Love this place!
Just had a wonderful relaxing long weekend, Thursday to Sunday, with a late check out,
This little gem is so close to everything, beach, shops and wharf area, with a vast array of eateries to suit all budgets.
Unit 308 has such a beachy vibe, with comfy sofa, very comfy bed, great little kitchen and wonderful shower, it was delightful to spend time on the balcony with a glass of chilled bubbly, some nibbles and of course the great sea views.
Friendly informative managers Bridgette and Charlie are most helpful and accomodating to ensure you will always have a great stay,
Can’t wait for my next trip😁

Hi Skip39 and many thanks for your lovely review of your recent stay with us. Apartment 308 is certainly a guest favorite and one of our most popular apartment requests so it great you could enjoy all the goodness and stunning sea views from the apartment - nibbles and wine/beers/juice on the balcony while watching the world go by is a must during anyone's stay with us here at Sandcastles. We are really looking to having you back with us next time you are heading up this way for a beach breakaway. Kindest Regards Bridgette & Charlie

After being in lockdown for near on 4 months, a couple of GF’s and I decided to have weekend away, locally. We are all from the coast and decided on a stay at Sandcastles in Mooloolaba. We had trouble getting accommodation for just the 1 night, most where 2 nights plus. A recommended call to Bridgette at Sandcastles who was so accommodating, gave us a great deal and the views from our balcony were divine. Unit was super clean and extremely comfortable and spacious. Walking distance to everything Mooloolaba has to offer. Bridgette and Charlie are onsite managers and could not be more pleasant. I highly recommend a stay here wether it’s 1 night or more.

Hi 446KimH It was a pleasure to have you with us and we are so glad that we could accommdate you for the one night - it is not always possible - but if we can, we will. Its a buzz for us to have other Coasters stay as you know the Coast and Mooloolaba so well so to choose us out of all the accommodation available is humbling. We look forward to seeing for your next ladies catch up. Kindest Regards Bridgette

We stayed at Sandcastles for 10 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It is a great location, opposite a surf patrolled beach and directly behind the Surf Life Saving Club. The room was clean, with a sea view. There is a fully equipped kitchen and washer/dryer. Bridgette and Charlie are awesome hosts and are a wealth of knowledge about the local area and where to get a decent feed! If you are a coffee lover, go to Good Bean where the young baristas make a great coffee. The only downside was a couple of early morning beer drop offs at the Surf Club where it was noisy, otherwise would highly recommend Sandcastles.

Recently spent the weekend at Sandcastles Mooloolaba and just loved our experience. On arrival you are greeted by such welcoming and lovely staff. Bridgette and Charlie were fantastic and such great ambassadors for not just for their property but also Mooloolaba and the Sunshine Coast.
Our 1 bedroom apartment had everything we needed inside, the location was amazing! A plethora of great cafes, restaurants, SLSC totally spoilt for choice and of course the ocean, beach walks right at your finger tips. We'll definitely be back!
In terms of food and beverages, for a great coffee and chilled Sunday morning vibes I highly recommend Bomba Coffee House, 2 minutes walk from Sandcastles down Burnett Street. Beck makes great coffee, staff are friendly and from 8 - 10 am enjoy the live chilled vibes from a very talent local musician. We had breakfast at Scotch Bonnet, I liked the clean lines of the decor and food did not disappoint. If you want to make your own and like fresh seafood take a 15 minute stroll down the beach, boardwalk or Parklyn Parade to the numerous seafood vendors and buy the Mooloolaba' Prawns. Enjoy them on your balcony with a crisp white wine and watching the world go by whilst listening to the sounds of the ocean.
Great on site parking for your stay once you have checked in, finding a car space on arrival though before checking in can be tricky depending on day and time you arrive but if that's the biggest down side of your stay you really have nothing to complain about. Thank you again Sandcastles Mooloolaba, loved our stay will be telling all our friends about your lovely property.

We had a 10 day stay using one of the lower level deluxe apartments.
We enjoyed many things by choosing Sandcastles. The friendly team who manage the facility, the big balcony, clean and tidy apartment, big bathroom and shower, and comfortable bed, made the choice of staying at Sandcastles a good choice.
Most of all was the great location. Very close to the Mooloolaba Wharf with all of its eating places, the Surf Club, and so close to the southern end of The Esplanade.
There were 2 good sized TVs – lounge plus bedroom; good furniture both within the apartment and on the balcony.
Coles is the only supermarket in Mooloolaba and this is a 10 minute or more walk away. We found this Supermarket to be not up to standard and much preferred the 3 Supermarkets 5 mins by bus south at the Kawana Shopping Centre. This Shopping Centre also has a Butchers Shop as well as the 3 Supermarkets.
Although the apartment has single glazed windows we were never troubled by noise.
We had no car so did not use the Car park but did notice that it was underground at the Sandcastles and very secure.
We used the frequent buses from the bus stop only a 1 minute walk away.
Our booking was made by phone and we received the apartment and location we asked for. Price was very similar to other Mooloolaba apartments but the big advantage of Sandcastles is its superb location within Mooloolaba. Most definitely a major attraction being only a short walk to everything.
We have stayed at Mooloolaba several times over the last 10+ years and were pleased we choose Sandcastles for the first time on this visit.
Sandcastles is not a high rise building but views are still adequate but its prices are much better that what the high rise accommodations charge.

We booked a 2 night stay through Bookings.com which stated restricted ocean views. We were in room 104 which was located behind the surf club and had no view of the ocean. Most of the view from the balcony when standing was of the surf club, some sand, roof tops, power lines and some trees. The room was very basic but clean. The location of the complex itself is good as it is close to the beach and restaurants. A small pool. Staff were friendly but would not stay here again as I think there is better value for money on the coast.

Hi and thanks for taking the time to review you stay with us. You booked our Standard apartment via Booking.com. The description for our Standard Apartments on Booking.com is worded as follows: "Standard Apartments are on lower floors and are older in style with restricted views. All apartments include a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, laundry facilities, flat screen TV with Foxtel, balcony and free WiFi." We work hard to ensure we are as clear as we can be in apartment descriptions as it is imperative to us that guests expectations are always met and there no suprises or let downs. We only have 3 standard apartments in the complex and you were allocated the apartment type you booked. We are sorry you did not see the value given our location on the beach however, understand we are not for everyone. Kindest Regards Bridgette & Charlie

Friendly staff and great location. Unfortunately, after paying for a Delux room, I can't see what "extras" we were paying for, that a standard room wouldn't have. We were only on the 2nd floor and our view was for the most part, just other buildings. On our 3 nights stay we never recieved house keeping at all, accumulating garbage and nearly running out of toilet paper. We unfortunately never really got an opportunity to escalate to the lovely ladies in reception as they finish their days quite early, long before we return to our room after a day out.
Otherwise, the place was clean, well kept when it does recieve house keeping (prior to our arrival) and is situated in a good location on the Sunny Coast

Hi Natasha and thank you for your review. It was great that you enjoyed our location and our staff made you welcome. Its a shame we did not get to talk with you about your apartment servicing. During the first 4 months of COVID we suspended our daily apartment servicing as per the Industry standard recommendations - this was to protect our guests, tenants and staff. We have a notice a lift explaining that we were not offering daily servicing but should any guest require anything at all to see us at reception. I'm sorry this was not explained to you at check in. We have recycle bins and a rubbish chute located on every floor for you to dispose of your own rubbish. These are self contained apartments and you are required to ensure all rubbish is disposed of via the recycle bins or the chute and rubbish is not left in the apartment. Our weekend hours are 9:00am - 3:00pm and we live onsite so if you had called us, we would have most definately assisted you with housekeeping requirement had we been made aware. You booked last minute and were allocated a low level Deluxe apartment by Booking.com which is all we had available at the time of your booking. The apartment you stayed in is a brand new refurbishment and is classed a Deluxe - we don't offer extras according to apartment class - the standard apartments are older in presentation and priced lower than the refurbished Deluxe class. Please feel free to contact me direct next time you are looking for a beach break - we would love to have you back and will do everything we can to ensure you are accommodated in an apartment that suits you. Kindest Regards Bridgette

We had booked for eight nights and were really disappointed on arrival. For the price and the Trip Advisor rating, it simply did not measure up. Our unit appeared to have been recently renovated but it was a really cheap job. The light switches were not secure, the toilet roll holder leaned downwards, the wardrobe doors very thin and the bed gave me my first ever back ache on waking.
It turns out that Sandcastles, although well located, is at the ‘poor end’ of the beach front strip and the area is unusually dark at night.
My partner and I were shocked when we first walked into our allocated apartment (305) and felt no better the following morning. I went in search of alternative accomodation, which was difficult to find. Eventually found something, which was three bedrooms instead of one, and cost 2.5 times more than Sandcastles. It was worth every cent. Sandcastles is not serviced daily, the alternative one is. The lounge room/dining area is four times the size and we have a beachfront view.
To be fair to Sandcastles, I did not say anything, except we were leaving early. They graciously only charged us for two nights accomodation and refunded the six nights. I was very grateful. The receptionist was lovely and the standard of accomodation was not her fault, so no point in carrying on to her.
Sandcastles is a three star resort at best, and certainly not 4.5.

We chose Sandcastles for the location and the rooftop terrace. We were not disappointed. The building is an older style but clean and comfortable. Our apartment had a barbeque up on the rooftop, but there is a common one in the pool/spa area.
Managers are friendly and very helpful and with car parking included (one car) make it a very easy place to stay.
There is some late night noise from the street, but I guess that’s only to be expected for somewhere so convenient. It didn’t disturb us at all.

Thanks SJB379 for your review of your stay with us - it was great to have you with us and glad you enjoyed our fabulous location and made use of the fabulous rooftop terrace. With the relaxation of the border travel restrictions, we are finding the weekends are very busy with the complex full of people looking for a beach escape so the nights have been a bit noiser than usual with people enjoying getting out and about. We look forward to welcoming you back to Sandcastles and the fabulous Sunshine Coast Regards Bridgette

Nice spacious room, everything you need, close to beach and cafes/restaurants/wharf. Friendly staff and reasonable price. We had a partial ocean view so we could hear the waves at night(which I like).
Surf club is across the road, great value if staying for few days.

Hi there, we certainly do have kitchens in all apartments including a full size fridge, microwave, stovetop, Electric frypan, etc. All dishes, utensils and crockery and cutlery is supplied so all you have to bring is yourself and your sunscreen. Please note: we do not have ovens in any apartments.

Hi, my understanding is that children cannot stay at this accommodation, but call them as they are very easy to communicate with.
Hi Suzanne, yes, we have free unlimited wifi for multiple devices here at Sandcastles. Many thyanks and look forward to seeing you soon.
Regards Bridgette
Hi Kevin - there are small plungers (2 small cups) in the apartments - Give a call direct when you are ready to book and remind me and I will be sure to put a bigger one in the apartment for you. You obviously are a coffee guy - we have The fabulous Good Bean in our Complex - they make such an awesome brew.
Talk to you soon

Bridgette - General Manager
Hi and thanks for your enquiry. The pool is heated, has a spa attached and does have sunloungers and chairs - it is NW facing so gets the stunning afternoon sun. It is not a huge pool but certainly big enough for a pleasant dip. (We do not cater for children at Sandcastles so the pool is extremely peaceful). Our Rooftop apartments do have a seperate bedroom, living/dining area, bathroom (with walk in shower) and full laundry facilities. The kitchen has 2 hotplates, microwave and full size fridge - there is plenty of room and are fully equipped for cooking.
The rooftop Apartments have a spiral staircase off the balcony that accesses your own private rooftop area with table and chairs, small BBQ and sunloungers - and of course the fabulous views over Mooloolaba. Please feel free to contact me directly if you require any further information - I'm more than happy to ensure you are in the perfect apartment for your break away.
Kindest Regards
Bridgette - Sandcastles Mooloolaba
