Large, spacious and stylishly furnished rooms, friendly staff and a good, plentiful breakfast, which you can enjoy on the large outdoor terrace with a view of the Sava when the weather is good.
There is free parking at the accommodation, but as the B&B also offers a restaurant with (evening) cuisine and cakes (delicious!), free parking spaces are sometimes a rare commodity.
You can get to Ljubljana in 15 minutes by car or public transport, and other great travel destinations can also be reached quite quickly, so you are also flexible.
Clearly recommend booking!

Lovely small hotel, just a short bus ride from the city of Lubliana. Rooms are nicely furnished, meals served at the restaurant on the river are delightful and the food is fresh and good. All the stuff are extra friendly. Great place to come back. Great value in a lovely spot!

This B & B was everything that we had hoped for. Beautiful, a great room and fantastic service. My wife and I spent our first 3 nights here after our transatlantic flight from Miami to Venice. We rented a car at the Venice Airport and first stopped at the Lipica Stud farm on the way and then at Predjama Castle. Needless to say we were extremely tired upon our arrival. A very nice young lady, who also served as a waitress, (I am sorry I did not get her name since she was very gracious and efficient) assisted us until she located Tomas(pronounced Tomash) a receptionist. He assisted us with our luggage and general information (bus schedule, etc.).
We had booked a deluxe room and it certainly was, both in size and furnishings. We were able to find parking on the premises even though we arrived at approximately 19:00. Sometimes there is no parking on the property if you arrive late since there is a lot of activity in the B&B in their downstairs tavern (drinks, snacks and sandwiches). There is also a restaurant next door where we had dinner right after we had settled in our room. It is good and convenient serving large portions. If there is no parking on the property there is a free large lot diagonally across the street with plenty of parking. I parked there 1 night, since we came back late from Ljubljana and it is very safe. Parking is not an issue as some reviews say.
In the morning we met Daniela, the owner's sister and Tomas's aunt, who was at the reception and talked us into driving into the center, about 15 minutes, since it was a Saturday and parking was free at the Tivoli Gardens car parks (plenty of spaces also free on Sundays) a 10-15 minute walk to Preseren Square. She gave us simple directions how to get there. Otherwise you can take bus #8 which stops in front of the B&B every 15 minutes and a 20-25 minute ride for 1.20 Euro each way. Daniela was very pleasant and very helpful with information and easy check out. They can help you with the bus tickets. She also gave us information about driving to Lake Bled, which we did on Sunday, and also about the small village of Brezje, 10 minutes before Bled, where the Virgin Mary has appeared and is a pilgrimage destination for devout Catholics.
Breakfast is served on the terrace by the river or in the inside breakfast room. We had great service from Ales (pronounced Alesh) serving us with made to order eggs and any kind of coffee that you wanted. There is also a self served buffet with meats, cheeses, yogurts, breads, cereals, juices, etc. Very good!
Highly recommend this charming B&B especially if you are driving. Would definitely stay there again. I believe it is somewhat near the airport but not sure. We stayed June 8-11, 2018.

We made the mistake of only staying one night. Besides going into the city, there is some very good hiking right outside your door. Jasmina has combined all the elements that we enjoy and like. Beautiful setting, great rooms, excellent breakfast, place by the river for a drink, lunch/dinner and only 15 minutes into town. Take some extra time and enjoy all that this place has to offer!

This is a great place to stay about 15 minutes drive to the centre. We found it to be very well appointed with great beds, a large bathroom and a nice view of the river. The staff are very pleasant,p. There is a cafe and we really enjoyed sitting on the outside patio in good weather enjoying a beverage and dinner. The menu is limited but we found the food good and the prices reasonable. You can order a hot breakfast from the menu and there is a cold selection of cereal, bread, yogurt, cheese and meat as well. The bar/restaurant next door has good food as well. Highly recommend this B&B.

I stayed at this family owned B&B for five days during a sports tour. A nice spacious room with two couches and a big bathroom with a shower but no bath. The room has a small fridge and a lovely big bed. Some complimentary tea and coffee in the room would be nice. My room had a lovely view over the river.
Breakfast was very average and one morning I got there a little before 10:00 and there was nothingleft, getting a warm meal proved to be a trial and I got the feeling that they didn't want to serve me. Overall the breakfast is a disappointment and doesn't meet the standard of the rest of the place.
Lovely warm service from everyone and overall a nice experience and I'd recommend it.

The Deluxe double room has a king size bed, a sofa and table in a spacious room with river-view. Must be one of the bigger rooms. Has as well a safe. We were in Slovenia with 30 degrees and the room was very good airconditioned. Very good night rest with a confortable mattress and thanks to the silent location of the B&B. Bathroom is big and all is OK. The room was always very clean ! The modern mediterranean interior of the B&B has been made by an architect and feels very cousy. The staff and owner is very friendly and respectful. If you like, then in the morning they will give you enough ideas of what to do in surrounding and in Slovenia. Special thanks to Jasmina & son and Nina. The hotel has a very nice terrace were you can chill out with a good drink. Breakfast is taken at the terrace or inside and is a buffet one. Never had such an excellent WiFi available through the B&B, even not the 5 stars hotel we visit have it. Checked it and it was a 10 Mbps. It is for free. Liubliana is close and easy to drive to, Bled at 20 minutes drive, visiting the Slovenian Alps is perfectly possible, Postonja, etc ... Good bases for trips.

The B&B is situated at the outskirt of Ljubljana, it is easy to find, and the city center is easy to reach by car in 10 minutes. The street is not so quiet during the day, but in the evening is quiet and rooms are equipped with soundproof windows so you don't hear sounds from the street and you can have a good night sleep. It has a free private parking in front of the B&B. It is older, renovated building decorated with a lot of charm, warmth and details: we felt like we're at home, We had a beautiful room on the first floor: it was really spacious and comfortable with a french bed, sofa and armchair, coffee table, wardrobe, chest of drawers and a writing table. Bathroom had a lavatory, shower cabin and a toilet. Room and bathroom were tastefully decorated with small details that make you feel like you're at home. There are flat TV, mini-bar, air-condition system. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean: there were free toiletries. The room looked exactly like on photos on official website. The breakfast was very good, served at the dining room: tastefully decorated place with an open fireplace, set as a small coffee place. WiFi worked perfectly. The hotel owner and the staff is friendly and helpful.
I can recommend the B&B and would definitely stay there again when I'm in Ljubljana.

Stayed for 2 nights in this very cozy and elegantly designed mansion. Nice peaceful location right next to the river Sava, some 10min driving from city center. It is one of the places where you feel at home at. Friendly staff, beautifully designed with attention to the smallest details. For sure this is my new favorite hotel in Ljubljana and will stay there every time.

There is a bus line going past Dvor Tacen, but I have no clue until what time the bus is servicing. I would say a taxi will be you only way to the hotel. It's about 13 km from the city center, so a taxi ride even at the night tariff will not break the bank.
Hello,
Pardon for the late reply, but if I understand correctly you need a transport from Dvor Tacen to arive at the airport at about 5am?
Its not uncommon for our guests to go to the airport so early, so we can always offer to setup a taxi pickup at any specified time. My uncle drivers a taxi so either he comes or sends other reliable drivers :)
If you need any more information feel free to ask here or email us at info@dvortacen.si
Hope this helped,
