Detailed Reviews
We stayed at Pacific Beach Resort for the third year in a row. With everything on your doorstep we wouldn't go anywhere else. Situated opposite the beach the apartments have gorgeous 180 degree ocean views, below are a wide range of restaurants, cafes, shops and parks. The Coles supermarket is in the street behind, just a quick walk away, and we barely move our car from the underground carpark during our stay. The self catering apartments are well stocked with all your essentials, including a dishwasher and washing machine and nicely decorated to make your stay very comfortable and relaxing.
The swimming pool and spa offer a relaxing change from the beach when our daughters want to have a swim after playing at the beach all day.
The Manager's Debi and Craig are lovely and only too happy to assist in anyway they can. We highly recommend Pacific Beach Resort and look forward to returning again in the future.

I can’t love this place enough. It is the only place I stay when I go to the Sunshine Coast. Get yourself a room that faces the beach. 180° views from your balcony. Just beautiful anytime of the day.
The location is perfect. Right in the middle of the main strip, you can walk to all restaurants and cafes. There are many shops in this area but some are pricey if that’s the fashion you like.
These are apartments so comes with a kitchen and laundry. Located behind the hotel is Coles Supermarket so if your wanting to save some money or just enjoy cooking you will have everything you need including pots and cooking utensils in the apartment. If you are coming in a car you also have included an under ground car park that is totally secure.
I highly recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed.

The Pacific Beach Resort has such great views from the balcony and the rooms have everything you need for a comfortable holiday. Your host Craig & Debi make you feel so very welcome during your stay and are so helpful with any local information they can provide. We have stayed at other accommodation venues in Mooloolaba but value for money its just hard to go past the Pacific Beach Resort. The photo is of the view from our balcony as we had breakfast each morning. I might add its was our first stay with Craig & Debi but it will not be our last!!

We had a fabulous winter stay at Pacific Beach Resort in apartment 835. Nestled between Mooloolaba's only two 5 star apartments (but at a much more reasonable cost), we were so pleasantly surprised to find that the view was just as spectacular, the service just as exceptional (from Debi) and the apartment just as spacious. Do yourself a favour and book a beach front apartment for best views. Our apartment was light, modern, comfortable and beautifully decorated with beach artwork. A huge tick for cleanliness ( I am a real type A on this and this apartment was an A+). Perfect location right in the middle of the Esplanade action and stroll across the road to the beach, yet no noise other than the sound of the rolling waves. We stayed mid June 2020 and I can confirm that Mooloolaba is alive and open! The spa is hot and the pool warm enough to swim in. Why wait! Would definitely recommend and am more than happy to return. Perfect winter stay and could not want for more.

We had the pleasure of spending a long weekend at this resort with our family of 4 and thoroughly enjoyed it. We booked an Ocean View room and were fortunate to score the 10th floor. Our room had stunning views and was spacious and clean. One of the best features of this resort is its very central location. It's across the road from the beach, right on the shopping and dining strip and within a few minutes walk of Coles, making it extremely convenient to grab our morning coffee, dine out or collect groceries. Everything was within walking distance. Despite it's central location we found the room to be quiet and comfortable. Dianne on reception was friendly and helpful in accommodating our questions and needs. The resort had good facilities and all common areas were kept clean and tidy. We loved it here and hope to return sometime in the near future. We would thoroughly recommend this property.

Disappointed!
When I booked I specifically asked that the room be complete beach/ocean front view as we've stayed in other places where they say "ocean front" or "ocean view" but you have to stand on tippy toes at the far corner of the balcony and crane your neck to see water, and I also requested a room on a higher level.
Well, we certainly didn't get much of an ocean view or a room on a higher level...the room was on the first floor at the side of the building. You could only see glimpses of the ocean through the trees if you stood on the balcony and even then you had a lovely (Not!) view right on top of the tennis court. If you sat on the lounge inside, the outside view was of the air conditioner compressor on the balcony and a wall.
The inside of the unit itself was lovely, it was redone and modern, clean and tidy so no complaints there. The staff were helpful and tried to move us to another room the following day but by the time the other guest had checked out, we wanted to get out and do things and it wasn't worth it for only a 2 night stay.
Also found the whole check in and check out process pretty poor. We arrived right on checkin time at 2pm to a closed office. Rang the number at the desk which went to message bank. Got a call back to say they were checking in guests at another hotel, and the "after hours check in" text message explained how to get the key from the locked security box. Same when we checked out...no one there and basically guessed what we had to do with the key.
Overall on the plus side, it's in a great location, the staff were friendly and the room was upgraded, but don't think we'll be going back there because of the lack of view and for the price you pay for "ocean front", it's overrated.

Loved it so much! Massive space and amazing views from level 5. We had the one bedroom apartment and it was huge.
3 tvs, 2 large sitting areas with sofas, 2 bathrooms with showers also one included washer and dryer. Large deck and well stocked kitchen with dishwasher, plates, bowls, glasses, cutlery etc.
Couldn’t get enough of the view!

Very nice outlook from the 7th level of this complex with a good view of the beach
During the time we were there the 1st floor entertainment area was closed as the hotel pool was undergoping renovations. We were informed well in asdnace of this so it was not a surprise .
A feeling that the whole place is a bit aged and needs a good overhaul to spruce it up although it was clean, tidy and had everything necessary
Excellent location immediately across from the beach with numerous restaurants in the close vicinity
One major complaint was the car parking. The space allocated for our unit was extremely narrow so much do that we incurred considerable damage to one of the car panels trying to get in. All other car parks were two spaces side by side so manoeuvring was not too bad, but we were a simple lot hemmed in by a wall and two concrete columns. Note to incoming guests, steer well clear of the space allocated to unit 30
Other aspects of the unit quite good, wifi, tv, fridge and kitchenette which included a washing machine.
Certainly recommended

Stay away - mould, dust, old stinky rooms, drunk and arrogant staff. Unsanitary and unhealthy motel.
Stay away - mould, dust, old stinky rooms, drunk and arrogant staff. Unsanitary and unhealthy motel.
This is 1 or 2 star motel, rooms are full of mould and dust, see photos. Strong smell of mould and dead fish in all the rooms. Fans are covered by mould so once they on mould transfers to your belongings. Dirty and unsanitary bed sheets, see photos. Rooms are full of bugs. Food leftovers on the floor. When we requested refund, the receiptionists (Kaitlyn Toomey) and their manager (Adelle Elphinstone) were very arrogant, bullied my family and refused to provide refund claiming that it should be approved by their manager who appears to be completely drunk and non-attainable that day. We were defrauded by these people since we paid for 4 star hotel and received 1 star room (all rooms they showed us were the same). Stay away and don't waste your money and health in this hotel.

Response from Adelle Elphinstone, Guest Services / Front Office at Pacific Beach Resort
Responded 12 May 2024
Dear Guest, We are sorry to hear about your negative experience at our resort. However, upon reviewing your feedback, we find several inaccuracies that do not reflect the true standards of our establishment. Every effort was made by our team to endeavour to satisfy you from the get go. You requested an early arrival at 11am which we happily obliged, it was an hour later you returned to reception to complain. We take cleanliness and hygiene very seriously, and our team works diligently to maintain our rooms to the highest standards. We conduct regular inspections and have strict protocols in place to address any issues promptly. Our team offered on more than one occasion to have our housekeeping team attend to the issues you raised, we offered room moves to alternative apartments, and per your request these rooms where shown on several occasions - these services were repeatedly refused, and you chose to stay in the original room you checked into. Regarding your claim about our staff being drunk and arrogant, we can assure you that this is not the case, and find this comment offensive and quite frankly ridiculous. Our team members are trained to provide courteous and professional service to all our guests and in return we expect the same. Our team deserve to feel safe in their working environment.

Hay was going to write this as the review for the hotel – is it to harsh or am I missing something
If you were to rate this place based on location it is five star for sure. I wish everything else had the same rating. This place is well positioned on the promenade, close to shops, places to eat and across the road from the beach.
However, the building is outdated, the singular lift is old and if you have phobia of elevators do not use it, it bounces and they have had to put a sign up not to bounce or jump otherwise it will stop. The building operates a garbage shoot which is great in concept, however it was clogged up and the smell was putrid, it was so bad we felt sick every time we waited for the elevator and it began to come into the apartment. We advised the team a couple of times over the week, but nothing had changed.
The rooms were ok, mattress quite hard and uncomfortable but the rest of the three bedroom apartment was spacious.
