Let me begin this review by saying that I am a very seasoned traveler in the luxury hospitality world, I have traveled to over 65 countries and don’t normally post reviews. This resort deserves a review.
We stayed at the Ritz Carlton for 4 days in July of 2021 only 3 weeks after this property opened and everything was top notch and fantastic. The food is incredible, now that I am back home, I still dream about the beautifully prepared eggs a la Francois prepared by their Italian chef Francois. The presentation, attention to listen and hear what I want for breakfast every day was 10/10.
The service at the resort is so customize and every one of your wishes is filled with accuracy and grace. Our butler was great, WhatsApp Communication during the day and evening is very easy.
The food at the mail pool area is stunningly prepared and the menu is so exquisite. Don’t want the sushi on the menu? No problem. Chef Jamil will create a state of art sushi board for you. Delicious! One of the highlights of my stay. The drinks are delicious and beautiful too. Incredible wine and cocktail list.
The villas are spacious and modern. The housekeeping team came in several times a day and our room always felt cool, refreshed, neat, and looked after.
The General Manager comes by time to time to check on guests to ensure all is well, they strive for the best and it shows!
The Cantonese restaurant on the property is a true fine dining experience that you don’t expect in the Maldives. Delicious chef dinner.
The spa is worth a visit! The design is nothing I have seen before. I had a facial which was incredible and very relaxing. My skin glowed for days! My husband had a massage and said it was a 10/10!
The Beach Shack it’s perfectly located just steps away from the ocean and caters to all of your dietary needs. Even the kids menu on there is delicious! Want to eat from the pool menu while on the beach? No problem, they will customize your lunch for you. Chef Jamil brought us a stunning sushi presentation to the beach and it was a big hit!
The beach is very well looked after with very comfortable chairs and tables and lots of staff to cater to you.
After staying there for 4 days, we moved to a different resort to have a different experience and every minute of the time at the different resort I dreamt about being back at the Ritz. I have already booked my return stay for June 2022. This property is exquisite!

Wow. Just wow. This place is amazing! I wish we had stayed longer. The staff makes this resort a place you will never want to leave. The covid precautions are great I was impressed to see the sanitizer, masks and tools in my room and they looks so elegant. The people here are great, the general vibe is great. Shout out to Azlan and Angeli housekeeping who kept our villa immaculately clean and fresh, their attention to detail was excellent! My child enjoyed all the facilities he was so touched by the amazing people around and kids facilities you have he would never wanted to leave this place. Thank you for the amazing farewell gift for my family given by your Executive Housekeeper Shiyax personalized with a beautiful handwriting although I did not meet him in person. Usham my Aris meeha is always smiling, Shinan for bringing us many floor mats as it was raining heavily he spread them all to block water coming in. We felt like we were at home during the entire length of our stay. It became like family. So warm and classy. They are so friendly which made our trip even more unforgettable! Thank you for making our vacation one to remember! We will of course come back with great pleasure to the Ritz Carlton resort next time. This was our first trip to the Maldives and we are so happy we chose the Ritz Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands for our first visit to this incredible destination. Overall, the Ritz is a stunning resort with some of the best service we’ve experienced in all our luxury 5-star international travels. If the Ritz Maldives is on your consideration list, don’t second guess, just go and you will not be disappointed!
We stayed in a Lagoon Sunset villa (#321) and absolutely loved it. Because our villa was at the end of the Lagoon Quay we could also enjoy a partial ocean view. The location of this particular villa offered the best of both worlds…the quiet calm of the Lagoon for excellent swimming conditions as well as beautiful ocean views on the horizon.
The brilliant design of the villas allowed us to safely get in/out of the surrounding water with ease and inspired us to swim near our villa every single day of our 10-day stay.
We loved having bicycles as a villa amenity and we used them as our only/exclusive transportation to all the restaurants, the spa, the beach club, etc.
Hands down, our in-villa attendants were the BEST we have ever experienced at any luxury hotel in our lifetimes. Ahusan & Ilm kept our room spotless. Whenever we returned to our room everything was in its place and all our bottled water, snacks, fruit, etc. were magically refilled. They treated us like royalty, and we will never forget all the small (and big) things Ahusan & Ilm did to make us feel very special during our stay.
The breakfast buffet at La Locanda was the perfect start to each day. Great ambiance. And an abundance of breakfast food choices including Western, Maldivian and Arabic options.
We enjoyed all the restaurants in the resort. You cannot go wrong with any of them. Be sure not to miss the Maldivian Nights buffet!
A big shout out to our fabulous hostesses Jessica, Aika, Anne and Giovana.

Ritz Carlton, Maldives..one of the best getaway destinations I have ever come across..and during these pandemic times...a heavenly abode,where we can get to breathe fresh pure air, swim in the purest of waters, be mask-free and enjoy nature to its fullest. The Ritz, a new property at Maldives, has been constructed with a lot of thought and dedication.. paying attention to the tiniest needs of the guest. Exceptional architectural design..be it woodworkor lighting or even flooring . The private beach villa is out of the world and so is the ocean view villa..both are to be experienced to believe. The private pools are very well designed and maintenance of the entire property is of the highest order. Our special thanks to the General Manager Mark,for overlooking our entire stay, Sales Manager, Nabeel.. for taking good care of us and ofcourse Our Aris Meeha, Dima, for personally being there for us all all times, escorting and guiding us every minute. A special shoutout to Muthu..the Chef..who made sure we didn't miss our home food.
Jinan , who took good care of our needs at La Laconda everyday . The Eau Bar.. with its breathtaking view is an excellent place to spend the evening watching the sun set. The Summer Pavilion..offers one of the finest Chinese Cuisine ever. An Afternoon at the Beach Shack watching the waves ..with customized lunch is a day well spent. The ride to The Patina Island and lunch at Galleria..is unforgettable. The chef prepared exceptionally tasty Lebanese food taking utmost care of our preferences.

We went on our honeymoon at Ritz-Carlton Maldives the first week of November for 5 nights. The weather was beautiful, it did rain for a short period for two of the days but it did not last very long. We stayed at the ocean pool villa on the sunrise side meaning we would see the beautiful sunrise every morning and the sun will be on our side until the early afternoon. It is definitely a million dollar view. The villa is very modern and just recently opened in 2021.
Our stay was wonderful because of the amazing staff. Our Aris Meeha was Ushaam. Ushaam was always quick to respond to my messages and ensured all my requests were fulfilled even on short notice. He was very kind, polite with a great sense of humor and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay. He gave us a great tour of island and gave great input and advice whenever we had questions about food or activities. Ushaam would check in daily to ensure our days were filled with activities and food. Thank you again for everything! If we come back again, we will definitely personally request you!
Our villa attendants Haisham & Emoo were also amazing. When it rained and we were heading back to the villa, we were surprised with a warm bubble bath with rose petals and a bottle of wine to enjoy in the tub. They also made it easy for housekeeping as we would just send a message when we were heading out so they know when it was convenient to come clean our room. The attention to detail was noticed - even my phone chargers were neatly organized. Haisham & Emoo also checked in with us around 8pm every night to ensure we had everything we needed for the night. All the staff at the restaurants knew it was our honeymoon and provided free drinks and desserts.
As we were Marriott Bonvoy members, we did get discount with some of the restaurants and also 15 minutes additional for our massage. Previously in other reviews it mentioned there was daily complimentary tea for Bonvoy members but they have seem to have taken that away now. Overall, the experience was truly magical and we felt we were in paradise. It was very difficult to leave and we will be back again one day!

We traveled to the Maldives in March with our two young children (ages 18 months and 4). Originally we had booked six nights at the St. Regis and one night at the Sheraton prior to our departure. Due to the hotel being sold out, we were given a different room type than was booked, so we decided to transfer to the Ritz Carlton after the first night. Best decision we have ever made. Yes, the St. Regis has more growth on the island and some of the architecture (Whale Bar) is stunning, but the Ritz Carlton beats the St. Regis on service, food, and facilities hands down. If you want a very intimate environment with lots of time spent in your room or at the spa, stay at the St. Regis for a more authentic Maldivian experience, but if you want more activities, amenities, restaurant choices, and availability of excursions, choose the Ritz. We checked in with very little notice making the decision that day to switch. Upon arrival we were taken to our room where the staff had all the amenities for each member of our family in our sizes. I'm sure I'm giving too much credit to the hotel on this one as our shoe and clothing size is likely standard - but wow to have slippers, flip flops, robes, hats, sunglasses, etc. in a toddler size 2 and 4 and our adult sizes not too big or too small was a welcome surprise. The welcome amenity was also catered to the children - toddler friendly snacks and toys. They even had a bike with training wheels for our four year old and a bike with a baby seat for our 18 month old so we could cycle around the islands. The attention to the smallest details was amazing. Housekeeping took notice of what we used and left extra amounts and removed what we didn't. Same with hospitality, they brought only the fruits and treats that we consumed and removed the rest for the daily refresh. Truly a prime example of unspoken hospitality.

The Ritz Carlton Maldives is a super-luxurious resort located on a reclaimed set of islands in the Maldives, offering stunning views of the crystal-clear waters and a pristine white sand beach. The resort features a wide range of dining options and a circular pool, providing the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We also stayed at The Nautilus, which was beautiful, but we preferred the Ritz because there was more to do, more dinning options, more activities, and better located.
In the evenings, the resort conducts a sunset ritual with local drums and a flaming ring, creating a memorable backdrop.
Our butler, Nabeel, went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable, providing 24/7 availability and arranging activities and dining reservations. He provided his WhatsApp #, replies immediately, and even had tuna which we caught cut up to sashimi and delivered to our room.
We also did many activities including jet skiing to a sand bar, scuba diving, and fishing on a catamaran with water activity host, Ali. Ali was a great host teaching us to scuba and taking us on a wonderful day out on the water.
The resort also features a well-equipped gym, sauna, steam room, and spa which we used to unwind and rejuvenate before our flight.
We had an unforgettable experience and highly recommend the Ritz Carlton Maldives for a luxurious vacation. We will certainly return!

This resort makes one understand the difference between one of the best and the best .Yes indeed this is the best !!
It all starts at the Male airport where Lana , Farish and Yassin and a few others to receive you at the airport and then whisk you away in their private boat to the Ritz Carlton.
Alessandro along with our Arees Meeha (butler) Eddie met us at the jetty and quickly took us on an orientation trip of both the villa and the resort .
The Villa is simply stunning and has all the works including each time one enters the villa and if the blinds are not drawn the shears open automatically to view the fabulous views of the ocean and the lagoon .This villa is absolutely stunning and huge .The beds and the amenities including the slippers are totally of the highest quality .This is one villa which we just did not want to leave to go anywhere .
Eddie was very good with attending to all
Our needs like bookings etc in the resort .
The breakfast is really nice and the servers there specially Samu and Sally were really nice and went that extra mile .
Paola during the afternoon tea made the best Cappuccinos and as on the first day my wife commented how good were the amerantos, he made it a point to make a small gift wrapped packet to take home , well I know this is the Ritz but still let me tell you it is people like Paola who make the Ritz into what a strong brand it has become .
The Restaurants are really nice and for us the Summer Pavilion stood out and we went there twice for dinner and we were very well
Served by our server Grace , she made us a really yummy mango pudding which tasted even better as the plate had inscribed on it in Sugar , See you soon .
Venessa at the Lebanese restaurant was nice too but must admit here the menu had more indian than Lebanese delicacies.
The Italian restaurant could do better with its pasta dishes and we pointed this out to the Chef and he was all set to understand and make amends but then we did not have the time to go the second time .
Now something about our room
Attendants , Irshad and Areesh , both were excellent in keeping the villa clean and well stocked at all
times , they were so sweet that on the last day they came to say goodbye along with a gift for my wife , well it is the Ritz so they really pamper their guests .
In my opinion Eddie was a superb contact point and was extremely efficient in performing his duties and very kind and caring too .
Well what more can I say than all
the above for this fantastic resort.
One thing more the food at the restaurants is not priced over the top , infact for such a good and upscale resort I can say reasonably priced at the same time the taste was really good.
Yes go for it , do splurge that little bit more to stay here , well
I am still in a trance after coming back from the resort .

I simply cannot recommend this property enough.. It is up there in my Top 3 for Maldives.. The rooms are so spacious and comfortable.. They have paid attention to the smallest of details... All the bedsheets and linen are from Frette.. every room has its own private pool which is good size.. and from your villa itself you can easily swim out to the nearby reef where there is live coral , sting rays, coloured fishes and if you are lucky you may spot even a baby shark! Our snorkel experience was just amazing.. The ocean and the beach are fabulous.. there is no sea weed problem.. its a really clean ocean with white sand and turquoise blue waters.. They even have a stunning main pool which is their highlight.. their spa is an architectural delight and the massages were the some of the best I have had.. the therapists are really well trained.. It is a property which is apt for all ages .. One of the best advantages of this property is that they are just a 5 minute boat ride away from Fari Marine village which again has more shops and restaurants.. so you are not just restricted to your island..

This was an amazing experience at the Ritz Carlton Fari Islands. Our friends and I were celebrating friendship day and my birthday. The resort went all out to ensure we had an amazing time celebrating it. My significant other is an Ambassador status for Marriott, which is why we picked this resort to begin with.
Our aris meeha, Ushaam, had exceptional attention to detail and made sure that our experience was top-notch every day including several surprise and delight moments. The beverage team, led by Marco and Avadh, went above and beyond creating a custom tasting menu on the birthday to celebrate.
The food was all-around exceptional especially Arabesque, which requires a 10-minute boat ferry to get to. Chef Jameel went above and beyond creating an amazing sushi tasting menu.
The spa services at hotels are usually overpriced and lacking quality. That is not the case here. My significant other spent multiple days in the spa and rated it one of the top spas she has experienced globally.
This resort is on the pricier side, especially due to the costs to import everything to the island. This is not a resort that should be done on a heavy budget. Everything is priced in USD.
One area that I would recommend improving is the airport transfer. It is on the higher side compared to other resorts and does not scale down with costs regardless if you have 1 person or 4.

We’ve met a pregnant lady on return and she was looking fine athough the return way was a bit wavy. The way takes about 40 mins with some basic refreshment on board - coffe, water.
No mosquitos met at all stay
Yes, you’ll most probably need to return tu Male as I suppose most resorts organize pick-ups there
