A clasic landmark in Las Terrenas. Excellent valoration due to the great quality/price relationship, the elegant facilities and personalized attention. A few meters from the new highway that runs along the coast (Boulevard Turístico del Atlantico) and now closer to downtown and the beaches with its new solar-electric minibus service.

I stayed at the Palococo for one night. Basically the Hotel is on the entrance of Las Terrenas. I stayed at room 11. The room was clean and everything on the room worked as expected (hot water, A/C, ceiling fan and the small tv).

If you are a light sleeper bring your ear plugs because the hotel is on the main street of Las Terrenas and you hear the noise of the motocycles and also the roosters crowing start early on the morning.

The breakfast is inclusive and it was good. Restaurant staff was in between, the lady that took care of us was new hire and was kind of lost regarding to the breakfast choices. Reception staff was ok. Parking can be an issue, as there are not too many parking place.

Hotel is not close to the beach, however for a small amount of money you can take a "motoconcho" that takes you where the beaches are.

In general my experience was ok. I got what I paid for (was not expecting too much for a US$50 on Las Terrenas) and in this case Palococo was a very good experience for a night. I definitely would stay again if I have to.

I stayed here 3/23/15- 3/27/15. I have stayed here many times over the past ten years. a great pool, nice clean rooms with maid service daily. my friend lives in town and often I stay with him or at this hotel. It is safe and not too far of a ride to the beaches of Playa coson and playa bonita and the beaches in las terrenas. A day trip to see the waterfalls of Limon should not be missed. Good prices and a good breakfast and perfect coffee. so many nice plants and flowers and trees around the pool which is in the center of the grounds.

I found this hotel on tripadvisor, after reading all the comments decided to choose it. I traveled with friends and family, we had 3 rooms in total. You get what you paid for, the hotel is very clean, the room was ok again this is not a 5 stars hotel, but overall is worth the price. The only thing i would suggest the managament is that more people is needed at the restaurant, the food was very good but the service was very slow, and i understand is out of their hands. The breakfast had not very much variety but was good. Overall we enjoyed our stay, even we were out of the hotel most part of the day, but would recommend it

The hotel itself is quite nice comprising of small cabanas around a large pool and gardens. The rooms are a decent size but were quite dark and could have been a bit cleaner. All rooms have a deck out front for sitting in the evening - too bad the chairs and tables are mostly plastic (in contrast to the internet pictures). The real drawback here is the traffic noise and the fact that it is located at the end of town farthest from the beach. Certainly adequate for a night or two but I wouldn't spend my entire vacation here.

This was my first time at an economy priced hotel. I had two single beds in my room. I had chosen a room without A/C so It was far from being sound proof. I did not spend much time at the resort. I was only there to sleep. This was the first time not having A/C in my room but I did not find it too warm to sleep.

The hotel itself, small cabanas around a lush tropical garden and pool, was lovely & mostly comfortable. However, it is located at the end of the town farthest from the beach & situated on a crowded main street where the parties lasted all night at disco decibels. The restaurant only opened for those on a food plan at night or for breakfast, although the bar served drinks. The staff were efficient but not very friendly, even to my husband who is fluent in Spanish and can charm the rattle off a snake. You definitely experience the local flavor. If looking for tours, try Tour Samana with Terry. We did the Los Hiatisis National park & loved it. Their whale watch & adventure tours looked great as well, They collect school materials & clothing for local kids which makes it easy to give back to this beautiful country.

The hotel is okay to stay one or two nights. Next to the hotel they got a stadium were they made a lot noise. The security at night has to be better. Next to our rooms were staying some young guys that they return to the hotel in the middle of the night (3:00 am) with high music and yielding a lot of bad words and also, got into a fight waking up every body, the situation was reported to the security more than five times for different gests and they did nothing, he did not care, I could not believe it.

Dear client: You are right. Sometimes, the proximity of the stadium causes discomfort . We regret to have no solution. Fortunately is not common but it can be annoying when occurs. We hope situation improves. It seems that the authorities are beginning to worry about acustic pollution. We greatly appreciate your information on the guard. The Manager was not informed in time. We will transmit this to the company and will take the necessary actions. Thanks again and best regards.

+ The rooms are cute and there's a fridge and air conditioning in each room. The grounds are pretty- lots of flowers and a couple seats outside your room. There's a guard on duty starting right at dusk who stays overnight.
+ The beach is far away if you don't have a vehicle. The good news is that it gives you an excuse to ride the back of the motorconchos (little motor bikes) which are always available and you can get to the beach with a dollar or two (about 60 pesos each). Please don't expect a helmet though:) Other good news is that the very friendly management said they recently purchased a free shuttle to the beach and it will start very soon.
- The hotel is right next door to a stadium and while we were there a basketball tournament was going on. From around 9am until pretty late in the evening we could hear the announcer on the mic from our room!
-Breakfast was not very good- only juice served was pineapple juice which tasted disgusting and old.
- The pool was half empty.
Overall it's a comfortable and pleasant place, but how much you'll enjoy it really depends on what you're looking for. Lots of small town charm.

I regret my bad English. Thank you for your comments, which will attempt to improve our service. When the Community celebrates its annual festivities force us to endure some degree of noise which is fortunately very rare. Sorry for that. I have the pleasure to announce that the two solar-electric vehicles have already arrived (yesterday June 30th) and I hope will be operational within a week as a free service. With respect to the defect of our breakfast, I'm sorry what happened, and do not know the reasons, because we normally have two or three types of natural juices to choose from. Perhaps a pinneaple was damaged, but obviously someone did a bad job and so I present my most sincere apologies. Always at your disposal. JMA (Manager)
