking on the door even when cleaning was not required!

Overall the hotel was a great choice for our trip to Riga. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed including iron and hairdryer, there were a few noticeable stains on the carpet but we were not bothered by this. The room was cleaned daily and had a stocked mini bar and coffee and tea! The bathroom was spacious with a bath/shower, there was a slight leak on the bathroom floor but it dried quickly. The bathroom floor was also heated which was lovely for the winter.
The hotel was ideally located in the old town of Riga near to lots of bars and restaurants. The reception staff were very helpful. We visited the spa which was very enjoyable and peaceful! We also ordered room service from the hotel restaurant and the food was delicious and reasonably priced.
It is an ideal hotel for a visit to the city and we would recommend it and stay again!

An honest review from an British point of view. Location is great, noisy on a weekend if you go to bed before midnight. Beds in the room are very low to the ground with pillows that are awful very lumpy. thin duvets which are ideal in the summer. Breakfast is great. You have to book the Spa if you want to use it at an additional fee 18 euro I believe, I tried three times to say it was full? They admit last customer at 7pm but the Spa is open until 9pm. Over all I would compare the hotel to a Travel Lodge in UK certainly not 4 star high standard. Staff need to learn on how to smile it goes a long way for poor service.

Dear staff at Wellton Centrum Hotel & SPA, I am writing to you to file a complaint and ask for a refund. We stayed at room 402 from the 12th to the 14th of August. I am very angry at the way we have been treated at the Wellton Centrum Hotel & SPA in Riga. The behavior of the hotel has been totally unacceptable. The day we arrived (on 12th August) we reminded the receptionist at the reception desk that we had ordered an early breakfast to take away the day we were leaving back to Spain (on 14th August at 5 am). The receptionist checked it out and even asked me if any of the guests had any intolerance or allergy and I reported my partner's allergy to bell peppers. On 13th August when we returned from dinner we reminded the receptionist again , who was the same as the previous day, that we had ordered an early breakfast for 5 am next day. She reassured us not to worry and that there was no problem at all with the order. When we checked out on the 14th at 5 am the receptionist told us that the restaurant had made a mistake and that they had prepared breakfast for the 13th and not for the 14th. The receptionist did not offer us any solution or alternative. In any case, if they had prepared breakfast on 13th why did they not store it in the fridge and give it to us on 14th? What happened is totally unacceptable because we had insisted and reminded that we had an early breakfast because we were going to the airport at 5 am on the 14th. For all that I have exposed we demand a financial compensation to the hotel. An apology is no good to us, I want a compensation for the hotel's performance and poor service. It is very easy to apologize and believe that things will have no consequences. For us it was a disruption in our trip and at least we demand a compensation for a service not delivered. The room had been booked under the name of Manuel Dueso by the Seagull Group travel agency and the travel agency had beforehand specified in the booking that we were to be delivered an early breakfast because we were leaving at 5 am, so the hotel had already been informed about it.

The location of this hotel is excellent! It’s in the old town and perfect for walking around the area.
With regards to the hotel stars, I would say that it’s rather a 3 star hotel than a 4.
The double bed is made up with 2 single beds, and you can feel the gap.
Room Cleanliness: 5 out of 10, hair was found on the bed sheets.
The shower did not have separate shampoo, which was disappointing.
You can hear all the noise coming from the other floors and outside the door.
The pool had a separate charge, which was 18 Euros per person, if you wanted to use it.
The breakfast was simple, not 4* The breakfast staff was professional.
I would reccomend a stay here if you are on a budged and if you want centrally located.

The main advantage of the hotel is its location - it is a short walk to all the sights (also to the airport bus). The room was quiet and clean but very small, although we had a standard size. It felt dark as the window led into a narrow courtyard and the curtains were grey. The beds/mattresses were hard. Bathroom was very small, no storage but clean, hairdryer, shower gel/shampoo available. There was a varied selection for breakfast and tasty coffee.

Unfortunately, the Wellton SPA Centrum Hotel & SPA are still closed for guests, but You can visit our hotels that are open Wellton Riverside SPA Hotel or Wellton Riga Hotel & SPA. The SPA zone is open from 10:00-20:00 for children, entrance is till 19:00
