I visited Puerto Rico with my daughter. We stayed at Villa Verde Inn. We enjoyed our stay. They served breakfast in the morning. It was pretty close to different stores. Specifically a Walgreens where we were able to purchase everything we forgot to pack for the trip from water shoes to clothing items. The staffs at Villa Verde Inn were welcoming and friendly. I did not like the fact that our room was all the way in the back but we had a nice balcony view. WiFi and AC was provided in our room. The water pressure was pretty low, it felt like drizzling rain. Hope they take care of that. We wish they would’ve put hangers in the closet but they did provide some when we asked. I definitely recommend them, they were affordable.
Service is great. But you get what you pay for. -Breakfast is simple -Parking is right outside -A/C in every room remote had no batteries -Mini fridge -Small balcony -We thought we were getting bit by fleas -Ice available at the front desk -WIFI
While the staff were pleasant, that did not make up for the inhumane conditions my family endured while vacationing for a few days in San Juan. We stood in presumably the worst room they had to offer and made us pay an additional $10 a day for having a third person in a room with two full size beds. The A/C did not work effectively, blowing out only "coolish" air, the bathroom got hot like a sauna and had an emergency valve on the neck of the shower head which only gave you a little stream to wash yourself, and the bathroom sink was clogged. Additionally, all the electrical outlets were weak. Our chargers kept falling out of the socket. What should have been a respite from the hot temps outside, was anything but that. Do not recommend staying here.
We had a really bad experience at this place. We weren't expecting it to be fancy or anything, and we would have been fine if it had just been a basic accommodation. We aren't super picky, and have a lot of experience traveling through Latin America. But we had a really nasty experience at Villa Verde. First of all, the place is NOT CLEAN. There were lots of BUGS crawling around on the floor--enough that I felt I needed to wear my flip flops at all times, even going briefly into the bathroom in the middle of the night. Both the sheets and blankets had BIZARRE STAINS, not just discolorations from bleach, but weird green stuff on the sheets.EEW. It's also worth noting that there was NO DEADBOLT on the main door of our room--just a tiny twist lock on the knob--what you'd expect to see on your bathroom door in a suburban home. Very FLIMSY DOOR. I could have kicked it in myself on the first try with my flip flops on. NO SAFE IN THE ROOM. To top it off, the place is situated basically on top of the highway, and the NOISE level was such that I couldn't sleep, even with earplugs in. They know this is an issue, and they even sell earplugs at the front desk because the noise level is insane. Not just at rush hour. SO MUCH NOISE AT 1 AM, no double paned windows, so the sound is like the window is open. Noise both from the highway, and kids partying in adjacent rooms. Impossible to sleep. The employees tried their best in a difficult situation, and we appreciated them. But OWNER WAS RUDE to my mother, which I found unacceptable. I can't recommend this place to anyone. It was just plain BAD. The pictures look ok online, but it was worse in real life.…
This hotel would be perfect if it had sound proof walls. I was not there during the day, but at night I could hear every single noise from the street. The actual location is good, but it is just too close to the main Avenue. Room was clean, has breakfast, has a pool, a short walk to the beach. The price should be between $60-$80 per night.
