We were positively surprised as we read negative reviews but it was the best wellness ever. The hotel room was spacious and silent. Nicely decorated. The food was delicious three course menu with free drinks included. The breakfast was good. And the best of the best the saunas. We booked unlimited wellness package from 12 to 2 pm next day. Every 30 minutes awesome sauna ceremonies with great light shows and great sauna masters. The hobbit cave saunas and the lake is helping to fully relax. Highly recommend.

We have visited this place this week and couldn’t get any better .
So hotel has got its own bus so you don’t struggle to get there . There is few swimming pools inside and outside with amazing sea water hot tube .
Choice of many saunas with different temperatures so everyone will find at least one suitable for them self . It is very lovely place with lots of to offer . Great idea for birthday present or just to treat yourself.
I will come back ! 😊

Our stay at hotel and spa complex was very pleasurable, definitely worth of visit. Everything was clean and nice looking, staff was helpful and respectful. However, food in hotel restaurant was kind of disappointing, I ordered swordfish and it didn't smell nice and definitely not fresh, I refused to eat it. My boyfriend ate it but he throwed up later that evening.

I arrived today for a 4 night stay to recover from some medical treatment - the perfect place to lay down on a sunbed and rest… so I thought!

Coming to a luxury “spa and wellness” hotel, you’d expect access to the spa and wellness as part of your stay right? Wrong! Access is chargeable by 90, 120, or 180 minutes. To go lay by the pool for the day there is a special 24 hour rate of 1,000 czk per day (from 12 noon one day to 12 noon the next, which is weird). 1,000 czk is an astonishing £35 gbp! And because of my treatment, I cannot use any of the spa facilities. When I raised this with reception and asked where else I can relax, I was told there’s no where else within the hotel complex, but I could go to the ‘beach bar’ by the side of the dam. There’s no beach towel or picnic blanket hire though.

I am really disappointed!! I was really clear when I booked I was having treatment and needed a place to rest because I requested a balcony room. We got that but it faces the back of other rooms and I’m yet to see the sun from it - maybe in the morning.

Oh, and the toilet is leaking! Great…

4 nights then home time. I can’t wait!!

Recently we went to the restaurant of Maximus Resort. As we never had a bad experience last year, we decided to go back again. Unfortunately this time the whole experience was a big disappointment. The food I’ve ordered was utterly disgusting, as it should have been pork terderloin with mushroom sauce and boiled potatoes. They brought me rare meat, which had a weird smell. Tried to tell them that I cant have uncooked meat as i am pregnant, but no one was coming to serve us. After 5 mins of waiting I had to call a different waiter and told him the problem. He took the meat right away. After 10 mins they brought me a different meat, but cooked very much similar to what it was before. Meat still had a weird smell, was uncooked and felt like rubber. Meantime potatoes and sauce got cold and in combination with meat it was just horrible. They saw i was clearly not happy with the quality of the food, so they rather did not even ask if everything was ok and ignored me. I did not feel like paying for the meat as it was absolute disgrace, but i felt embarrassed for them, so rather did not mention anything as I just wanted to leave. After this experience I would not go there again and either would not recommend this restaurant.

Response from Maximus Resort, Other at Maximus Resort
Responded 23 Jul 2021
Good day, thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry for your bad experience with our restaurant. We are not happy to hear things like that as we always try to maintain a high strandard of our services. We cook from fresh ingredients only, we would never offer our guest something that is not fine. Every meal should be always prepared according to the guest´s demands, there is no doubt about that. We are sorry that this did not happen even after you pointed out your issue. Also staff should always ask the guest if everything was allright. These are definitely things that should not happen, we will do our best to avoid them. As you vsited our resturant several times and were satisfied, we belive this was just one time case. Best regards Maximus Resort Team

Spa and Wellness was great experience, staff were good and helpful.
Stay at the hotel on the other hand was poor. There was no 24/7 room service as stated on the brochure. Food was below standard! They even forgot to bring ordered drinks.
We would at least expected water in the room complimentary not as a part of minibar offer.
Overpriced for the service.

We had a great and relaxing stay in this hotel. The rooms are OK (nothing fancy to be honest), but the Wellness area is really great, we enjoyed it a lot.
Very nice restaurant too, excellent food and interesting wine choice.
A bit far from the city center though, but well, you know it when you book it.

I never write reviews no matter how bad a hotel or service might be but after traveling another 10 days around Europe post our stay in Maximus hotel I can not shake off the terrible service we received.
The room was ok but the staff and especially the service in the Portum restaurant was outrages.
We had our 3-year-old boy and 1 and a half daughter with us.

My 1 and a half year old daughter was sitting in the normal chair because they fail to tell us that there were baby seats. While we were going through the menu and were about to order to this very ignorant girl waitress, our daughter fell of the chair on her head. The waitress did not blink. While we were in panic she kept standing there and expecting us to order. After a couple of minutes I had to tell her to give us a minute. She left and than sent another girl instead. I guess she couldn’t be bothered with us.

The second girl that served us was ok until she got her tip (25% of a 50 euro bill). We were leaving she didn’t even acknowledge us.

If Oliver would ask for a drink or something to eat if he did it in a loud voice (he is 3) the staff would turn around and shush him.

I should point out there was no one in the restaurant, just us (I guess people knew better)

We had been traveling for 8 hours that day and the kids were hungry and existed otherwise I would have just stood up and left the whole place.

Don’t pick this place. It will spoil your month, not your day, not your week –your month.

Rude, rude people

We just came back from Maximus Resort. Come on guys, it was the biggest disappointment ever 🤭🤣 ... this kind of service for this money 🤨?! We have traveled around the world and believe me, you can get better service almost everywhere 😉.

1. We made a booking 1 month ago with one price and once we got there they were like “we just publish new prices you need to pay extra” like you buy a voucher but they can change it as they feel.

2. The package included couple of stuffs like bottle of wine, kimono and plat of fruit. We got a piece of fabric with a towel and at the end the girl just pull out 3 fruits place it in the counter and a mini bottle of prosecco🤔.

I am sorrry for all Maximus lovers ....🙏🏼🙏🏼

I have never been so disrespected when it comes to this type of service. They sell themselves as a top luxury wellness place but at the end, if you don’t show up with the new iPhone and luxury stuff they don’t respect you. Instantly regret the money and the time spent.
