Right, I don't know where to start, we were supposed to be spending Christmas with family in London and wanted to take our minds off where we should be. Annie, from first contact, met every single one of our requirements for a family Christmas away from home. The house and garden is so beautiful, stately and homely and Paul, Annie and their charming son Jared could not have been more welcoming, it was better than being one of the family, we felt like honoured guests. We adored the Alpacas and could not believe how close we could get to them, lots of bunnies, a lovely inviting swimming pool, amazing varied breakfasts and even Christmas Dinner and Christmas tea with all the trimmings. Great conversations when wanted but also a lot of privacy if we needed it. Easy trips to Hobbiton, Waitomo, Raglan and the beautiful Hamilton Gardens, close to great restaurants and shops. Any problems solved in an instant, I really feel we made good friends. Out of all the many great hotels in different countries we have stayed in I'll never forget the care, consideration and love we felt at the magical cherry tree manor.

Just outside Hamilton. Everything was splendid. Our host Annie gave welcome and given access to house at any hour. Our dog was treated as a friend. Our room looked out over an orchard and swimming pool. Guests are welcome to sit in large lounge. Breakfast was a treat with bacon and eggs-and selection of breads. Annie joined us and we were told about the house history and its beautiful cherry blossom. Met and fed the Llamas making a memorable visit. Thank you Annie.

Beautiful grounds, so lovingly thought out. Well designed and so pretty! Made extra special by face painting, crafts and balloon modelling. The dancing was fantastic and hosts Anne and Paul so friendly along with a great team who made the day special

Our room was a bit on the small side with only one small space for a case that could be opened up for more storage, it did have two big windows tho that looked out over the gardens. Our hosts were welcoming and pleasant and the house is very nice. You have breakfast with the hosts and any other guests in the morning that we were not aware off, it’s served on the table in covered glass dishes that you help your self too, it was ok. We met and fed the Alpacas that come running over when you rattle the food container that was quite nice they have the softest lips and are very careful eating from your hand. The Garden is quite nice I had binoculars in my case and some of the birds there were lovely. The plants and shrubs on the drive way to the house could do with cutting back as our hire car’s sensors were constantly on when driving up.
Would benefit from private breakfast room.

Delightfully refreshing to stay in the peaceful surrounds of a garden for all seasons. It is not manicured, it is like home, natural and inviting. Spacious, light and airy rooms overlooking the garden and pool. I have traveled extensively and it is rare to find hosts like Paul & Annie who also join you for breakfast and a chat. The spacious living areas, veranda for shade on a hot day or for a drink in the cool of the evening are part of a very enjoyable experience. Simply lovely !

We went as a group for one nights get away. This lovely old house surrounded in beautiful gardens was perfect. Proprietors were very welcoming and gave us a guided tour of the garden. Tranquil and relaxing yet close to Hamilton and short drive to shops. Awesome pool. Lovely breakfast and comfortable facilities.

We planned our trip to the NZ North Island to indulge ourselves, and that included special accomodation (not just normal hotels). Our daughter picked the English Cherry Tree manor, and I have to say it exceeded our expectations. The first sight was a sign of things to come - just turning into the driveway was an indication of that. The manor was a beautiful period piece, and we enjoyed the stay. Apart from the house, just wandering through the gardens was amazing - an incredible job in creating that all. and as a bonus - we could feed the alpacas! This was a bit out of the way - but well worth the visit, and we were definitely made to feel at home - Anne is a great hostess, with an interesting story herself.

I had a wonderful day in English Cherry Tree Manor. Hostess Annie prepared me a very beautiful and delicate Traditional English High Tea! After the High Tea, Host Paul showed us their great and large garden which was built up little by little for 23 years!
Highly highly recommend English Cherry Tree Manor and you will see many precious plants in the large garden which you might not find in many places!
They do provide exquisite accommodation B & B with each bedroom decorated by different window ---- garden view plus seperate bathroom and should have a try!

The drive way would look beautiful when in flower. Could do with a gardener to go and tidy up a lot of the over grown plants. The area for afternoon tea under a gazebo could do with a good sweep, not that appealing. Nice swimming pool for the summer. Very average high tea, very average service, very average setting. Not best value for money
