Lev Ljubljana is in a great location, with the entire city just a 5-minute walk away. The center, city park, and other attractions are easily accessible, and it is convenient to arrive by car. The reception staff was nice and friendly.
Facility's Shortcomings
While the structure has undergone some restyling efforts over the years, it is showing signs of age. It's becoming increasingly clear that more effective and immediate solutions are needed to address these issues. Here are just some examples.
- The air condition is loud and not working properly The toilets are not flushing properly. I called the service at least three times. The bathtub—the water does not hold if you fill it up, but it leaks. The water pipes are old and stiff. - You could tell they'd tried to do some updating, but it looked like a shoddy, cheap job was done. No bathrobe. - The rooms, primarily designed for one-night stays, lack adequate space for clothes. This is a significant drawback for guests planning longer stays in the city or country, up to five days. The hotel’s rooms need to be more accommodating, with wardrobes and space for customers.
- The elevators are super slow and mostly overflowed by people's traffic, so the waiting time is long. Only 2 out of 3 working
- The Breakfast Room—probably the work experience—has an average good offer but is poor with fresh fruits. The service in the breakfast room is really bad. The management hired some seasonal young people and some coordinators who have not done much of the work previously, so if you ask for some assistance or order things, they seem lost, and there is a lack of coordination and for that, your morning routine can ruin the start of the day. You may be disappointed or frustrated. Also, here is some updating for the breakfast area, but it looked like a cheap job was done.
- The bar in the lobby is not connected to the hotel, so its food offer is very poor and limited. I have seen that this hotel has a huge turnover of people per day from all over the world, and the room service is bad. The bar has no kitchen, so you can expect to be served just some poor sandwich at 22.
- I saw that most of the people were complaining about the garage. The cost per day is 19€. It is not about the price, but the garage facility looks abandoned, dark, and in a poor state, lacks light, and is confusing; it is very small and cramped. The lack of personnel does not have time or power to intervene even though surveillance cameras are at the front desk. We have parked just around the corner at the Intercontinental Hotel, which looks like a nice modern parking facility from the city that has much better pricing and structure
Let me add that the service and reception are super friendly, and they try to do everything possible to fix things. They know and are aware that the facility has tons of problems and works with quite heavy stress. However, these problems do not depend on the receptionist; overall, the poor management and the state of the hotel reflect a lack of overall investment and really bad management.

At first glance the interior of the hotel looks pretty swish; they must have had a refurb recently but I would think it was done by someone who never stays more than a night in a hotel bedroom. For example, because there is nowhere to put my clothes they are all laid out on the windowsill. And there is no where to dry the towels and so they change them everyday! Very wasteful and an environmental disaster. A few more shelves, hangers and towel rails would make so much difference! And when will hotels realise that couples usually both have their own suitcases and so they both need a stand for them! Otherwise, the view is amazing and the hotel is central. The breakfast is good and the lifts work. The staff seem disinterested in their guests (too many I suppose) There was some eye rolling at reception when we asked for milk for our tea! Not sure why it has four stars - it’s too basic for 4. Maybe 3?

The room was a decent size and the location was good for us because we had a car and needed parking nearby. It was an easy walk to the city center. The staff were nice and friendly. The bed was not the most comfortable, but not bad. There were plugs on both sides of the bed, a full length mirror and a mini fridge. They had done some updates to the hotel, but it was more worn than I had anticipated.
The air conditioning did not work well at all. It blew cool-ish air out but the room temperature would not go down and it was a hot and humid weekend in July. The bathroom was really dark, plus not all the lights worked, making it even worse. The bathroom was also where you could tell they'd tried to do some updating, but it looked like a shoddy, cheap job was done. Over all it wasn't terrible for a couple of nights stay but I would look elsewhere next time.

We stayed here for five days courtesy of Riviera Travel and it was sadly five days too long. The hotel was in many respects quite good and conveniently positioned. However and importantly, sleep proved difficult throughout our stay due to the absence of the air conditioning that was reasonable to expect and explicitly promised by Riviera to be available and working. The room was very hot and the minimal window opening was insufficient to allow the heat out but enough to let the street noise in. This was exacerbated by pedestrian signals that seemed fairly quiet when alongside but permeated the room and ones head throughout day and night when the window was ajar. Management were generally unhelpful and they expressed surprise when a hair dryer was requested ("what do you want that for?") and indifference when the electrical supply to our room required restoration. An interesting 'safe' that could be easily transported in ones hand luggage.....or that of others! Wi Fi and breakfasts were good although replenishment of the latter was a little tardy and frustrating unless one had endless time to wait.

Booked through Booking. As soon as we arrived we were greeted at the reception by a gentleman who, asking for the possibility of checking in half an hour before (at 1:30 pm instead of 2 pm), replies with a rude and annoyed tone that it was not possible, telling us to return later indicating the exit. After insisting, he checked the room availability that was ready. Arrived in the room we immediately notice some black spots on the carpet of the room. We went to the bathroom we find that the toilet flush did not work, the flow of water was so light that it did not flush toilet paper: we alerted 2 ladies of the staff of the fault taking them inside the room as they did not understand English well... they did not do anything, the toilet remained like this for 2 days. I add other sore notes related to the bedroom: ventilation vent filter completely filled with dust. The bathroom does not have a shower, but a bathtub with an uncomfortable fixed wall-mounted shower head (there is no hose with shower). The windows of the room, even if closed, create a flood of moisture and condensation. The room assigned to us did not have any ceiling light point at the bed, they were present only in the access corridor... for "luck" there were lamps on the bedside tables... (attachment photo). The breakfast buffet has various choices between sweet and savory, the problem turns out to be the organization of the staff in the room: tables half set and not cleaned well. On the plus side, the hotel is in a great location within walking distance of the historic city centre.

The room was really nice and clean. Cleaning was spotless (honestly never seen a hotel bed being so clean) and no noice at all could be heard from the other rooms. Amazing view of Ljubljana from the 12th floor. Good service from the staff, and the location is great with a 5-10 minute walk to the old town/city center.
The only negatives were expensive parking in the garage and one of the elevators were currently out of service so it was a lot of traffic in the working ones and it could take a while. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I am not fully satisfied with this choice considering that we are talking about a 4 star and we paid quite a lot for a premier suite, which then suite was not because the premises were all open so not a real suite... As soon as we arrived the hot water did not work and once made known they arranged. As already read in previous reviews, an elevator has not worked for a long time, with two elevators we even waited 20 Min to get down! The cleanliness in the room (new room on the thirteenth floor) leaves something to be desired with a lot of dust on the duvets... made note but has not improved much. Very kind staff but at the reception an attendant who speaks Italian perfectly serves as the clientele is 50% Italian... Another problem is the parking that there is not for everyone (and you also pay) and I was forced to look for it one km from the hotel! Breakfast is good and plentiful. You pay immediately on arrival. It is very close to the center which is easily reached on foot

Hotel is in a great location to explore only few minutes walking, my room was clean and modern. No minibar or fridge in room which when it’s hot and you might want some snacks was an inconvenience. Also the AC was strange as when you entered the room the vents are located over the entrance so it was chilly but then get into the main room where the beds were it was hot and stuffy and I struggled to sleep. Found bed extremely firm and uncomfortable. My main let down however were the reception staff. They were so slow at check in and the man seemed to be typing on his computer goodness knows what! It was late and I’d asked him where I could go for food still open and he took 5 minutes just to write down the names of two restaurants. Check out was a similar ordeal and I was also told I had an outstanding €50 I needed to pay even though the guy didn’t know why. Fortunately someone came and looked and cleared it! Staff seem to be happy to get on with other things even when they can see guests are waiting. Customer service needs improving.

The images you see online are a bit misleading, live the structure is a bit old. Overall it was more than enough of a stay because the hotel only serves as a support and most of the time is spent visiting the city. Point definitely favors the breakfast which is plentiful and well stocked with a wide choice. The rooms have old furniture, but they are clean, only the bathroom I found full of limestone although it was clean. Small spaces with a yellow and light carpet uncomfortable for those who, like us, found rain and punctually got dirty where you walked. Sore notes of the stay: Parking: few spaces at too high a price and for all other guests is not provided the service. Elevator: half an hour wasted to get off/up at peak times. I have repeatedly opted for 7 floors on foot. Beds: very hard mattresses and pillows without support, I never rested. Hot: excessive heat in the rooms, but if you open the window street noise prevents rest.

Hotel located near the center of Ljubljana. The only positive note is the central location because in the service is not at all a 4 star. The minibar is missing, the sink was clogged for the 3 days of the stay. Even the fan has always been malfunctioning (on day and night), despite the warning. In addition, the room, on the last day in town, was not re-governed even though the service had been requested with the appropriate sign posted outside the door. There are 3 elevators to a 13 story hotel, but one has always been out of service, another would not stop on my floor because the button was broken. The hotel has parking that you pay separately at 19 euros per day. I think for the price you pay that should also be included. Definitely if I return to Ljubljana I will stay in another hotel.

Hi. Maybe check parking garage in Trdinova street (quite close to the hotel), if they have any good offers for overnight stay, it worked for me but it was a few years ago. Recently I went without car.
Best,
You should take advantage of the bus.
You can travel from the airport to the station at 4.1 euros.
You need to pay the driver directly.
At that time you need to tell the driver the destination.
However, there are only 1 or 2 buses per hour.
Please check the time on the web.
You can find "ap-ljubljana" in internet.
When you enter "airport" and "ljubljana", the time is displayed.
It is a 10 minute walk from the station to the hotel.
There are more places to choose from in the Ljubljana area.
