Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Wild Thyme Studios and Waiheke Island in general, was a relaxing and rejuvenating time for us. It was perfect start of our New Zealand adventure. Bruce and Jules were very welcoming, and offered very useful tips for getting around the island (hidden paths) and suggestions on where to eat.

We enjoy walking and thus used this location to our advantage. We easily walked to town, the beach, and even a vineyard! We availed ourselves of public transportation to reach further sites on the island.

Our studio was quiet, clean, and had just the right amenities (table and chairs, refrigerator, beautiful bathroom, outdoor clothes lines, outdoor private seating area overlooking the gulf, grill, tea and coffee, cooking utensils, plates, cups, cutlery, etc.

At the end of our stay, Bruce offered a lift to the ferry - which allowed us to squeeze more time into our visit.

We very much hope to return someday!

We had a three night stay and loved it, room was clean, good views and well equipped. Bruce is a smashing bloke very helpful and friendly. The place is close to Oneroa beaches and a great mobile pizza van at the bottom of the hill. Great island for food, wine and beaches, a perfect stay.

We were very lucky to visit Wild Thyme at the end of our three week trip in NZ.
It was by far the best place we stayed in our entire trip! Location was great, the accommodation itself was finished to a very high standard and the views were breathtaking. Bruce and Jules were fantastic hosts; warm, welcoming and had lots of great tips on making the most of a few day’s on the island. Couldn’t recommend this place enough, we can’t wait to return one day.

We stayed at Wild Thyme for our first 2 nights after arriving on a long flight from the UK and we couldn’t have chosen better. Bruce and Jules our hosts were friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to help us. Bruce collected us from the ferry when we arrived and took us back at the end of out stay. He pointed out restaurants and bike hire places and recommended things for us to do.

The room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and had lots of extra touches in the fridge including a bottle of fizz. The views were wonderful from the balcony.

The island is beautiful and has a lovely friendly vibe. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, wineries and shops. We are even considering going back for a few months at some point.

Thank you Bruce and Jules for a lovely stay that recharged our batteries after a long journey. We loved our stay with you. We hope to see you again!

Don’t think twice about booking a stay at Wild Thyme! Fabulous hosts Bruce and Jules made our stay in Waiheke 2 unforgettable days. Brilliant accommodations, wonderful sea views and great hosts! They even picked us up and took us back to the ferry as well as drove us to Mudbrick winery for dinner. Can’t say enough about our stay and my husband and I are well seasoned travelers. Don’t think, just book!!

The best place to stay on Waiheke. Bruce and Jules are epic hosts, literally a home from home. All the little touches you could ask for and more. If you're looking for a beautiful place to explore the island; this is a must. Great communication, cozy home and both go out of their way to cater to all your needs. Thank you both for a wonderful Christmas.
