My wife and I stayed 7 nights with a hotel reservation.
We arrived here by private taxi($148) from the Whostel in Santiago, at 1 PM, less than a 4 hour drive through vast rice fields.
Their Spanish speaking receptionist processed my Visa card, then provided a small bag with our keys, AC and TV(CNN/CBS in English) controls, and tickets for beach/pool towels. A bellman carried our bags up the 2 flights of steps to our 3rd floor room #B10. The entry key activates the electricity to this clean tiled spacious room with a comfortable king, 2 nightstands, 3 door closet, refer, bag stand, shelf unit with TV, small desk and chair, and spacious fully outfitted bathroom with separate shower. Our private patio, with a table and 2 chairs, both inside and out, overlooks the beach bar and the Atlantic surf.
The 7:30 AM breakfast buffet(sometimes delayed and unorganized) is served at the El Kiosco with fresh fruit, OJ, coffee/hot milk/tea, meat, cheese, scrambled eggs and pancakes.
The pool with foot/body shower is overlooked by a massage room and 2 bike gym which we used daily.
Our general situation here is nearly perfect in good weather with the perfect walk-able Playa Bellenas(calm, wide with gentle slope) extending for 1.5 km to the west, while 600 m to the east begin the restaurants of the Pueblo de Los Pescadores and the village. To its south, we found the small Supermarket Ignacio, then nearly a further km, the large Super Mercado Lindo/Scotiabank.
Las Terrenas caters to an older Italian and French clientele; we enjoyed our visit and this property was an excellent value at ~$US 70/night, using our Visa.

My wife and I stayed here in 2018 for 15 days and in 2020 for 10 days, it’s a great value with a great location to town and the local restaurants. The rooms and facilities are simple but clean & the price includes breakfast in the morning which is simple but nice.
Ana & Ive the owners and the entire staff from the front desk, bartenders at the Kiosk bar and restaurant on the beach, the housekeepers and the landscapers are wonderful and have always treated us very nice.
We will be back again

The beds are very short and with my height of 190 cm I protruded by at least 10 cm. My wife and I travel a lot, but such short beds were nowhere to be seen. We asked for an exchange for a room with two beds, but the price was unreasonably high: 600 USD. At the time, there were several hotels with twin rooms priced at $ 350-450. Unfortunately, it was no longer possible to cancel the stay here. If you have a longer figure, I recommend accommodation in another hotel. Otherwise the hotel is very clean, cleaned every day. The rooms are spacious, the hot shower works perfectly, the pool is nice. Breakfast at the beach bar across the street from the hotel was good. There were plenty of free sunbeds on the beach for hotel guests. The sea is clean with a beautiful beach and gradual access to the sea. There are also restaurants and bars in the area. Aso after a kilometer begins the zone of shops and other restaurants.

First of all I must say that the AC and hot water worked. The staff seemed very nice and polite. These are important.
For the price…this hotel needs a major renovation. Our room, well…it felt like we were staying in a seedy motel not on lovely beach on a tropical island. Sorry.
From the roof shingles flapping in the wind to the purple and green walls; sub-standard cement repairs on walls. Bathroom had so much wasted space. Needs better lay out plan thought. A turn lock on door handle was all we had for room security.
Breakfast wasn’t great.
Little extras like a small coffee pot, bedside lamps can polish things off right.
I was really hoping for something better. I am normally a very easy going person. But I expected more for the price.

Excellent service, we were upgraded without even asking to a 2 bedroom apatment oceanfront with magnificent views of the hotel and its well manicured grounds to the roar of the ocean. Just across from the reception and rooms is a small restaurant for an included hot breakfast, outside the windows the ocean makes itself known. We drove from Sosua on the North Coast 3.5 hours and so didn't drrive around a lot. We did walk and enjoyed the sites and the stores and the people. Great restaurants on either side of our hotel which was great, one seafood, the other Italian.

The location is the best possible. Inside pool and outside beach restaurant within walking distance (just on cross the street). Rooms clean and safe. I did my room clean inspection and passed with 100% (my towel paper keeped white after my cleanup). The hotel have all the protocol for host you with COVID-19 and their employees follow the rules perfectly and also ask firm to the guest to follows too. I love the custormer service, Yudith and Ana were the best. Yudith taked care of us in all of the accomodations duties and Ana in the beach restaurant. I loved my safe stay with my family and recommend to anyone who want to be in a safe place. I felt like in home, but with a beach in my frontyard and a pool in the backyard.

They stole my money.
When I checked in they took my money twice which I realised after checking my bank account. It was difficult to complain as the staff only speak basic english. I had to explain and draw the difference between pounds, dollars and euros. I was promised to get my money back but few days later I still didn’t get it. I was trying to sort it out asking them to make an online payment or give the cash back but they didn’t want to sort it out. There’s no manager or director at this hotel. On top of that terrible wifi making it impossible to use internet at all. When I asked about it they told me: „many people at the hotel”.

The location is perfect, it’s within walking distance of all the restaurants and bars. I woke up and strolled across the street to the beach which is beautiful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is very kind and accommodating. Camila welcomed us with great energy and Yudith made sure I got a great room even though I reserved last minute. I highly recommend.

Do not book directly through hotel - use website. Using email I booked directly through hotel, as I have done with many other hotels in the past. I did not compare the rate quoted on email to the website, as was going through family illness and death. Plus I have NEVER had a hotel quote me a higher rate through email than what website price is without telling me that website would be less. I was booked for 4 nights and on the second night I went on hotel website and found that the rate for the nights I was staying and for the same kind of room was at least $30/night cheaper. I emailed the person I had booked room through asking for explanation or at least adjustment and never received answer back. Final day of stay, after not receiving answer to my email, I spoke directly to the person I booked room with and was told the online rate was for one person and there is an extra charge for the second person. This I found out to be a lie, as I rechecked on the website again.

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic13 contributions2 helpful votesHow many rooms have the apartment? I saw in Booking that is only one room but with 2 queen beds. I'm traveling with my in-laws and I would like to know before booking
We stayed in an apartment that had 2 bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchen, living room, 2nd floor oceanfront.
Hello! We have been in this hotel in October,my husband can barely walk because he needs the operation on hips, and this hotel was fine for us,they gave us a room on the first floor,he should walking slowly about 15steps,they dont have the elevator, but there were also rooms on the ground floor but we did not ask,I think that the room on the ground floor would be perfect for your daughter, because everything is near, you can go inside the room with a wheelchair, and just 20-30 meters to the swimming pool with garden, and the private beach was really beautiful, with the wooden kiosk with a restaurant, best in las palmas for drinks, try passion fruit with no ice there just delicious and vitaminic, also mojito and Others.Very beautiful early in the morning, every Saturday they make bbq on the beach cost about 10dol for a person drinks apart, you can choose meat or fish with grilled onion, eggplants, zukini, and they organize also caraoke, breakfast is included and is very good, nearby there are beautiful places to eat and beautiful road to walk near the sea with palms in the morning or in the evening to see the sunset. We booked this hotel on booking ,but before booking just call them and ask if they have rooms on the ground floor near the entrance to the hotel for your period,I have just checked in internet,it says for 4 persons for your days 1314dollars including taxes, each room is for 2 persons, just call them,I have their number +18092405995
Merci pour votre avis. Vous avez parfaitement raison de nous inciter à équiper nos chambres d'une machine à café.
Nous pensons le faire assez rapidement.
Pour la bouteille d'eau c'est déjà le cas et gratuitement bien sûr.
