Detailed Reviews
Stayed for 7 nights with my sister. Walking distance to everything. McDonald's, KFC, Aldi, and chemist across the road, Dan Murphy and Woolworths next door. Golden beach 5 mins walk, centre of Caloundra and beach 10 mins walk. Room clean and tidy with outside table and chairs for 2 overlooking lovely pool which also has 2 covered picnic table and chair settings and a BBQ. Staff were lovely... especially housekeeping who were very helpful. Beds were comfortable, shower was amazing. Room was generally quiet apart from the occasional heavy footed guests in the room above us. Tavern was handy for meals, which were lovely (dinner there 3 nights) and a good price ( guests staying also get 10% off meals). Only downer was the WiFi, terrible in the room ( actually got better reception from the hotel while sitting at McDonald's over the road), and trying to watch Netflix after 10am was a waste of time as it just kept dropping out. Would definitely stay again.

Great location walking distance to the plaza,Woolworths,McDonald’s and the Main Street. And is attached to a great tavern for meals.
The shower was beautiful the room is modern and clean. Having a swimming pool would be great in the summer ( to cold for us this stay)
Lots of parking available and it was quiet.
Would stay again it’s great value for money.
The only thing is check in is inside in the dining area, there is a reception area that was unattended I had to go to the bar and ask but they got somebody to come quickly.

We stayed for a night as it was close accommodation to an engagement party. Our friends stayed at the Oaks for twice the price. The rooms were very spacious, light and breezy. A very pleasant surprise. Almost identical to what the Oaks was except our rooms had a little balcony. Staff were friendly and easy check in and out. If we find ourselves in Caloundra I would most certainly stay here again.

We stayed here two nights. Very quiet downstairs room, which opens to a lovely clean pool.
The tavern has a fabulous family atmosphere with quality meals at reasonable prices.
The staff go out of their way to please.
Would recommend this place to singles, couples, and families.

This was a pleasant surprise. I chose this motel as it was well-priced. I was not expecting much, but what I got was a very good disability-friendly room, great service, and a good place to stay. The room was very clean, met my needs, and was very spacious.
I will definitely be back.

Stayed for 3 days over Christmas. Price was very reasonable. Staff were very helpful. room was good and very clean, plenty of space, lots of cupboards and big bathroom with great shower. The pool is lovely. Ate in the restaurant and had very good meal. It's not a luxurious hotel but it is great value for money and was better than we expected for what we paid. Easy walk to beach and shops.Plenty of parking. We would stay there again.

My friend recommended this place to me as it is within the Sunshine Coast, has a good restaurant and serviceable accommodation. Room was clean, shower water was warm, and the TV was clear, all channels worked.

Today I ordered the Roast of the Day for lunch at the Golden Beach Tavern. The Roast Pork that was served to me was almost all fat and gristle and I could not eat more than a mouthful. Thankfully the vegetables were very tasty as I literally had roast vegetables and gravy for lunch. Admittedly it was on the lunch time special list however the meat was inedible. After receiving advice the table staff offered to replace the meat or to bring me a complimentary piece of cake. Neither was satisfactory. I am not in the habit of complaining about food and we eat out a lot. We have eaten at the Golden Beach Tavern previously and the food was of a good standard. My husband's steak sandwich was generous and tasty. My grandson's "kids meal" of steak was ordinary to say the least. Perhaps they were having a bad day but their customer service was very poor today.

Had lunch here and there was a mix up in that my wife ordered battered fish and got grilled fish instead. That was fixed and the battered fish was nice. Garlic bread starter was cold and $7.00 for a small side order of chips was a bit expensive. Other then that, service was good, the menu had a lot of selections and the place was clean and tidy. Seniors and kids meals are available. I would rate this place higher than the RSL.
