Detailed Reviews
We stayed early March to early April, in #58, a one bedroom. We had stayed in a studio 3 years ago for 10 day (#19), so knew the property and what to expect. We were not disappointed. Celia and sometimes coverage at the pool bar by Madison were always friendly and knew how to mix a Pina Colada. Extra marks for the effort on the display via flowers from the property. The property is so well maintained with mature trees, plants and flowers. The management team of Imke and Rocco reside on the property and Rocco was the builder, suffice to say they take great pride in maintaining standards. The beach chairs and new beach bar are a welcome upgrade, with wonderful breezes to create a great relaxing place for part of a day. We always liked to end the day poolside to listen to the music and perhaps chat with some other short or longer term residents. Looking forward to returning next winter. Cheers, k and a.

We had a one bedroom, one bathroom w a large round soaking tub, large living room and full kitchen w all you could need to cook if you so desired. No oven but a microwave. Coffee maker, blender, pots pans utensils, plates, silverware, etc.
We had a large terrace with direct views of the ocean and the swimming pool.
A very complete buffet breakfast is included w a cook to order egg/pancake station. Nice grounds.
Our only issue, the reason not to give this review a 5 was the beach bar across the road, which on Fridays or long weekends, has extremely loud "music". Relaxation is almost impossible in the evenings. We did talk to the very professional and helpful General Manager, Enzo. He was very understanding and the matter was resolved to our satisfaction.
If you are sensitive to loud "music", like I am, ask for a room on the back or be aware of the noise on Friday nights.

This is the second time we’ve stayed here and we love it. The staff are the absolute nicest people and will do anything for you. The owners are always present and will stop and have a conversation with you. The breakfast every morning is fresh and homemade with a large selection of local sliced fruit. Omelettes and pancakes to order and fresh baked goods. There are a few hotel mascots that roam around and greet you. They’re never a bother. You’ll want to adopt them before you leave. The pool is beautiful and the swim up bar has the BEST blended drinks. Raymond, Madison and Cecilia are so friendly, you can easily end up hanging out with them all day in piña colada bliss. Definitely try one of their massages at the spa!
Or, simply walk across the street to the beautiful beach and Edward will make you any drink you want at the beach bar. We were there during hurricane Fiona. They haven’t had a storm hit like that in 24 years. We felt safe and continued to have power since they are equipped with large generators. They brought us food to our rooms just incase they couldn’t open the restaurant. The next day the owner was outside helping with the cleanup. This is a home away from home. No need to look anywhere else.
If you’re looking for a stale, cold ‘Marriott’ experience, this is not your place. If you want to feel comfortable, relaxed and feel like family with all the island feels with great food, drinks and sand, look no further! Thank you Inca for a great stay!

Positive:
Relatively good location, away from the hustle and bustle, but Pueblo de los Pescadores (fishing village) and the restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance. The breakfast was pretty good, with three types of fresh fruit: pineapple, papaya and watermelon. The omelettes and the fried or scrambled eggs were also freshly prepared on site.
Negative:
The price-performance ratio is not so good. The hotel is quite expensive for what it offers. For example, the upholstery has stains (we spread a bath towel before sitting down). The furniture on the terrace also has stains - this is because of the many cats that roam around.

This trip was absolutely amazing. I'm so glad that we stayed outside of the high tourist areas like Punta Cana and La Romana. We decided on Las Terrenas and it was fantastic. The hotel is close to many many restaurants but also has one of their own. El Torro (sp?) had a pretty good menu of fresh fish and seafood as well as many other common menu items. There is a bar on the beach and right near the front of the hotel for drinks and hanging out. The hotel had breakfast every morning with a variety of local dishes and fresh fruit. There was also an omelet/egg station. The staff at the front desk and bars were friendly, even in the spa. I had a hard time because I didn't speak Spanish very well but my friend is fluent so I'm glad she was with me.
The villa/apartment was nice and comfortable. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath. One has a king bed and the other had two twin beds. There is ample seating in the living area and outdoors on the patio. Kitchen was equipped if you wanted to cook dinner. Also a water cooler is provided.
The spa, pool, and other areas were also nice. Parking is bad, or maybe I should say the area is small, but we were always able to find somewhere to park on the property. There is an armed security guard after dark. That scared me but also assured me.
Overall, great stay. Would stay here again if ever in Las Terrenas.

I absolutely loved our room with a spacious closet, bathroom and charming decor. The bed was firm, which I like. We also had a a nice balcony with a view of the ocean and large pool with a swim up bar.
We ate in the restaurant the evening of our stay, and it was absolutely wonderful! I had the clam truffle pasta, and it was out of this world tasty, perfectly seasoned, and the clams were tender. There was just the right amount of sauce on it. My husband loved his food as well. They make a nice drink too. We had a very sweet server who was very helpful with our questions.
All in all, we were only there one night, but we had a wonderful stay. People were extremely friendly, especially Pierre, who carried our bags to our room up three flights of stairs. We will definitely come back and stay again!

I visited the Spa of the Hotel today. It is great and the Vishny massage was an amazing experience.
Each massage comes with Steam Room, but that actually means that the massage itself is only about 50 minutes.
I had talked to the owner beforehand and double checked twice that the actual massage is still 60 min and to my understanding she confirmed that.
Anyway, just wanted to make sure that any future guests are aware of that. As the massages are not cheap this should be more transparent. The brochure doesn't state that either.

What a great hotel in the cute beach town of Las Terranes!! The hotel is quaint, clean, great size, and awesome staff. There is one restaurant on property with a good breakfast and offers food throughout the day. Swim up bar at pool and beach bar at the beach. Beach is across a tiny two lane road which doesn’t effect the property. People walk and drive mopeds and 4 wheelers on this road all day. All property’s on this beach are across this little road. Our one bedroom suite had a great terrace , great air conditioning, good size bathroom and family room/kitchen. Rented a 4 wheeler to get around. Great area with lots of restaurants and went to a couple of open air fun clubs for any age.

Alisei is located just in front of the beach - the narrow Punta Marico. But just walking 300-400 m to the left you come to the broader and nicer Playa de las Ballenas. The pool area is calm and nice with a big pool and a pool bar. The apartments are big with a big balcony and kitchen. Clean and well maintained. The area between the buildings are green and with a lot of flowers and trees. The breakfast is nothing special. No yoghurts, a few selections of warm dishes and fruits and bread. The WiFi is slow. There are restaurants nearby but if you want to have the good selection you need to walk 1 km to the downtown. The road is very dark during night time and it seems that there is a bad habit here that all tourists likes to rent scooters, ATV’s and other noisy vehicles and are passing by the hotel day and night.

Quaint, tranquil, relaxing hotel that has a great restaurant on site right across from an incredible beach. Located on the more subdued side of Las Terrenas this lil gem has everything you need for a romantic couple’s weekend retreat. Great value for the price.

Thanks for your interest in our hotel!
Sorry, no airconditioning in the living room, but ceiling fan. If you leave the bedroom door open during the day, that will refresh also the living room.

Good morning!
Thanks for choosing our Hotel Alisei!
I actually have to say, that, for operational reasons, we cannot guarantee a specific room number especially in high season when reservations are back to back and assignation is done day bay day based to the availability of the same day.
Nevertheless, please tell us your name and travelling dates and we will do our best to fulfill your wish of an high floor apartment. Eventually, if an apartment you like more becomes available later, you can move after your arrival.

Enzo
