Neiburgs Hotel is applauded for its inviting atmosphere, with guests often commending the spacious and modern rooms, though some have noted noise from the nightlife. Its prime location in the heart of the old town, coupled with its proximity to attractions and dining venues, is a highlight for many visitors.
The hotel's cleanliness receives consistent praise, as does the attentive and professional service provided by the staff. The well-appointed rooms, which include kitchenettes and stylish furnishings, represent excellent value for money, and the hearty breakfast is a popular amenity among guests.

The hotel is located on the edge of the Old Town and after a little exploration turned out to be never very far away from old town tourist sights, restaurants and bars. It was about a 20 minute walk to the Art Nouveau district and Zeppelin hangers market.
Our room was a little disappointing. It was large with high ceilings but was gloomy, facing brick walls and with no view. Despite three large windows and bright sunny skies, lights were on all the time. Of course its a legacy of being in an old building in an old city but still maybe one of the least desirable rooms in the hotel (but at least a quiet location!). It was also quite austere, minimalist design, so not cosy or plush. All the fittings and detailing were again top quality but surprisingly, the location of electrical outlets were inconveniently located for charging phones, cameras etc. The beds were uncomfortable (hard) so did not sleep very well and the large sofa and armchair were not much better. Complimentary bottled water was a nice touch.
The kitchen range is a bit of a gimmick even if it was beautifully designed and built. We had a two burner hob, sink, fridge and microwave but really, are you going to cook food in your room? There were no cooking utensils, only a very discrete note in a cupboard saying they would be available on asking. There were a few plates and bowls but no cutlery. What was a bit disappointing was the in-room coffee. Being so design centric I'd have thought a coffee pod machine would have been provided, not basic Nescafe sachets. It was strange and irritating there were no teaspoons either. There was a quality digital clock/radio/docking station which was nice to have but housekeeping should have made sure it was set to the right time. Fortunately it was easy to alter. Would have been nice to have an iron too.
The bathroom was excellent, large and well equipped with again high quality fittings. Towels (large waffle style) and toiletries were also very good and we had slippers and towelling robes.
Breakfast was top quality and there were 'full size' croissants and delicious smoothies amongst a varied selection, food was replenished regularly too by friendly and charming staff. Talking of staff, check-in was fine (done by a man) but during our stay, reception was hardly ever manned and when it was, the receptionist, one particular woman, never engaged with guests but stared coldly at them as they passed by.
We had dinner in the restaurant one evening which was excellent. The restaurant does not keep regular hours and closes quite early.
main market though.
The attention to detail and design in the hotel is exceptional and the exterior has been beautifully renovated - it is a popular photo stop for tourists.

One of the best hotels where I have stayed, if not the best. Located in a central position in Riga, a short distance from the main monuments, the hotel immediately presents itself as a truly four-star structure. Well-kept environments, with carefully chosen furnishing elements and colors. The room assigned to us was actually a studio apartment: there was a kitchenette with fridge and oven and a sort of lounge area. Really spacious, like the bathroom with a bathtub. Absolute cleanliness in all environments. Sufficiently varied breakfast, but above all with top quality food. The staff is helpful and speaks fluent English. Prices: by booking with a well-known site, with which I am entitled to a 15% discount, we paid around €150.00 per night. An affordable price. I have no advice on the rooms: they are perfectly soundproofed. Two details: every day we found two free bottles of water in the room and breakfast included a tablecloth and cloth napkins. They may seem silly, but from the details you can see the attention to the customer.

This has to be one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Really struggling to find even the tiniest fault. We booked one of the senior suites which had a separate bedroom, excellent bathroom with bath as well as shower, large towels, dressing gowns and slippers. The sitting room was huge with comfortable sofa and chair as well as a dining table, kitchen area, coffee machine as well as kettle, well stocked minibar. And a balcony, which the wonderful weather gave us a chance to enjoy. The bed was very comfortable and despite being in the centre of the old town a few steps away from the cathedral there was no noise at all at night either from outside or within the hotel. The building itself is beautiful, with huge windows and large wooden doors, really well maintained. Breakfasts were excellent with great help-yourself coffee, an array of cold and hot food, juices, lovely fresh bread, fresh fruit, pastries, pickled herring for the courageous...We had dinner in the restaurant on the last night which was also first rate. The staff are friendly and efficient without being effusive, the perfect balance. It was the perfect three night stay, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anybody.

We stayed here for three nights recently and absolutely loved our stay. Out of the three hotels we stayed in in each of the Baltic states we rate this the highest. Firstly its location in the old town. The Christmas market was just a stone’s throw away and was the city bell tower. Our room was on the highest floor (6th) which meant our ceiling was slanted which gave it character! The room was large, had a little kitchenette as you enter. Bathroom floor was heated which was much appreciated during these cold winter’s days. We had a little sitting area with a study table as well. Everything looked new and warm and welcoming. Breakfast spread was adequate with a good selection of hot and cold foods. On the last morning which was a Saturday we even had a glass of sparkling wine at breakfast! Highly recommended to give this place a try because for the price you pay this is a great deal. Loved our stay

We stayed four nights and it was perfect for us. We chose a room at the back to limit noise, and it was extremely quiet. Indeed at this time of year the street at the front even is very quiet, so a room at the front probably would have been fine.
Our room was on the 5th floor and had some views over rooftops and the tower of the Town Hall, lit up at night. The room was very large, with sofa and armchairs, and a small kitchen area. It was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good, with quite a choice, and coffee from the machine was much better than is typical. It was in the same room as used for the restaurant which is only open Wed-Sat (we didn’t try it).
There was complimentary water each day. Reception had a good map and leaflets. The story of the history of the hotel is very interesting and worth a read. Its façade (pre hotel) features in a book on Riga’s Art Noveau that we bought.
A couple of little suggestions are that there could usefully be a small dish for the soap in the bathroom, and more hangers in the wardrobe (they needn’t be fancy).
Travelling to or from the airport is fairly easy, with the local 22 bus route stopping just by the river bridge, just over 5 minutes walk away. It costs EUR 1.81 per person from the driver by card (the only bus that allows that), while the taxi we took from the airport charged over EUR 40.

Truly excellent hotel, stayed 3 nights in a senior suite with balcony, which is double the size of the smaller suites. Very large living area with kitchenette, plus sofa, armchair and desk, and a large double bedroom. Beautifully furnished and all spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed, good reading lights. Kitchenette included kettle and coffee machine, fridge included a mini bar which was reasonably priced. Free daily water. Bathroom was lovely too, perfect shower and tub, magnifying mirror, toiletries (shower, shampoo, vanity kit, shower cap, body lotion), plus robes and slippers. Breakfast was excellent, huge variety and all delicious. Friendly staff, and enjoyed the massages- I had the foot one, my friend the rejuvenating one, can only do one person at a time though. Booked taxi transfers from airport (€35 one way). Had dinner first night, best meal we had during our stay. Location is perfect, right next to Christmas market at the Dome with great bars, cafes etc on doorstep, as well as major sights. Will be back!

Hotel is in a good location near to shops and restaurants Main sights are within walking distance. Whilst the hotel rooms had the facilities to cook in house, we did not use the. Breakfast was 20 euros and catered for continental and English. When we went to book for dinner the restaurant was not open on a Monday, not advertised anywhere, also for the next two nights it was pre booked for Christmas parties.so we could only use the hotel on our last night. Rooms at the main road side are extremely noisy from the restaurant across the road. Earplugs are available and if you try hard enough, spare rooms are available. Hotel was let down by the lack of restaurant facilities and noise.

One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Spacious rooms which are well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Extremely well equipped mini bar and reasonably priced. Microwave, hob, kettle and coffee machine all in the little kitchenette. Slippers, dressing gowns, toiletries and hair dryer all provided. Good shower and even better bath, perfect for relaxing after winter days outside. The lights in the room could be dimmed and the main one even came on dim, so no blinding lights first thing in a morning! Location could not be better, less than a minute walk to Dome Square (Christmas markets here in December), about 15min walk to the central bus station and only 5min walk to the airport bus stop (bus number 22, runs every 20mins). Friendly and helpful staff, amazing breakfast (choice of cooked or continental) and even large glasses for juice - not like the tiny ones you usually get in hotels! Warm and quiet, never heard any other guests and even on a Saturday night there was just a distant noise of the Christmas markets up the street (we were in the room on that end of the building as well). We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was lovely. Cannot fault this place at all, everything has been perfect.

Excellent Hotel in all regards: building, room, decor, food. Reasonably priced too. To be more specific: you do not have to be fan of Art Nouveau to like the building, the rooms are large and really stylish with armchairs, coffee table, desk, huge bathroom, kitchenette, AC. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and yummy. The hotel is in the city center: there may be some street noise, but I did not have to use the earplugs from the amenity pack!

Positive: - good breakfast - clean, large rooms - great location in the middle of the old town
Negative: - we got a room on the floor above the restaurant directly on the street/alley, where several groups of tourists were hanging out all night long, talking and laughing loudly. We could hardly sleep at all because of the noise. This was despite the windows being closed. If you book a room there, you should ask in advance to get a room on the 5th or 6th floor at the back. After checking in, I asked to change rooms, which was immediately refused by the lady at reception - I have rarely experienced such listless and unfriendly staff at reception. When checking in and out, there was hardly a warm smile or friendly hello
There are definitely much better hotels in Riga where you can sleep peacefully at night and you are greeted and said goodbye to as a guest in a friendly way.
