Detailed Reviews
Starting with cost, this place does not come cheap so you have to know that coming in. That said, if you can afford this location it is certainly worth it. The views are the best on the island, the breakfast is first rate, the service is flawless, and not a single need or want is left unmet. Once you check in the whole hotel goes above and beyond to do everything within their power to give you the perfect experience. Don't have a dinner reservation? Don't worry about it, they will make you a reservation wherever you want and based on their reputation, have ways of getting you a spot at restaurants that are already full. To put it another way, everyone on the island who found out we were at the Delamore Lodge raved about it and told us how fortunate we were. It is simply the best. Worth every penny.

We spend a wonderful 2 days at this amazing place. It is simply paradise in all respects - views, room, property, food, staff and facilities. From our arrival right through to our departure the experience was second to none. Being July, we made use of the spa and sauna which relaxed us into our weekend away but we did not use the swimming pool given the time of the year. The staff were beyond wonderful, somehow always there but not intrusive in any way. The room was comfortable and spacious, and we enjoyed a platter while looking out on the view. There are several walks in and around Waiheke from the property and we found 2 during our stay, I would highly recommend the walks, there is information in the room to assist in this. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of choice from fruit through to eggs (more than enough), good strong coffee, and did I mention the view! We indulged in a massage which I would also recommend organising with your stay. On our final night we had the degustation dinner which had amazing flavours and the portion sizes were sensible for the number of courses. The open plan kitchen gives it a more intimate feel which was lovely, They also have a good selection of wines both for pre-dinner drinks and also with dinner. We were sorry to have to leave, but it left us feeling like we had been away for longer than 2 days. We will definitely be back, and highly recommend the indulgence of staying in this slice of paradise on Waiheke Island.

Delamore Lodge is a beautiful Italian inspired luxury property with four guest suites and two-bedroom apartments.
The lodge is located on Waiheke island, 35 mins ferry ride from Auckland ferry terminal. You can relax in the deep jacuzzi, or sauna or hire e-bikes to get you around. The surrounding area has some fine dining options as well as great winery called Mudbrick for tastings.
Delamore Lodge offers a fine dining degustation dinner with 6 courses, which was amazing! Such a spectacular private place to relax, unwind, enjoy the evening canapes and drinks while enjoying the view out to the bay. Perfection!

We had a great long weekend in mid January and sorry haven’t had time to rave earlier. Due to flight delays from Australia we didn’t arrive until 7pm but were on and wine and food package and the first night had a wondrous dinner prepared by Grace. Still thinking about the sublime flavours of the scallop soup. Breakfast delicious and the addition of a cooked breakfast wasn’t needed after such a feast.
Lovely pool temperature. Enjoyed the jacuzzi and the room decor and views were delightful. We hope to return. All the staff were lovely to deal with

This place is everything I didn’t know I was missing in a vacation experience. First of all the hospitality is exceptional- even before you arrive, but especially during your stay. The friendliness of the staff and their desire to make sure you experience the best of Waiheke allows you to feel just how special it is to be here. The views from the Lodge are unbelievable…any time of day or night, it’s unreal. The Lodge will arrange excursions on the island and even transport you if they are able.
And now the food…what a unique and special experience they offer! There is a chef in the kitchen all day preparing amazing meals that are strongly local and sustainable, and the kitchen is a part of the dining room so the connection to food and home and community feels so healthy and good. The cocktail hour with canapés is a nice touch whether your eating at the lodge or offsite.
Along with the superior food and hospitality, our stay here gave us a unique way to experience the inherent New Zealand pride in its land, it’s people, and food in a way that we have never experienced before in a resort/hotel setting like this. We are already talking about returning. Thanks Delamore for everything you do to make these times special!

We took two days to celebrate a special birthday. We could not have chosen a better location to relax, get spoilt and enjoy exellent food and comforts.
The staff are hard to fault. Friendly, informative, eager to make your stay memorable and approachable. Nothing is too much of a problem. The accomodation is comfortable, spacious, clean and the view beautiful. In adverse weather we loved the large and attractive spa and sauna area. The breakfasts are fresh, tasty and generous and the chefs choices were top quality and decadent at dinner.
We would highly recommend Delamore and plan to return in the near future.

Our cruise holidays in ruins due the Corona virus, we decided to try to recoup our vacation. Booked at Delamore Lodge, OMG what a great choice we made. The lodge is beyond beautiful with extraordinary views, excellent food and the owner is warm and so accommodating. Lots to do despite the slowing down of tourism on Waiheke. If you are stuck in NZ or can’t go away on holidays, this’d is the place to come!!!

My husband and I stayed at Delamore Lodge last weekend - it was absolutely fabulous, one of the best boutique hotels we have stayed in! Even before we arrived, the staff (particularly Adam and Nehan) were incredibly helpful in answering various questions about our stay and transport around the island. When we arrived it was like walking into a little corner of Paradise - our room was gorgeous and very private and the views absolutely stunning. The Lodge itself is very stylish with a lovely infinity pool and beautiful tropical gardens. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, in particular, Nehan and Cendré (apologies if I have misspelt the name) and gave us such personal service. We had the three course menu one evening, which was delicious. Unfortunately the Lodge was not able to accommodate us on our second evening, but again Nehan was very helpful in sending us recommendations for other restaurants close by and making the booking for us. Even though we were not eating there, we were given a delicious charcuterie board with our complimentary evening drinks.
We cannot recommend Delamore Lodge highly enough - it is a very special place.

We had a wonderful time at the Delamore Lodge. Steph, Georgie, Lindy, and the rest of the staff were all very hospitable, friendly, and helpful. They made it very easy for us to dine at different places and explore the island. We were very lucky to have our room upgraded to an incredible 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite with a large living room and kitchen! The views from the lodge were spectacular and the pool was very relaxing. We wish we could have stayed for more time. Should we be fortunate enough to get back to New Zealand we would definitely stay here again.
