I was a local to the Liverpool area for 20yrs and always thought Hunts had a good reputation, so didn't hesitate to book there when I was back in Liverpool for a visit. Unfortunately my expectations were far from met. My family stayed in a 2-bed townhouse, which was a good size for 2A + 2K, but the state of it was awful. Maintenance and cleaning definitely need some attention here. The toilet sliding door was sitting on the ground (had come off the roller track) so my kids couldn't open or close it themselves. The grout in the toilet and bathrooms was very grotty, and the tiled floor downstairs was also dirty. We had to keep our shoes on indoors so our feet/socks didn't turn black. The couch was so stained and crusty, we had to put a blanket over it before we sat. My husband mentioned the poor conditions upon checkout, but the staff didn't seem to care. Thankfully the bed linen and towels were clean, and we did have a comfortable night's sleep. It was raining during our stay, so we also appreciated the carport in front of our room.

I have stayed with you several times before. I was disappointed and ready to not recommend or come back to stay again. There was food and dirt in the kitchen floor and toilet floor. There was no cupboard doors in the kitchen. The couch looked stained and there were crumbs on it so we asked for a bed sheet to be put over it just so we could sit on it. The wifi wouldn’t come up to choose and the air conditioner in one of the bedrooms wouldn’t cool. I have recommended this accomodation to others in the past but I feel I can’t now. Unit 604.

Good amenities in a convenient location for a basketball comp at Minto. Staff were friendly and helpful and accommodated the needs of our group well. Hopefully the dining room and bar will be back up and operating in the near future when the hotel recruits some replacement staff for those lost during the Covid shutdown.
Conveniently located across the road from a major hotel and dining venue we were able to source good meals on both nights.
Rooms were clean and tidy.

One of the receptionist lady was rude. The room we had 312 was not good at all. The door doesn’t lock properly, my sister didn’t have a key and still managed to get into our room. For the amount of people we had listed we were only given 1 shampoo & conditioner. There were no toothpaste, no kitchen or anything much rather than a fridge and didn’t provide any water. For the price we paid it was not worth it and wouldn’t recommend going there. The one thing I loved about hunts hotel were the housekeeping ladies, they’re always so sweet when we’re there. Not a convenient place to stay, esp for a family.

Parts of the unit was dusting as and the aircon wasn’t working due to the amount of money you pay you should get what you pay for. Was told it will be fixed by the time I got back from my day being a hot day and it wasn’t day at all. So I was unhappy with that.

The room smelled of cigarette smoke, the power outlet next to the bed didn’t work, was loose, and poses a potential electrical hazard. The air vent in the bathroom was filthy (see photo). There was also a half consumed coke can left in the fridge from a previous guest. I travel around the country for work, and this was the grubbiest and dodgiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Very disappointing.

I've stayed at Hunts many times over the last decade, as it was a convenient location for our Sydney trips. It's never been a flashy place (the 4-star rating has always been a stretch). We know to expect a bed and reasonably clean sheets -- after all, that's all you're paying for! However, on our most recent stay (Jan 2024), we were shocked at how dilapidated and dirty the place has become. There was dirt on the bed linen, holes in the carpet, chips in the tiles and drawing on the walls. The shower was not sealed correctly, so water flooded the bathroom floor whenever anyone had a shower. Worse still, of the 4 air conditioners in our 'apartment', only one worked. We had a hot, restless night in filthy conditions. Do yourself a favour. Stay elsewhere. Your bank account and sanity will thank you.

Absolutely would not recommend - it was dirty, the air conditioner dripped onto my daughters bed soaking the sheets, old cigarette butts under the beds, when I was putting my daughter to bed a cockroach ran over my toes. The washing machine didn't work in the room and I was terrified to sleep in the bed. If you have an option, stay somewhere else.

Don’t go here! It was old, very dirty and not maintained. We didn’t have enough hot water for all 4 of us to have a shower. One night (out of 3) we HAD ABSOLUTELY NO HOT WATER for showers and reception offered no solution nor compensation. Even worse than that the water pipes contract every time a room uses a tap or shower. IT IS LOUD. The walls are thin. Noise is a big problem for this building.

Couldn’t use tv remote as it didn’t match tv
Please do not stay here. It’s such a shame that management has not looked after their property. This use to be an alright place to stay. It is in a great location. But we will never go back.

The staff at check in were nice, and there was adequate parking. Good pub over the road for dinner. However our room was very run down, with paint chipping off the roof, wallpaper peeling off, the curtains were mouldy and very dirty. The room was also quite smelly.
