The Grecian Bay Hotel is located in Ayia Napa near the lively streets where you can find bars, restaurants groceries and places to party. I had a room in the west wing, the room was big and very clean. There is a little fridge so you can store your drinks. There is also a kettle with tea and coffee. You get a free water bottle everyday. The bed was very comfortable. The pool is very big with a large shallow end for kids and a deeper place where you can swim. It is very relaxing. Then there is the beautiful and clean beach with golden sand. There are almost no stones you won’t need shoes to go in the sea. They have a very clever system for the chairs, you get assigned a number for your stay. The chair is booked for you until 10h30. Then you can go on any free chair, by the sea or at the pool. So no need to wake up early and run for a chair. With this system I always found plenty of spots to sit. The staff is amazing and so nice. The people at the reception are very helpful (they went the extra mile to help me) as well as the pool and beach staff who are smily and want to give you the best experience. The cleaning staff is also very nice and does an amazing job cleaning the rooms. I would say that the breakfast staff are ok. They will not always clean your plates away and I did not feel the same warmness than with the rest of the staff. There is a gym, tennis and spa, with Covid you will need to reserve. There is also a free wifi that is ok but not 100% reliable. You better get a deal with an operator. It was weak in the west wing as well as on the beach but very good by the pool. If you like sunny days on the beach and night lige at walking distance this is a great place for a relaxing holiday.

We have stayed in studio in Grecian Bay for 10 days at the end of June. The most important advantage = NO MOSQUITOES in Ayia Napa and almost no flies. Our travel agency was Coral Travel with excellent support. Grecian Bay hotel welcomed us with exceptionally friendly and professional team. Olga on reception was very helpful and always smiling. George and Andrey in Fishermans’ Hut impressed us with an enthusiastic and positive attitude. We have arrived in the evening and were immediately given room 251. The studio was clean, spacious enough, with an additional bed for my 14 years daughter. Her small bed was comfortable, while the bed for my wife and me was huge and soft. We slept well, although our bed was a little bit too high and too soft. However, generally good. The bathroom was big with a separate shower and bath. Two separate sinks. All needed cleaning liquids. The pressure in the upper shower was very good. The bathroom had a minor scent of old pipes, which is natural, since the hotel is old, although the studio room is renovated. Studio 251 has a balcony with a nice sea view. It is well closed from the neighboring balconies, although all the noises and smokes are immediately in the room. I had to warn loud Russians the next balcony to be quiet. Fortunately, they have obeyed. However, I could do nothing with smokers, because ashtrays are on the tables of the balconies. I admire the reservation system of the sunbeds in Grecian Bay. We have received the voucher with the numbers of three sunbeds and used them during all the vacation. Very convenient. Once some Russian couple occupied our sunbeds, but I have shown them the voucher and they moved away. The pool is very comfortable. Good clean water, different shapes, and depths make it enjoyable. The beach is even better. The temperature of the water was perfect. From 24 to 25 degrees. We could spend an hour in the water with no discomfort. The sea bottom is sandy and steep. Almost no stones. No special shoes are needed. It goes approximately 50 meters until the depth reaches 2 meters. Enough space for the kids. This is the reason why most of the guests come with children of all ages. Grecian Bay stays on the beach and sunbeds come close to the water, but there are “wild” tourists, coming from the other hotels and apartments, which occupy the space between Grecian Bay sunbeds and the sea. Therefore, the sea is well crowded. Sometimes it was hard to hide away from the balls and other flying objects coming from happy youngsters. The seawater is very clean. We had half-board and sometimes took dinner a la carte, which was tasty and reasonable. Sometimes we chose lunch (rich buffet) instead of dinner. Lunch had always one type of soup (very primitive) at least two types of meat (usually chicken and something else), fish and some specialties. Fresh and boiled or steamed vegetables. Melons and watermelons, very tasty desserts. We are very much satisfied with the quantity and quality of food. Sometimes Russians would grasp all the food off the plate (with obvious aim to leave it on the table uneaten), but in few minutes the waiters would bring the new portion. We have enjoyed fresh orange juices in the morning and very good quality coffee. Small Fishermans’ Hut restaurant on the territory cooks grill fish. We have visited Fishermans’ Hut twice and every time paid 70 Euros for the food for three of us. Grill bar provides burgers and Souvlaki (very big one). The territory of Grecian Bay is green, with a small pond full of red fish and a variety of beautiful trees. We communicated with 5-6 very polite cats The taxi to the center of Ayia Napa (Central Church) costs 5-6 Euro. The church itself is new, but has good energy inside and impressive frescoes on the wall. There is a very old Fucus tree nearby. 600 years old. Sometimes we have taken the dinner in Ayia Napa. The most annoying was the lack of Wi-Fi in room 251. It would die three-five times during one hour especially in the first half of the day. We had to tap login and password again and again. Sometimes with no result. Impossible to speak via Viber or do any bank transfer. In the evenings, it was better, but never stable. Anyway, you must enjoy see and sun on vacation. From this point of view, Grecian Bay is almost perfect

Luxury, luxury, luxury. When you want the best then this is your choice. From service to sleep quality, cleanless, professionalism and pumpering to tastes. The best in Ayia Napa with a sandy beach and lovely lagoon style pool. Pool/beach serviced, high quality excellent choices.

Once again, year after year grecian bay continues to hold the no 1 hotel pole position in ayia napa and cyprus. Got here last week and i was feeling a bit cautious from returning on holidays after covid. However all these worries were eliminated the moment I entered the grecian premises. The staff super covid cautious, everything is well thought such that its either one use or sanitised. Even the room service menu comes in a sealed envelope and is not the menu the prior guest used. The service remains extremely high quality, the weather is perfect and the spot at the bay beach is no 1. I was also impressed by the food at the hotel. I always ate at the fantastic grill bar by the pool but happened to order room service and it was just amazing. Wow. Grilled fish, freshly prepared and a nice greek salad with this view (picture attached). Thank you, grecian bay

The key is the nice pool area and proximity to a great beach. If that is what you want then one can't really go wrong here. Friendly staff and nice grounds. However we were here in October and due to the pandemic it was only about 30% full. I suspect in a normal season with high occupancy the place might creek at the seams. Lots of things need renovation - the common parts, gym/indoor pool and the beach area umbrellas and beds for example. The food offering needs a complete overhaul for the prices being charged/to be considered 5 star. The staff were superb. Nothing too much trouble. Hopefully the owners make the investments to match the location and staff efforts.
