Detailed Reviews
We have just spent a week at this delightful place. Hidden away on the western shore of lake Weyba, it is an absolute treat. Our cottage ( Treetops) is a mix of old style 60’s weekender, with luxury features, a great kitchen with everything you need, fabulous shower, comfortable bed and a choice of reverse cycle a/c or slow combustion stove with wood on hand. We felt like we walked into a goldilocks house that the owners had just left, with a welcome pack (substantial) of local treats and starter food packs.
There is a verandah overlooking the lake, clean bbq, local wildlife hopping, flying and paddling past and a canoe for those with energy to paddle. A small jetty/pontoon with sun lounges completes the picture.
The owners have a “light touch” policy, so you won’t see them (even for check in), but they live on the property and there is a 24 hr phone contact.
We cannot fault our stay and will be back.
If being close to shops, restaurants and commercial areas is important this isn’t the place for you. Quiet enjoyment is it’s beauty.

We stayed in the Cormorant Cottage to celebrate our anniversary and loved it. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast hamper provided was more than enough food for a few breakfasts and snacks. They have thought of all the little details, from multiple types of mosquito repellent (definitely needed for our stay) to cushions for the deck chairs down on the jetty. The view is amazing and it’s so private, the tub on the deck feels luxurious especially with the bath products provided. Noosa is ten minutes away but we enjoyed the quiet so much that we didn’t want to leave the cottage. Bed was comfortable, kitchen and bathroom were modern and the whole place was clean. It was lovely to sit on the deck with a coffee and watch the kangaroos hopping down to the lake at sunrise too. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

Thank you for your review. Lovely to hear you enjoyed our location, it is the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Cormorant is a great cottage for couples and the spa bath on the verandah with views to the lake make it quite special. Thank you for appreciating all the extra's that we add and for mentioning how clean the cottage was, our housekeeping staff work hard and I have passed on your feedback to them. We look forward to welcoming you back. Kind regards Jan

We had a couple of houses booked at Eumarella Shores for a family wedding in Noosa and we have rarely seen more complete holiday accommodation. From washing powder to a fly squat and baby cutlery - the hosts have literally thought of everything! There are also complimentary kayaks and life jackets with each house.
Not to mention the incredible Starter Kit provided which included muesli, milk, oat milk, yoghurt, crackers and cheese, champagne, chocolate, apples and blueberries - simply amazing (and yum!).
Everything was clean and very luxurious. The hosts were also very prompt. The gas ran out on our first night there and the next morning at 8am there was a truck to replace the bottle. We were very pleasantly surprised and we can't recommend this accommodation enough.

Stayed in the Cormorant accommodation. It exceeded our expectations. The two person spa bath on The balcony was a r
Perfect way to wrap up the day after exploring Noosa and it's national parks. The little jetty over looking the lake was peaceful, especially on a calm day, perfect for chilling and reading a book or getting some sun. And the canoe right next to it is ready to go whenever you feel the want to row and explore the lake.
The accommodation provided everything you would need if you wish to be self sufficient, being its own washing facilities and kitchen with stove top, oven and full sized fridge.
The resort included a nice little welcome pack of snacks, breakfast and drinks from what appears to be locally sourced.
Oh yeah and the bed was comfy too. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Cormorant Cottage for 3 nights and it was amazing. The view of the lake was so beautiful and we enjoyed drinks on our private jetty in the afternoon. The owners were very accommodating and organised a paddle board to be delivered to our front door. The complimentary breakfast and prosecco was really thoughtful. The spa bath on the balcony was delightful. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked every night. It was so quiet and peaceful. Great location to visit

Walked in and were stunned! We spent two nights in Cormorant Cottage. The spa bath on the deck was just out of this world, used it both nights. What made the weekend was the little things - a platter waiting for us , champagne chilled, local produce. The fire was ready just to light, beautiful plants in the cottage. The deck on the lake was amazing, we enjoyed our drinks and a couple hours of reading taking it all in.
Jan in the office was delightful and very helpful.
We will def be back , but this time for a week.
Highly recommend ( we were celebrating our wedding anniversary). We would give it 5/5 stars!

+1
The location is beautiful and possibly enjoyable but that heavily depends on whether you live next to a permanently rented out dwelling.
If you do then be prepared to cope with endless noise from blowers, tools and whatever else this property will require in terms maintenance.
We are enjoying “The Studio” on a Friday trying to escape from daily life. That seems like an impossible feast given the last hour has been nothing but noisy with a guy cleaning the gutters from debris and the only thing stopping him is the battery running out of power.
Not to mention the power tools used to cut new pipes for whatever purpose right in front of our deck.
The place is not nearly as idyllic as you may wish it to be based on other reviews.
Yes there are Wallabies grazing in the early hours of the morning but they will quickly hop away once the noise starts…
Enjoy it while it’s quiet and go for walks or kayaking on the lake to escape and really find some peace away from it all.
The accommodation is very nice and the place is surely is tucked away amongst trees with the water just a few meters down a set of stairs which lead to a pier with sun lounges and a place to put your kayak if you brought one. There is a free one provided as well.
The dirt road leading to the cabins is proof that nature comes first and so are the people and their tools trying to keep it at bay…
Bad news, the guy found a spare battery. The fun continues… 🤪

Since you arrive is very nice through the forest. Cottages are distributed along the lake and you have plenty of privacy. We have the driftwood, nice chimney , good kitchen, big living room, two full bathromm, one for handicaped and a powder room.
Two were well appointed bedrooms. The lake is very close and there is a kayak that you can use.
There is also a very friendly ramp for a wheelchair if needed.
Everything in pristine conditions.
Very friendly and serviceable all the staff. Excellent disposition.
It is also very close to Noosa.
The little but is that they are renovating many of the cottages, so instead of we awake by birds, at 7 am you are awake by a hammer and drills and machinery will be there all day long, spoiling the retirement you will like to have.
I won't hesitate at all to go back, but once these works are finish.

Thank you for your lovely comments on our location, staff and cleanliness. We are pleased to hear you also enjoyed our Lakehouse - Driftwood. We are so sorry that your stay was disturbed by the building noise close by. A private owner was renovating and had advised that the noise levels would be minimal. We would ensure you had an experience more in keeping with the peaceful setting on your next stay. Kind regards Jan

Fantastic quiet location, yet within a few minutes drive of Noosa.
We stayed in Driftwood Lodge which was very well appointed spacious and perfect for two couples. The welcome pack provided on arrival was a very ‘welcome’ after a long drive from Sydney.
We loved the lakeside view and all made use of the kayak. We loved watching the wildlife, as two English visitors on our first trip to Australia the kangaroos in the grounds were an added bonus.
Christmas Day on the beach followed by a BBQ on the veranda was a novelty for us too.

We went to Eumarella Shores for our anniversary and my birthday for five nights. It was a wonderful get away. We stayed in Gooloolawa the 3 bed house on the Lake. Beautifully presented, very large entertaining area, lounge, dining, deck, smart TV, fireplace, everything you could want and the most lovely welcome starter pack for breakfast as well as nibbles. The managers have done their job well. We had friends come up for one overnighter and were thrilled as well. They all went for the complimentary canoe paddle and we just thoroughly enjoyed the whole ambience of the place. The drive to Noosa, Tewantin and beyond is very convenient but when you arrive back home the privacy and quiet is so welcomed. My husband and I are both artists so we brought our art supplies and enjoyed some time on the deck with views of the Lake to create some little artworks. A nice memento. We do have one improvement to offer though to management and we hope they can accommodate this before our next return as we plan to be back with some family members next year. All the deck has for enjoying the view is 12 bar stools lined up along the glass balustrades without any backs. Not conducive for socialising and just enjoying the ambience of the place. This was a disappointment. As we are in our 70's backless stools, no table etc was not for us. Luckily we brought our portable chairs and table for our art creating. We highly recommend that the owners buy some comfy outdoor table and chairs furniture for the deck for guests to enjoy. This would make the place complete for sure! Otherwise thank you for a lovely stay!
