Hello. Me and 5 work friends got back around 2 weeks ago. We’d never visited Poland before and had groups of friends staying nearby so needed somewhere central but quiet. The apartment was fantastic, a short walk to the main square, clean and comfortable. Contact was really good with Miko from the start and the problem we had with the front door was solved within an hour of me contacting him with a handyman being sent straight round to fix it. Spacious apartment. Good location. Would use again.
Firstly, I can not believe how incredible Krakow is! There is so much to see - everything from museums crammed with treasures to all of the amazing medieval, Jewish and World War 2 history. Plus a bit of Communism too! Krakow Airport is very modern and the best way to get to the city centre is on the train, which starts and ends from a platform within the airport complex. They run every half hour in the day and even better is that you can pay in cash and buy your ticket on the train. Cost is about £3.00 one way. Krakow Glowny (the city centre) is about 6 stops and 25 minutes. You exit the station straight into a huge, modern shopping centre and then out into the street. Unfortunately from here the apartments are about 30 minutes solid walk away - go to the old town, actually walk right through it out the other side, and then continue basically straight on for another 20 minutes. However, all the ground in the city is completely flat - I mean as flat as a football pitch - so the walking is not strenuous. The apartments themselves are located in a converted 4-storey town house in a residential road and I have to say that they are superb! Be aware, however, that the receptionist is not there full time so you may have to ring up the telephone number on the door to get the keypad number so that you can get into the building when you arrive. Also the building has, not surprisingly, no lift. But my apartment itself was spotlessly clean and very modern. I had an enormous built-in kitchen area with a very large fridge-freezer, toaster, kettle, sink (but no plug), dishwasher, microwave oven, 4-ring electric hob and tons of easy to access storage cupboards. There were knives, forks, dishes, cups and pans and so on too. There was a separate dining table with chairs plus a lounge area with sofa and TV, although the TV really only showed Polish programmes but the Polish pop video channel was good. The bathroom was very clean and modern with a huge bath and shower above plus his 'n' hers wash basins. There was always hot water out of the taps and I found the apartment generally to be warm enough without the need for any extra heating from the radiators. There were two separate bedrooms, one with a double bed and a larger "Master bedroom" with two single beds together plus bedside cabinets and a writing desk with chair. Each bedroom had its own TV as well as the one in the lounge area.. In the main part of the apartment there was a large wardrobe. Despite the location it was quiet at night because of the double glazing on the windows. All in all the apartment was extremely clean, very modern, very spacious and very comfortable to stay in. Walking time to and from the old town each day was about 20 minutes one way. Do buy a "Krakow Card" (see the website) which allows entry into about 38 Krakow museums plus free travel on the bus and tram depending on the card purchased. I bought mine from the Tourist Information Centre under the colonnade facing the Basilica in the main market square. For something different visit Rynek Underground museum and for historical treasures see the National Museum and Wawel Cathedral. And if you really want something to boast about when you get back then don't miss the genuine Leonardo Da Vinci painting on display in the Czartoryski Museum. For the Jewish history in Krakow go to the Schindler Factory museum. The original Jewish area in Kazimiez is well worth a look. I would also highly recommend the day trip to Auschwitz (I pre-booked a guided tour on the internet through Get Your Guide). This is best because it is an hour and twenty minutes drive away from Krakow. This sad but amazing place will really make you think about mankind and life in general. All in all I had an amazing trip to Krakow and a wonderful stay at the Emaus Apartments.…
I would really recommend these apartments to other travellers. The apartments are spacious and meticulously clean. The beds are comfortable and the accommodation is within walking distance of Krakow's main attractions. However, what made our stay particularly special was the service we received from the manager. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she made some lovely breakfasts each morning - checking we were happy with what was on offer. What a find!
Absolutely cannot fault this place. The rooms are exactly what you need, comfortable, spacious and clean. The staff could not be helpful enough. Perfect distance from the town centre. Amazing... will definitely be booking again if we go back...
Stayed here for four nights in January for my birthday, the apartment was very clean and tidy. We stayed in a two bed apartment and it was huge so much room. I could not find a problem with the apartment, a nice ten minutes walk to the centre and the staff here were very helpful when we needed them. Also let use check in early with me been poorly. Thank you for that.
