Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fantastic overnight stay for our wedding night. John and Shirley are excellent hosts and made us very welcome, even picking us up from our wedding reception. Breakfast was superb and the grounds of the lodge are beautiful. Definitely recommend!

Hadleigh Boutique Lodge is absolutely wonderful. The accommodation and grounds are divine. The pool was wonderful on a hot day. Hosts, Jon and Shirley are lovely. The made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed their company. Jon dropped us at our restaurant which was great and Shirley made an absolutely scrumptious breakfast. I would without hesitation recommend Hadleigh Boutique Lodge.

The hosts have thought of everything. So spacious and comfortable; so hospitable with drinks and canapés in the evening; so much was complimentary: drinks, fruit, cake etc; lift to restaurant in the evening; personalised menu at breakfast. Very attractive gardens and pool looked very inviting but just too cold when I visited. Close to Hamilton and the Airport. The nicest and most interesting people.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hadleigh Lodge. Our stay was only one night and and found Hadleigh Lodge to be very comfortable and quiet with the added bonus of a beautiful garden. We only booked for one night and should have planned for a longer stay.

We (2 couples) really enjoyed our stay at Hadleigh.....great hosts, comfortable rooms, wonderfully-prepared elegant breakfasts and afternoon nibbles, good conversation...a very pleasant place to stay. After 2 days in Auckland we wanted to get out and see some of the countryside. We knew that we didn't have time enough to go too far south, so we decided on the area near Hamilton and Cambridge to use as a base. On day trips, we explored Rotorua and the Glow Worm caves. We felt that this was a very authentic part of NewZealand and had a great time. What made it even more special was that Jon is a longtime Porsche enthusiast as are the 2 men in the group....so what could be better!?! Jon and Shirley are great conversationalists and we learned a great deal about the area in our short

Having moved from their old location in Christchurch, Jon and Shirley have established a lovely B&B conveniently located just outside Hamilton and Cambridge. Room and ensuite were spacious and immaculately clean, with a guest lounge just next door. Grounds are extensive and loving maintained including a pool, thanks for the guided tour Jon. Plenty of choice for breakfast and well cooked, thanks Shirley. Genial hosts, great conversation and all in all the perfect place to stay if you are in this part of the world.

My wife & I had a two nights very enjoyable stay at Hadleigh. Right from the time we arrived we were made feel like old friends. The presentation of the property, the ambience, the little touches eg. Fresh biscuits, cake, the complimentary room fridge contents etc. were way above any expectation. Listening to Jon & Shirley's lifetime stories were somewhat inspirational. The whole experience was a highlight of our NZ trip. We wish you both, including Holly, the faithful Lab, all the very best.
