Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We enjoyed two nights at this lovely home set in extensive park like grounds. The bedroom was comfortable with a small ensuite bathroom but we also had access to a larger bathroom, a study and a large lounge/dining room for our exclusive use. There was also a kitchenette with a huge array of breakfast items, cheese and biscuits and lovely home made fruitcake. Brett and Sally were delightful as was their little dog Mollie, who loved to visit occasionally. Hamilton is a wonderful location and their home convenient and easy to find. We loved our stay here and highly recommend it.

If you're touring NZ and need a place to catch your breath then we whole heartedly recommend a couple of nights at Korbaylen Estates. Brett and Sally are the perfect hosts and great fun. The en suite room was immaculate and fully equipped. The location is quiet and ideally located for the incredible Hamilton Botanical Gardens and Waitomo Glowworm Caves.

Wonderful stay at this Bed and breakfast. The tree lined driveway lead us to the house.
Greeted by polite host who was able to accommodate 2 couples.
It had all the comforts of home.
So clean, smelt wonderful.
Fabulous beds, kitchen with coffee, tea, food for breakfast supplying for all tastes. Even Vegemite!!
Huge lounge, house surrounded by gardens, really just the comforts of home.
Great communication by host also.
Highly recommended, thank you Brett and Sally.

The time we spent at Brett and Sally's was really nice. They were very knowledgable and provided us with local information. The bed was very comfortable. As you drive in the house and grounds remind yo of entering a ranch, with the cows and naturally a dog. It was a beautiful setting and well worth the money. I would recommend it to anyone.

A wonderful place for our daughter and her two bridesmaids to get ready at! The house is beautiful with lovely decor, the grounds are well kept, offering fantastic photos both indoor and outdoor.

Sally and Brett were great to deal with, going out of their way to accommodate the girls on this special occasion.

Korbaylen Estate offered everything. It was very private, relaxing and had the best country atmosphere. We all loved our stay!

Totally recommend this place for a holiday, a break away and/or especially for special occasion photos😊

Thank you very much Sally and Brett😊

A very nice & quiet Estate, not far from the city centre. Warm welcoming from Brett. Love the room, it is very nice & clean, very good shower, free 'help your self' breakfast, love the garden ... very lovely place. Worth the money

Not quite what we expected from the description and name "estate" but our room was very nice with beautiful bathroom. The do-it-yourself breakfast was more than adequate. The owners were friendly and helpful with recomendations of things to do and places to eat.

We spent 2 nights at this special place close to Hamilton. They offer beautiful rooms in luxury with a huge private lounge to use. A big flatscreen TV with On-demand channels to watch (we were lucky to see the live rugby game between NZ-Aussi in Wellington :-) The shower in the ensuite is fabulous! The couches in the living are very comfi and for piano players: go ahead! Every room in the house is tastefully decorated and the kitchen with breakfast bar is convenient & complete. DIY breakfast is tasty with a lot of goodies to choose from. The driveway to their property makes you feel like a special guest and the friendly owners Sally & her husband will greet you with a warm welcome. Very recommended! Thanks guys, we will be back!

Not exactly as advertised! We thought we were going to some lovely gardens. Pretty average. It was further out of town than we realised. No plug for the bath. Very hot room with their desk and answer machine in it.And they would only accept cash!

Response from Sally W, Owner at Korbaylen Estate
Responded 19 Feb 2016
Considering we have just won an award for best reviews I think this woman has a very negative attitude. Both guests that stayed the same night awarded us a 10. I went out of my way for this woman but she was still unhappy. You just can't please some people.
