This hotel's location will not be for every tourist visiting Ljubljana for the 1st time, but I knew that going in so did not have unreasonable expectations.
In retrospect, I am glad I chose this hotel for a different perspective. It's is located within a popular shopping district with some interesting food choices and an outdoor international food court about 1/3 mile away.
This hotel is about 2.5 miles from the main train/bus station and about 3 miles for the touristy area. Being I arrived unknowingly on Slovenian Independence Day, the public bus was running on a irregular schedule and after not finding a Bus 27 decided to walk the 2.5 miles with my 25 +lb backpack. It was manageable and easy to find the hotel with navigation.
For the rest of my time in Ljubljana, I regularly used Bus 27 (a few hundred feet from the hotel) to traverse back and forth between my hotel and where I wanted to go in the touristy area. It was simply a credit card payment of 1.30 Euros when you entered the bus and about 20 to 25 minutes to get there. Part of the travel experience is sometimes riding public busses with the locals.
As for the hotel, I was pleased with it. Here why:
1. Stylish, clean, and functional room. It was in excellent shape.
2. Control of the HVAC which is critical. Not all European hotels allow their guests to actually control the AC. This hotel did and it was appreciated.
3. Good bed/linens.
4. I have spent hundreds of nights (maybe 600 hundred) in a hotel in my life and this hotel's water pressure in the shower was among the Top 5! Very impressed.
5. A very good buffet breakfast was included in my Radisson Rewards redemption.

The hotel is very modern and is very easy to reach, especially because of its proximity to main transport links. Ideal for business trips, but it is also recommended for private use. The rooms are very comfortably furnished and you can't hear any traffic noise. All rooms are air-conditioned. The breakfast is fantastic! The service at reception and bar is very good - very friendly staff. Good value for money. I was there for the third time and it was wonderful as always!

Our first 2 nights stay here on our 10N Balkans trip. The location is good though a bit out of main town still there is a City Park Shopping Centre Mall with Interspar for easy shopping, just a 10 mins walk away. Written another article on this too. The Hotel appearance is good (especially at night), that of a modern glass tower and easily become the landmark in the area. We stayed at 1 floor and our room view is limited to a pre-owned car showroom (see pic). It was 2 large Queen-sized big for us and easily open x2 large luggage with walking space! Bathroom good size too with amenities. We only have the breakfast here and our comment -> excellent. They started even before the opening hours of 6:30am which is impt for us whom leaves the Hotel early. The spread was extensive many choices of meat, break, paste fruits etc. Staff & friendly receptionists made for a good stay. Definitely recommended a stay here.

We had booked the suite on the 14th floor and had the same expectations that we had with other hotels. Unfortunately, it went wrong the first day. The air conditioning didn't work and the first night was a nightmare with a few hours of sleep. The refrigerator for the minibar did not work either, so we had to settle with some lukewarm water from a couple of bottles that stood in it. There was "Courtesy of Radisson Blu", but it turned out to be only for members! In addition to a bill for these we also had to pay for some unspecified drink, which we had not consumed. The refrigerator was replaced the next day, and the air conditioning was repaired so much that the temperature dropped to 23 degrees... At the reception they claimed that it was not possible to get further down because it was so hot in Ljubljana! Otherwise there were no problems with the shops and restaurants we visited. Breakfast was not much. Eggs, roast eggs, bacon and other "warm" were not covered to, so it quickly became cold, and bread and bakeries were dry and boring (from the day before?) We had to ask room service several times for clean cups, teaspoons, coffee, shampoo etc. The 2 stars get the hotel for some good beds and a good - but not very efficient - customer service. But this is the last time we use Radisson Blu.

We had a suite in the 14th. Stock. The suite was very nice, and great. It offers a very nice bathroom and a very large double bed. The view is also extremely commendable. The hotel is very modern and has an achönen style. The staff at the bar were very friendly and responded to all our requests. And the breakfast was also very large and had everything to offer. And the breakfast staff was also very friendly.
When we arrived the receptionists were rather annoying when we asked if there was a room service. Since we had a 10-month-old baby with us and didn't want to disturb anyone in the restaurant. Once in our suite, there was long black hair in our bed. On the first day we had ordered chicken wok 2 times in room service, after 40 minutes we had received tofu wok 2 times. We didn't want to complain and thought we'd eat it anyway. In the night suddenly the air conditioning system started to blow strongly cold air, when we asked in the reception, the master just wanted to give us a blanket, as he could do nothing. The next day we had ordered the rigatoni, they were unfortunately so much cooked that I thought they were forgotten in the water. Then I wanted to pay all the extras the night before we left and the lord at the reception told me that the printer is not working now but he will print the invoice later and I reverberated it at check out. But he didn't tell me that my card wouldn't work, he said it all fits the confirmation we get tomorrow. When we wanted to check out the next day, the young gentleman with glasses at the reception pointed out to us extremely unsympathetically that the card would not work, and very unkindly addressed my wife if we had no money. It seemed to me that he wouldn't want to take us seriously and laugh at us. I paid in cash, of course. When we refueled our car afterwards with the same card we were of course instructed by the opposite, because the same card worked. I will not recommend this hotel due to very unfriendly staff. I don't understand what people like this young guy do in the hospitality industry. I find such a faded shameful.

We stayed only one night, with free upgrade at 11 floor. Beautiful room, clean and functional, with kettle available. Very comfortable bed. Very large bathroom, and well stocked breakfast room with Intercontinental room. Very professional and kind receptionist. Property near BTC Shopping area with many shops .With 10 euros you take a taxi that in a few minutes arrives in the center of Ljubljana. Large garage for cars. At 200 MT Acquapark Atlantis where you have a 30% discount being guests of the structure. It was very hot in the room, and despite the first night I called reception, I was told it was centrally air-conditioned, so 20 degrees everywhere... But after a sleepless night, and a dinner paid for but not consumed because of the too hot in the room, (they could save this since in the butter I found a sharp plastic blended together and almost swallowed it under the petrified gaze of the waitress who did not know how to apologize ..) they tell me that maybe there is actually some problem with the air conditioning. They send a room attendant to verify that the fan is malfunctioning. To overcome the problem, since the structure was full, they direct us to another structure (5 stars ) with garage at 10 pm, in the center of Ljubljana for the same price. Certainly these unexpected events can happen, but if they had done a Deep dive the night before, I would not have been forced to move at night to another facility

Second rate hotel in the middle of nowhere. The staff do everything possible to counter the miserable experience of this hotel. Noisy rooms where you can distinctly the neighbours noises even small, restaurant closed on Sunday night at 6 pm, minimum amenities in the room: no sleepers , a single pillow in the bed etc...etc.... i have already blacklisted many " Luxury" chains of hotel as they are now in the extortion business, I am going to blacklist Radisson Blu so poor is the quality they offer . The staff justify the two stars as their competence and kindness goes over the shortcomings of the management. Only 2 staff at the reception for a hotel of 15 floors and 500 rooms! Only 2 staff left on Sunday night to take care of the food for clients......they do the best they can. Finally another hotel where no number is given on the the room telephone to call the reception. It's not by chance , it's by design as if saying to us not to bother them.

I have to fully agree with the last review: avoid at all cost. The AC did not work, so hot nights. The room was horrible and we had a junior suite. The layout of the room is just very poor, the room was very depressing, cramped and dark. It was evident why the cleaning ladies closed the curtains in the room all the time (to keep the warm out)... The shower room has a window wall so absolutely no privacy in the shower. Not very nice when you are not travelling for example friends or families with teenagers. The toilet has a poor small sink that flows over even when washing hands. The main bed was like a trampoline, and the extra bed was very short. Location is far from the city and they charge you 15 euros per day for parking. There is no restaurant in the building (only breakfast). The breakfast was good and that is the only good thing I can say. Would never book again.

I will start with the positives: the hotel location was very convenient for us because it is very close to the highway and our main interest was to visit Lake Bled and Postojna area. The breakfast was good even if was lacking the natural orange juice. There was a good variety of bread, vegetables, fruits, eggs, pastry, coffee. The room service was also great the hotel burger and the sicilian sauce pasta were really great. Unfortunately I was not impressed bu the bled cream cake, it was nowhere comparable with what we have eaten in Bled. Probably they should hire a chef from Bled to solve this issue. The room we have received was at 12th floor and had a nice view over the mall nearby. Parking was free of charge and we were very satisfied with the underground parking and the parking system using the elevator. My car bearly entered the elevator.
Now about the negatives: The cleaning in the room is not done properly everywhere. Under the bed we found lots of the things from the previous guests. Mattress was very soft and I could not sleep well. The safe was not functioning due low level of the batteries. Service was a hit-or-miss
We will think twice before booking this hotel again in Ljubljana when we want to come back.

Booked this hotel during our two nights in Ljubljana. If you do not like air conditioning this is the hotel for you, as there isn’t any. Hotel did provide us with a fan though when requested. This is clearly an issue so I am unsure why Radisson does not sort this issues out for guests. Junior suite was adequate but I would argue they are not much bigger than a standard room. Curtains not big enough for windows, so let light in. Fan noise in room but no air conditioning. Breakfast selection very good, no complaints. Bus number 27 goes to town very easily from the bus stop across from Decathlon store and is cheap (approx 15 mins one way). Parking, save your money and park in the free parking lot behind the hotel, not even a stones throw away. Hotel should not be charging to park based on the price of the room and the fact the hotel car park is adjacent to the free car park. We did this and saved €15 per night.
