The only thing going for this hotel is the views. We arrived by car, parked outside front door expecting valet parking but they don’t offer this service. We were told we could not park at front and had to move to underground car park, not the easiest of car park entrances to navigate! We had a corner room, the views were incredible however the room was let down by the shabby bathroom and dated furniture. No complimentary water in room, no coffee making facilities, nothing. Breakfast was included, nothing special, no offer to get anything off the menu and the tablecloths were not ironed. We have travelled to 6 different hotels in the last few weeks stopping off at various places and this hotel was the only disappointment, granted it is an old hotel however so were many of the hotels we stayed in which were lovely and staff went the extra mile, here they did not. I’ve attached photos of the bathroom.…
Loved staying there …loved sitting on terrace or round back sipping and watching people and the changing light….. everything was in v good state. Beds v comfy bathrooms excellent balcony views and sunset beautiful. Everything we needed was available nothing was too much trouble to lovely staff. One slight gripe. No coffee/tea in rooms.( we are early risers) Would have rounded it to a 5/5 Fantastic place to stay
We stayed for 2 nights. We had a large room with balcony looking directly out over rhe Bridge . A great spot for some vino and people/Bridge watching . Hotel location also nade exploring easy. Staff were extremely welcoming. Parking available on site. Breakfast available which was of good quality of plentiful Overall we had a great few nights at a great hill with a prime view of the bridge and gorge.
Visiting Ronda and your hotel next to the bridge and old city. Could not be better! Good service, parking possibilities and friendly staff, from reception up to cleaning services. Food and beverage little bit more expensive, but good quality and friendly service.
Pity about this. The location is superb but the hotel disappointing. Admittedly it was being renovated as it needs it - a bit tatty and run down, Breakfast was good but not as good as at other Paradores. Not enough staff! Only there one night which is plenty for a quick visit to Ronda
We stayed one night in a superior room at the end of May 2022. The hotel was experiencing major refurbishment to the reception area and the restaurant, with makeshift facilities. This work is planned to continue through the summer, including some of the bedrooms. It was easy to check in, the staff were courteous and helpful, made easier as I speak Spanish. The room was a decent size and had dual aspect windows being in a corner of the building with superb views of the mountains. The bathroom is functional and in need of some upgrades, shower pressure was not great. The car park is small and we were lucky to get one of the last spaces when we arrived. First come, first serve. We had breakfast only there, which is self service, with additional table taken orders for cooked options. It was good. We had drinks at the bar terrace overlooking the chasm, again, service was good. We did not eat in the restaurant. Frankly, there are so many excellent options in town, just get out and experience them. The pool is small but a refreshing stop after a long day exploring. It’s a good hotel, could be great with little effort.…
When we stayed there was construction going on in the main lobby, but they do not receive a ding for that. We did not have a room with a balcony but we still had a room with a view. Rooms were comfortable, clean, and charming. Centrally located with easy access to the incredible bridge and the old town. Wonderful walking town, tons of history…and The Bullring (which is a museum). Views are out of control.
The rooms at the Ronda Parador are pleasant with amazing views. The restaurant is a disaster. The head waiter for dinner was discourteous to the extent of being rude. For breakfast and dinner the restaurant felt understaffed. The system for breakfast meant that the very few waiters around had to crash around clearing plates and left over food and set up the table for the next intake of customers. It was so much better when we stayed at the hotel 3 years ago. Something has gone badly wrong and it has not been dealt with by the hotel's management
Right next to the gorge and New Bridge, this hotel offers a terrific location with great views. Our duplex room offered a sitting area, a small balcony and a small bathroom downstairs and a bedroom, master bath and larger balcony/patio upstairs. The room was clean, and the furniture was functional, if a little dated. There were some quirks with the layout. The downstairs shower was extremely small. While in the upstairs bath, it was hard to stand under the rain shower head because of the slant of the ceiling. Staff were generally efficient. The desk staff knew all of the details of our booking on our arrival and were helpful in talking to us about the hotel and things to do in town. We ate in the restaurant several times (two breakfasts, a lunch and a dinner) over two days. At lunch and dinner, the wait staff was attentive. The food at dinner was very good with unexpectedly elegant presentations. Breakfast was not as good. Although they purport to give guests the option of getting a cooked dish, wait staff never gave us the opportunity to ask for that. I saw that another table had to flag a waiter down to ask for something off of that menu. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It is a very memorable property and at great location for exploring Ronda. And although it is not a four star hotel, it provided a room with an outstanding view and had staff that was well trained and efficient.…
Stayed for two nights, the hotel staff was generally unfriendly, front desk did not help us with our bags in pouring rain, asked my elderly parents to push the cart up to their room themselves. The restaurant service was the SLOWEST I had seen during my entire trip. The hotel guests were noisy and kept us up until passed midnight. Never again.
