Detailed Reviews
Wanted a small hotel in town within walking distance to everything, Aligio is it!.
Reserved a 1 bedroom apt, came equipped with a completely adequate kitchen space, garden terrace with seating & dining table, maid service every other day, could not have asked for more for the price, honestly its a great deal.
*One note, the bathroom was very small, not much room for toiletries.
Very accommodating staff, check-in seamless, free private secure parking, Dinner at the pool restaurant I found consistently good, (a rarity in LT).. Breakfast was nice, could use some help in presentation but the service always with a smile, (daily breakfast buffet included in the nightly rate). Our room was towards the back of the complex in the garden, completely quiet, (occasional kid at the pool) but zero street noise which can be a problem in LT. I would & will reserve again with out hesitation on my next visit. Thank you Aligio! See you again soon!

We enjoyed our stay at Aligio. The outdoor area with two pools was really beautiful. The sea was just a few steps away. The room was simple but spacious and quiet.
There were lots of restaurants and shopping opportunities within short walking distance. We appreciated free parking and the fact that a friend of ours in the same town could enter for a visit.

We have rented a penthouse, and it was absolutely stunning. The space was incredibly spacious and well-equipped, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The service was exceptional, with great attention to detail, especially the wonderful housekeeping every other day. The beautiful garden added a touch of serenity, and the view of the ocean was simply gorgeous. We are definitely planning to come back in the future. Although there was no washer in the penthouse, it was not an issue at all. There was a laundry facility just a block away that offered wash and fold services for less than $10 for the whole family. Cant beat that.

The place has one of the best locations in Terrenas, but it is in urgent need of maintenance. The service is a bit poor and the breakfast lacks organization and presentation, however it tastes very good. The apartment (penthouse) needs a lot of maintenance, more details and better care. The beds are comfortable, however it is the only comfortable thing that the apartment has. The refrigerator did not work, the jacuzzi was super dirty and had no heater, the oven was out of service, the wifi did not work. The truth is that we had a good time because it was with the family and we decided to spend it on the beach, but we would definitely not return to the place.

This hotel has an excellent location, the exterior spaces are very well cared, rooms was clean and the front desk team is very attentive, however they need to change the Administration. When we arrived the Penthouse was very hot, they never turned on the air and it was literally an oven. The AC system is terrible, only one control for all equipment's , The Jacuzzi was not cleaned. They never refill the soap or cream in the bathroom, breakfast was the same every day with not options and sometimes you had to wait because they didn't have enough for everyone and on the last day it was practically just bread and fruit and it was over and they didn't have any more. The kitchen staff were not friendly, only one girl we can say that she gave a good service.
I do not recommend the hotel and I do not intend to return there again unless they change the administration or improve the service, check the rooms before the guest arrives and improve the part of the meals and the kitchen that is a disaster.

Unexpectedly expensive without providing any service at all . when we arrive, we try to use the Jacuzzi, but it was empty and then when we fill it up the water, it was cold and never get warm...the second day we’re out of new towels so we have to call so they will come to clean up the room and bring the towels. The restaurant it was poor they have almost nothing ,and our last day it was closed. also, on the price it was nothing included. The location, although it was very good and the stuff very friendly.

We (my wife, adult son and me) stopped for 5 nights in Las Terrenas. Were in Santo domingo (rented penthouse), Bavaro (two large AI hotels) and Samana (big seaview appartment at VistaMare), but Aligio was by far the best. Quiet, lot of privacy, modern and well maintained supercomfy appartment, clever setup. Restaurant was OK, great beach of Punta Poppy some 10 min walk away. Jacuzzi at the grassy backyard totally secluded. Highly recommended

the worst place to be in Las Terrenas. Poor service. Impossible to sleep due to the noise of the parties in the apartments and the lack of respect for tenants who want to rest. A shame of place. Our stay in the Dominican Republic has turned into a nightmare. Nobody does anything to make the tenants who organize parties behave.

Dear guest, We deeply regret the inconvenience encountered last night in regard of the noise in Las terrenas due to the easter season. Our security guards have been told to reinforce the measures so that the guests can comply with the rules; we are aware that they are having a hard time with some guests and we have talked to them directly as we can not allow this kind of behaviour. We do apologize once again and you can rest assure that this message have been shared with the chief of security and also with the general management in order to avoid similar perception of our property in the future. Kindest regards,

I booked my room through Expedia. Although it was marginally more expensive than one of my usual choices (Albachiara), we decided to give Aligio a try, since it's reasonably new. I go to Las Terrenas roughly twice a month, so it was nice to try a new place aside from Sublime, Albachiara, and Alisei.
The reception staff were nice enough in their greeting, and informed us where the parking area was.
The first surprise (not shown on Expedia) is that the apartments have metered electricity. Although my rate included USD 20 worth of electricity, the fact that I could be charged more and was only told of this AFTER the booking made me feel cheated. The hotel management state in their e-mail that this shouldn't be a problem, as I am unlikely to go over my credit if I "leave the air conditioning on all day". We barely scraped under this by making sure all lights in rooms we weren't using were off, and having the AC on only in our room, and only during the times we were there (so essentially 21:00-09:00).
My second nasty surprise came after finally settling in. The black sofa in the living room had some small white stains, and my wife decided to move the green blanket that was (rather suspiciously, as it turns out!) laid out on the L part of the sofa to cover them, so that she could sit on the "cleaner" blanket. As it turns out, the blanket was so nicely placed because it was covering an enormous white stain (Photos attached)! I duly reported this to reception, who didn't seem very concerned, but said they'd note it down, since the owners had only just given them the unit to manage that very week.
Thinking that the surprises were over, we went to dinner, walked along the beach, and came back ready to rinse off and go to bed. Enter surprise #3: there was no hot water! "Grit your teeth and make the most of it", you might think... And so I did, jumping in and out of the shower as quickly as possible. Since there is no reception after 7PM, nothing was going to be fixed until the following morning.
And then came the final surprise: hair everywhere in the bed. Head hair near the pillows, and curlies (pubic hair) down by the feet!! I would've headed straight to reception to demand clean bedsheets, but of course, there's no night-time reception!
The next morning, staff were apologetic, they changed the bedsheets (also added a bedsheet on the sofa at our request), and turned the water heater on (apparently they had forgotten to do this), but apologies and delayed action only go so far - and I could not get over the feeling that we'd likely slept in used sheets, and couldn't even take a decent shower!
All in all, NOT a good stay, and not sure I would return unless they could guarantee that my next experience would be better.
