Beautiful property. Spacious rooms with great facilities. Staff was extremely polite and helpful. Special mention must be made of those at the reception, the housekeeping staff, those at the restaurant Viva, security and toto drivers.
Buffet breakfast included in the room rent is good enough but catering primarily to a vegetarian clientele. Otherwise, à la carte options are exorbitant. Two tawa rotis cost 115/-. One plate of Chicken Hakka Chowmein over 600/-. That was the only disappointment on an otherwise delightful stay.
Papiya Chowdhury at the live counter can make a killer omelette! We returned for seconds!

It was a wonderful experience. Chef Bidesh is exceptional with his cooking and courteous behaviour, Dibendu, Tapas and Utpal were too good their service. The housekeeping team was very efficient with the work, even late in the night they were ready to serve us in all possible way. We highly recommend this place.

Amazing weekend trip. Nice service. Good food. Buffet breakfast spread was nice. A experience to cherish for. A very nice place for destination events or a family event just 45-60mins drive from Kolkata. The resort is quiet big but they have electric autos to transport you around 24x7. Over all a great experience & a fantastic property. Very helpful staff namely Pritoyush & Vikash.

Had a 2 night stay which was horrendous in many ways, bad linens ,rooms not cleaned, they dont provide you 2 keys even if you are in double occupancy no slippers ,only 6 pieces of face tissues even after asking the housekeeping they provided you 2 more pieces. I mean I have never seen a hotel which has problem in providing tissues. We went for the marriage over there and the banquets air conditioner is frequently switched off to save the electricity as ordered by management.
This staffs are rude and takes hell lot of a time to solve issues

Would not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel especially if you are planning for a social function.
No wonders they charge you a bomb for a below standard service.

Hope management wakes up after this message and treat guests as guests and not as business vendor

We had visited Anaya resort along with Family.
We had booked 4 rooms and we got 1115,1116,1117,1118 and 1024 room number.
When we entered the room it was very ill maintained.
Curtains were dirty.
Floor was full of dust.
Walls were filled with spots.
Worse was Room number 1024 which was called as Junior Suite.
Nothing extra except a small sofa.
We were cheated and when we complained then MR Somnath started arguing with us.
Worst behaviour you can except with MR Somnath.
Very rude n arrogant.
On 29th evening when we ordered Dinner (Paneer and Chicken), the gravy was 100% same.
When we complained, the chef was in an argument mode.
Reception is extremely dingy and dull.
Swimming pool was dirty.
Food is just overpriced like anything.
Best was the staff in their Restaurant.
They were very hospitable.
Otherwise a very very ordinary place with absolutely poor maintenance.
It’s okay to visit but don’t excpect a hospitality.
Also advisable to carry your own food stuffs as cost of food will burn your pockets.
Food costs at par with ITC Sonar Bangla.
MR Somnath…Be careful with this man..,

I totally agree with Ankit below. It is a good property which needs better management or service attitude. Could have given it 3.5 star but not worth 4 star right now.

We were here on 26th Jan Republic Day for a day . It was a last minute plan with a call to the hotel to confirm our booking late evening on 25th only.

Mr Sabyasachi was warm and friendly on phone and when asked when can we reach, asked us that we can reach by 11 . We all reached the hotel by 12 noon. Being a busy weekend, lot of people were checking out and there was a delay at the reception. We understood and waited patiently. Here our trouble with the hotel began. We had to loose our cool when the front desk told us that they neither had our booking confirmed nor do they have available rooms. Just imagine driving for 2 hours with kids and then being told that, that too after repeated assurance from Mr Sabyasachi. They did arrange our rooms in another half an hour while we had lunch but it did spoil our mood.

Anyways, about the property. It is very lavishly made with a number of activities to enjoy for both kids and adults. The rooms are spacious with good amenities. Our ground floor rooms had access to a small garden for us to sit and the kids to enjoy. Overall the property is among the better ones in and around kolkata.

Another con for the hotel is, they are trying to be penny wise. By mistake of our toddler a drinking glass broke in our room. Someone called us and said that we would be charged Rs 200 for the broken glass. Have never heard anything like this. Also charging Rs 400 for a Ice Bucket is tad more than we expect.

A good property but service attitude needs to be improved.

If I could give a zero I would. Terrible service. Bad rooms. But most important dirty rooms. We came in a office offsite for a meeting and when we went to the room, the toilet floor was dirty and the the towels on the floor were soiled too.

On top of everything they say they cannot send cups for coffee or any plates if we cannot order any food.

The service overall is horrible.

Either they are short staffed or they dont like getting guests. Such unwelcoming people, each query goes like a government office from one place to another.

1. We took a pool room and the floors were so slippery without any support floor mats.
2. After the very first shower the drain overflowed into the room.
3. At restaurant, we ordered a Lavazza coffee, which was non frothy, cold and bland. On politely asking the server he took it like a personal insult. And said I told you its machine coffee or else just order home made tea.
4. We ordered pasta for kids mand asked to add an extra garlic bread. He could have said he can give against charge..but he just didnt pay heed to the request.
5. Also all our order of soup, potato wedges and pasta was brought to the table at once.
Where as we clearly asked just for soup and wedges to be served first.
6. Our room was knocked and bell rang thrice post 11pm to ask for hookah base, which we had not ordered.
How can you disturb guests with kids like that late at night.

These are just the few and I really dont have enthu to write anymore about a brilliant property being shadowed by such horrible service and no etiquette of staff.

Only mention about the recreation area whose desk staff was supportive and ever smiling, He tried to help each and every guest in a nice resort quality welcome and warmth to his small area that he was entitled to manage.

Please save your money for a better option.
Property excellent
Staff horrible
Coordination down the drain.

We had gone for the weekend, 3 couples with kids. Room service is not good , understaffed, morning breakfast options very limited, apart from South Indian, hardly any good options to eat. Paratha was cold, dosa counter too crowded, chef asked to wait for my turn, in between serves 12 others, such pathetic is their condition. Housekeeping was responding after 30-45 mins, room service same. Paying amt equivalent to a 4-5 star and getting services of 2 star is not justified. Without appointing adequate staffs, this property will soon lose out on a lot of luxury seeking customers who are willing to pay for the services which these ppl r unable to provide. Highly disappointed ! Also to mention, had to arrange for our own drinking water as the refilling took 1 hr or more that too after lot of heated discussions and warning. Although worth mentioning that the food ordered through room service was very good. The property manager should pull up his socks till the time is on his side, with 15th august weekend coming soon. There were around 7-8 different families whom I know were also there and all of them had the same complain, some are vocal and some are not. It’s a beautiful property, don’t lose its charm management guys !

The food was miserably bad yet it was very very expensive. For 2 cups of milk tea they are charging 540 rupees. For the driver room they are charging 1000 + 18% GST and that room didn't even have a fan. I opted for the food package and the chicken they cooked it had skin on it. The fish wasn't fresh. I spend around 20k on a 24hrs trip in Amaya for 3 people and my driver and I couldn't be more disappointed. Also the Tv in my room didn't work, called the reception many times to get that fixed, they did nothing. I am never going back and would stop anyone making the same mistake I made.
