Please can you make it clear on your website that the kitchen closes at 8pm rather than just stating the opening hours of 5.30pm-9pm. There is nothing worse than arriving at 8.05pm in the middle of absolutely nowhere to be told that the kitchen is closed and nope nothing available, not a sandwich, not a quick question to the chef... just a shrug of the shoulders and a 'hard luck' attitude. It was clear that other diners had literally just received their hot food as well.
Also no issues at all paying for a shower but upon purchase please tell the customer that the water is cold - I understand this had been pointed out by another traveller earlier in the evening.
Thanks

Louise, please accept our humble apologies, what you have described is not in line with the fantastic experience we aim to give our customers. We provide two hot meal options for guests who arrive after the kitchen has closed and are sorry for any miscommunication. We provide truck drivers who visit or stay with us special offers, as they are an integral part of the community. Due to our remote location, we are faced with certain challenges, including reliance on bore water and limited technology. During much busier times, and on a rare occasion, the hot water system may not keep up with a high demand and we apologise for the inconvenience caused.

I had one of the best servings of fillet steak I have ever had for dinner in a clean well appointed dining room. The breakfast was also excellent with more raisin toast than I needed. It was good that the coffee was not served in a take away cup!

The motel room was a bit dark by the fridge and air conditioning. I suggest they put water in the fridge as it was impossible to fill the electric jug from the wash basin. I had to search for water outside the room.

Excellent place to stay before visiting the Head Of The Bight for whale watching.

The roadhouse was buzzing by the time we arrived around 3:00 PM mid-week. Roadtrains coming and going. Grey nomads pulling in for the night. Lucky we booked (months ago) because there was definitely no vacancy. Looks like the owners took the time during the covid years to give the rooms a lick of paint and generally spruce things up. Showers were clean with plenty of hot water. Food was great and staff very friendly. So glad we stopped.

We had a one night stop over, all up very very good. Very pleasant welcoming upon arrival, even though there wee a few checking on at teh time.

Dinner took a while to be served, but they advised at time of ordering that they only had one cook and service will be slow. Meal was quite good, very pleasant server.

Room was well presented, with comfortable bed, as its an older hotel there was room noise from adjacent rooms.

Got a toasted sandwich for breakfast, again, server was very pleasant (at 7am) and the sandwich was a delight, freshly made and really tasty.

We got all that we asked for and were very happy with our overnight stay. The room was very basic but clean & had everything we needed for a one night stay. To our surprise the food was very good & very reasonable priced considering where it is located & rhe bar was a great place to quench the thirst on a very hot afternoon & chat with other fellow travellers

Very good overnight stay.
Service by the staff was friendly.
The room was quite nice, clean and functional although the air conditioner struggled in the heat because it's situated in the walk-in wardrobe. A future update might consider adding a split system on one of the other walls so the cold air gets around the room.
Being concrete walled there was little problem with traffic noise overnight but rooms closer to the highway might be different.
Food at the restaurant was promptly served and very generous serving sizes. One or two gluten free options might help although I acknowledge that the isolation limits the ability to be too fancy.
The visit folder in the room made an important point that everyone needs to read...that everything is higher priced for a good reason - power generation, transport costs etc.
We appreciated the visit. This hotel is definitely one of the better ones on the Nullarbor and well worth the stopover.

Look, its in the middle of the Nullarbor, the only accommodation for about 200 km in either direction. Given that, the standard is quite high. It's expensive, and not luxurious, but staying in a warm dry room with a comfortable bed beats sleeping in a tent in the rain and packing it up wet the next day by a mile. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the food at the roadhouse is as good as it gets out there.

Stayed overnight 15th Feb. $130 for the night. A nice, functional 3 bed room ( but you only pay for number of people, in this case 1). Of course it had the almost compulsory sink tap that the kettle can't be filled under! But who cares. What made the stay great was a fantastic steakburgers . With the lot for $15. That's steak, bacon, egg, cheese and salad. Then I realized the nice girl serving me had only charged me $13 because I asked for no onion, no beetroot. Who does that?! It's the middle of the Nullarbor. Highly recommended

We had a motel room which was beautifully set out considering we were in 'outback conditions'. We enjoyed chatting about the history of the Roadhouse, how to get to the Tee Off for the Dingo's Den golf hole, and the fine dining room service. The new managers made us feel valued and went out of their way to cater for our food sensitivities by altering what was on the menu to suit our needs. Most ijmpressive was that the food was all home cooked and their was a selection of bakery products to take along on our trip such as muffins and vanilla slice. This roadhouse is popular with truck drivers, whale watchers on road trips, caravanners ,campers and has a strip for aviators. We would definitely recommend a visit to Nullabor Road House, stop for a meal or snack and a comfortable overnight stay

We camped (in a tent) at Nullabor Roadhouse for one night, amongst many caravaners that pulled in for the night. The ground is dry, hard and sandy, so we needed a bit of drill power to secure our tent pegs. The camping ground had several powered sites (no water), and a camp kitchen, no shade unfortunately apart from the shadow from our car as the sun went west.
There were several cabins available and were quite busy with people staying in them. I can't review these.
The Roadhouse sells fuel, and for the area of isolation it's situated in, it was reasonably priced. Probably about 40c/L dearer taht Perth prices.
The unlocked amenities are further away from the camping ground, situated at the Roadhouse. They were very clean and well maintained, probably one of the best we've used on our trip. Considering the amenities were open for public use we were quite surprised at how clean they were. You will need to take a dollar coin with you for a shower, this gives you 5 minutes of hot water, which is ample for a shower.
We spent time in the bar, attached to the Roadhouse, which had a good array of beers on tap and wine by the glass, as well as spirits. The staff were very friendly, obliging and helpful. There was a seperate dining room open for a couple of hours for dinner service. We stayed in the bar area as it was the same menu and dinner service. There were several tables and chairs, although it did get busy at dinner time and lots of people stepping in for a refreshing ale.
Additional things, not in the control of the RH was the weather, hot, windy and by morning a heavy dew and fog had set in and well......everything we had was soaking wet. It did get rather windy in the afternoon too.
All-in-all, we'd stay there again (but never at Nundroo), especially if next time we have our long awaited caravan.
Thanks Nullabor Roadhouse you should be proud of your facilities.

I once travelled across the Nullarbor with a three year old. We did it in 4 days from Melbourne to Perth. Never again that quick. Did not see any little children this last trip though. Depends on how your child travels.
