This is our 2nd stay at Patina. It was even better than last year. The team are fabulous nothing is to much trouble for them . The rooms are so nice. Comfy bed and comfy pillows. The best bit for me though is the outdoor shower such a dream. You have your own amazing pool. The architecture is out of this world, it’s what drew us to Patina in the first place. The food was fabulous so many choices to choose from. Favourite being the wok society and the Italian . Ruby who served us at breakfast and in the wok society is a little gem. We had a fantastic Essentialist Junaid who looked after all our needs. Just a WhatsApp away so easy . Fazleen who serviced our room twice a day. Always so helpful and did some beautiful decorations on the bed cut out of leaves . Thank you Fazleen .
The spa is out of this world and so are the treatments. Such a zen place. I had energy healing with Franz. It was out of this world . It’s painful but it’s worth the benefits at the end. I feel so much lighter and look at thinks differently now. He’s also one of the nicest people I’ve met. So kind and caring.
I also did yoga most mornings with Beatrice who is one of the best yoga teacher I’ve had. Beatrice and Franz defiantly made my stay at Patina so special.
I also met Monica whose is the spa coordinator for the whole of the hotel group including Capella and what a great job she’s doing. She’s also welcoming ,lovely and so helpful. I would like to thank all the team for making our stay so very memorable .
I only have one negative that’s the boats coming in and out the lagoon. We stayed the lagoon side which is the best as it’s less windy but you do hear and see the boats coming in and out. It would be so much more peaceful if this was placed somewhere else. I don’t think I’ve been the first person to mention this.

Patina hotel is by far the most amazing hotel i have visited so far. amazing services amazing staff. It really exceeded my expectations. I was greeted with a staff member at the airport who showed me the way to the speedboat. It was a private speedboat with an indoor air conditioned seating area. It was comfy and big. I couldn’t ask for more. And then the staff greeted us at the islands and assigned Mr.Saad who was my essentialist during the stay which was by far best service ever. An essentialist is basically a person who is assigned to help you out during the stay with whatever you need like booking activities , dinners, spa and whatever that you need. Mr.Saad did an amazing job helping us in whatever we wanted we really asked for so many stuff and he was up to the task which was definitely impressive. the hotel also celebrated my honeymoon by decorating the rooms and surprise us each day with sweets and cake. also they have celebrated my birthday. It was such a wonderful experience that no one would ever regret trying. food there is great. They have many restaurants. If you take HB. Then you’ll get 100$ Where you can spend it every day at any of their restaurants. For me fari beach club restaurants was the best out of them all. Thank you for making it an experience i would never forget. and thank you saad for your amazing service even after i left, you didn’t forget to share with me what i asked for.

Amazing experience. The staff is amazing, from multiple nationalities working all together in harmony, the general manager is always present and helpful, the chefs are always touring the place to supervise. The place is impeccably maintained, even the sand paths leading to the rooms are constantly watered and perfectly maintained.
There are plenty of options for lunch and dinner, starting with the restaurant at the beach, the food trucks, and the upscale restaurants, our personal favorite was wok society (Asian food) the chef was amazing, he came to greet us after each dinner and even offered to make us something special. Brasa (steakhouse) offers amazing meat, great quality, and perfectly prepared, ordered some dry aged meat and it was like eating it at one of the best steakhouses in the world. I could not go to farine because they only open on thursdays so I encourage you to prepare ahead and reserve. Fari Beach chef has two Michelin stars and there is even an Arabic restaurant beautifully decorated.
They also have a men and women boutique with great clothes and watches.
The spa is something out of this world, the therapists are imported from Bali and you get the high quality treatment offered there. Amazing massage with breathtaking architectural design in the spa. Only downside here was the gym, didn’t know it could only host 4 persons per hour so I wasn’t able to go to the gym because of that.
We had the chance to spend New Year’s Eve here and it was the best buffet I’ve ever been to in my life, serving lobsters, caviar, fresh oysters, Peking duck crepes, everything you could imagine was there, plus the show was incredible, the music amazing and the service perfect.
We stayed at four sunset water villas, sunsets were breathtaking, you cannot jump to the water directly from your villa because the water level is not that high but to be honest didn’t affect anything in our plans, you could still take the stairs and get into the water where we went snorkeling and enjoyed it.
I could say plenty more things from our experience, but to summarize it, it was amazing, would definitely come back and we are sad to leave.

I'm so glad to read that Wok Society was your favorite, that BRASA ranks amongst the best "steaks" that you've ever enjoyed... that you loved meals at the Fari Beach Club by Nick Bril** and that Arabesque offered both a beautiful setting and meal experience... The food scene in Mexico itself is not too bad either :) so it's really lovely to get this from you. At FLOW our Spa we seek to offer personalized and quality based treatments that allow for the possible impact in a beautiful space. I'll share your feedback with the team there, I'm sure that they'll be super happy. NYE is a very special time of the year so we spared no effort or penny to bring it to life. Everything about this place was incredible, from the speedboat ride from the airport terminal to the resort, to the arrival and warm welcome, the stay, service, food, art, retail and island environment. Having not travelled for over a year, this was our first destination of choice having read about this new resort online. We were certainly not disappointed.
The GM, Marco, is the most attentive and professional GM i've ever met and knows how to read his guests very well. The same goes for the rest of the staff on the island. If you want to be engaged, they are there. If you want to be left alone, they give you space.
All the food offerings on the island are amazing and you can tell that they use top-quality produce. The breakfast spread is SO good and was something we looked forward to every day. The rooms are very well spec'd and I was also stoked to discover the softest Frette sheets in our room.
Uniquely, Patina is part of the Fari Islands (which also includes the Ritz Carlton next door) and has a vibrant village area; guests can visit retail spaces, an art gallery and other F&B venues, even though they may not be residents at the resort. This is a really great new concept as usually people are just trapped on their respective resorts for the duration of their stay.
One of the highlights for us was the art content; the James Turrell piece and other artworks scattered across the island and villas, added another layer of discovery and intrigue. Can't wait to head back and thank you to the Patina team for a memorable stay!

It allowed us to think through the details and to develop them into a beautiful collection of designs, items, services and sustainable experiences. So this trip was nothing like I have ever experienced. To start with Patina is a brand new stunning resort filled with art, great food and drinks, amazing villas and superb service completed with unexpected beautiful experiences.
it is truly beautiful .. nature wise, architecturally, the way it feels…. The island has a super relaxed vibe while offering true luxurious experience. And everything around you is beautiful. Believe me, it does not get old, it is just so pleasant. It is hard to imagine the island was created only a couple of years ago. What also makes it that much more special is to see how much everybody cares about the place and the environment. Each detail is so well thought through… if you are into it, you ll have the time of your life.
The food and drinks they serve in Patina can compete with best restaurants in New York, London, HK… And there is huge variety (even its own plan based restaurant). I have to say even suck simple things as bread (with brown butter) blew me away…. You could have an exquisite meal every single day you are there. Please trust the staff on that. They are those people who are obsessed with what they do.
Art… the island is basically an open air gallery with pieces of Korean art, James Turrell piece….
Service was impeccable …. Actually more than that. It felt so personal and special. I literally felt I will miss the people from Patina…. It all starts from the moment you land in Male and being greeted by the staff at the airport to, incredible welcome at the island, to every detail they think of, to the last minute when you are basically boarding your plane back.
Experiences… that was one of my favourite parts. From one of the best massages I have ever had to floating in a capsule, to seeing the sunset from the Yacht that came directly from James Bond movie (google Adastra) to having an unforgettable lunch on a sand bank in the middle of the ocean (atol). Also, Patina has a beach club in the middle of a little village (not like anything else in the Maldives) where please can visit from other islands (the closest one is Ritz Carlton). It has such a cool vibe and I can only imagine what it would be when the artists and musicians would do their gigs there.
I cannot wait to go back to Patina. It is no longer a resort in the Maldives, it is a destination on its own right.

We had a perfect stay here at patina, the staff were very attentive and nothing was too big of an ask for them. The eco-friendly nature of the hotel, matched with the rustic interior made the 10 days feel like a zen retreat.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom sunset overwater villa which was stunning and I appreciated the free bikes that we could use all around the island. Plenty of things for my 2 teens to keep themselves occupied with

We are the family of 5 and it is our 8th trip to Maldives. We’ve stayed in Vakkaru, One&Only Reetih Rah, Anantara Kihavah Villas, etc. so we have a very good reference what a 5 star resort in this price range should be like. Patina is nowhere near this category. Here is why (there are too many problems to list all): Pros: 1. Two bedroom villa we’ve stayed is very nice. Very spacious and comfortable. 2. Restaurants are very good and food quality is very high 3. Villa and resort design is very unique and beautiful 4. Excellent choice of water sports Cons (a lot) 1. If are not staying in a villa on the main beach (beach along the main pool) you can forget about swimming. Water is VERY VERY shallow everywhere else. 2. A lot of coral pieces, very challenging to get in a water without hurting your feet 3. The island lacks trees and greenery overall, a lot of empty spaces with construction like looking landscape. 4. When we moved in into our villa it was dirty: main dining table was dusty, Carpet in a bathroom was dirty, no water glasses, etc. A lot of little things that make a difference 5. Roots, Koen, Arabesque, Tum Tum restaurants were closed during the first 7 days of our stay. What’s up with that? We booked this resort based on the website information about many restaurants choices. Roots restaurant never opened 6. Waiters may forget to bring your full order and also very often serve the main course before appetizer 😳 7. There was a private party for approximately 80 people on the beach with stage speakers, etc one evening. The music was heard in every part of the island until in 11:30 pm. Can you imagine something like this coming to a high end 5 star resort? 8. There is only one restaurant open for breakfast so forget about nice and quiet breakfast. You feel like you are in a crowded family eatery with naked kids running around, etc. Also, be ready to wait for your omelet for 30-45 minutes, “kitchen is very busy”…..Desperately in need of one more restaurant for breakfast. And service again…🤦♂️ 9. At breakfast you see people in a restaurant in beach attire (no shirts, girls in swimsuits) and nobody cares to mention that there is a dress code in effect. 10. Overall this resort needs a LOT of changes in service and attention to guests in order to position itself in this price category. It is such a striking difference between the quality at the villa , high end furniture and materials used and such a poor and amateur service. This is a 5 star hotel property wise and a solid 3 star service wise. I wish was aware of the information above when I made our booking, I would have surely opted for another resort. We will not come back to Patina Resort nor will we recommend it any anybody we like😉

Had the luck to spend great days at Patina Maldives, it is absolutely breathtaking. The (new) project is a truly inspired one, bringing together seamlessly a architectural masterpiece from renowned Brazilian Architect Marcio Kogan with it's clean, contemporary lines and materiais along with superb landscapes and a concept of sustainability and calm well being in a manner of true wonder. The various pavilions offers a multitude of experiences and are curated with the best of the best, true luxury, no excesses. The great James Turrell installation is always a pleasure to the senses day, night or in between. SPA and activities are flawless. The shops are a experience apart and I can't recomend it enough, Jimi who runs it is a connoisseur and an embassador and Rake has a forward thinking about what retail. The food is creative, adequate, tasteful and offer something for each taste. To the staff of the various restaurants, thank you for your kind treatment. The manager Marco is an experienced well travelled and read gentleman who is always own top of everything to make the stay a truly memorable one. Great accomplishment from the Capella Group, you've found loyal clients and admirers of the vision. All the luck for the new Hotel and success for many years to come.

Every last detail, service, amenity, restaurant, and piece of furniture at Patina Maldives was top notch. And the pleasantness of the staff is unmatched. Privacy is a priority at Patina, as is getting to know their guests before arrival so that by the time you get there you feel welcomed home.
My now husband and I spend the second week of our honeymoon at Patina and would choose it again, even after the world reopens for travel. (yes, over Indo/Bali, Seychelles, Anguilla, and St. Lucia!) We had special jet lag vitamins on our nightstands (they new we were flying from afar), a tasteful “happy honeymoon display,” an extra pillow for my husband, his and hers slippers, and every member of the staff knew about my list of serious allergies.
Bottom line: If you’re looking for a break from reality, a private island experience with your significant other, a family getaway, or anything in between, and have the money to spring on Patina, you will be glad you did.

Hi, you can download their patina app from AppStore, it has information about all the restaurants at patina they have many restaurants, you can visit anywhere at the property 👍🏻 Fari village etc , they have go go burger truck (on extra charges )worth trying , as well as icecream truck which you can enjoy during your stay complimentary for all guest 😍You can even visit ritz Carlton for lunch or dinner they have free boat transfer in every 15 min, ask ur resort to help you they will help you rest you can confirm on arrival , activity will be on charges basis you can confirm with them on arrival, evening cocktails are for everyone 😊i hope you find this helpful , enjoy it’s a beautiful property , you can even mail them they are very prompt 🙌
