We could not recommend Chateau Milly more highly. Cardinal Richelieu was one of France’s greatest statesmen ever and we got to sleep in a bedroom inside the grand tower relocated from his chateau! The bed was super-comfortable, the pillows soft and the linen of the highest quality. The chateau is grand yet surprisingly intimate and ideal for family dinners around the table. The impressive pool is heated and one of the best I have ever swum in. Another highlight was an early morning stroll through the expansive grounds spotting deer through the trees. Chateau Milly is welcoming, romantic but also practicable - it’s historic but everything you want to be modern like bathrooms and WiFi is up to date and in perfect working order.

Perfect place for big family reunions and celebrations. All rooms are beautiful and thoughtfully decorated - everyone is different so there should be something for everyone.
The games room was a big hit with the kids (big and small) for table tennis and table football etc.
Pool kitchen with dishwasher, fridge and all pool friendly plates and glasses really made life by the pool much easier and meant we could enjoy every moment.

Chateau Milly is a fabulous imposing fantasy French chateau set in extensive wooded grounds and with a great pool area. Inside it has been sympathetically modernised with all mod cons but without losing its period charm and features. We slept in a lovely bedroom with views out over the grounds in a tower which once formed part of Cardinal Richelieu’s palatial nearby country home. The weather was fantastic and the generous hospitality unrivalled. I can’t recommend too highly.

Just stayed in Chateau Milly for a week! What can I say this place is amazing! Can't wait to come back! Stunning house and pool! Everything is wonderful! Bedroom and bathroom dreamy and spotlessly clean!

This beautiful Chateau in the centre of the Loire Valley, is 40 minutes drive from Poitiers airport (Ryanair) and 40 min drive from Chatellerault or TOURS High speed TGV train station.
It is the perfect place if you are looking for affordable luxury and the hosts are very friendly. In the summer there is a grand pool, and in the winter you can seat by the fire in the grand-salon. It is immaculate and clean and all rooms are newly redone; I had a beautiful stay and will come back

By train that's the best option. Ryanair have flights into Poitiers and Tours and you can hire a car from both airports - both less than an hour away from Milly and you will need a car whilst you are there.
