Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Tremendous experience. A hidden gem located in Las Terrenas. Not beachfront as described, but the location is also convenient, isolated from the confusion of the city, with easy access to all places.
The hotel itself is beautiful, you can see the details in every corner. It was built with care, so that one can enjoy and rest. So much peace and tranquility. The room has plenty of space, with air-conditioning, ceiling fan, small refrigerator. Very clean as well as the bathroom. Hot water and amenities included.
The outside area is gorgeous. A large front yard, a beautiful pool. A nice place to rest.
The breakfast itself is a must. Fresh fruits, fresh juice, coffee or tea, eggs with ham and cheese, bread, butter… delicious.
And the last but not the least. Don Henrique, the owner, is a gentleman. He was managing himself the guests and making sure everything is perfect. Thanks a lot Don Henrique for your hospitality and warm welcome.

Great stay: relaxing, inspiring and beautiful. the area is worth a trip and this accommodation was a perfect choice for us. Welcoming, intimate and elegant but in the middle of the nature as well. Breakfast was the perfect start for a day around the best beaches of the area!

We arrived at the hotel and noticed a lot of lizards all over the place. We were then checked in the room and we noticed a lot of bugs + lizards in the room and even in our pillow and bed. We told that we preferred to search for another accomodation because we were not comfortable sleeping with lizards or bugs. The only thing the owner said is 'that we needed to pay'. He obviously didn't care about anything else than his money. He demanded us to go fetch money from the ATM in town and bring it, which we did, although we also saw there was an option to pay with credit card. After that we left.

Tldr: don't go there unless you like sleeping with bugs and lizards and if you want to be treated rudely.

We also see that the owner is really agressively replying to everything negative on booking.com , I wouldn't be surprised if he does the same now.

Hacienda Terra Taina (TT) is a true paradise masterfully orchestrated by Math. This man has an eye for detail and has thought through every aspect of the TT Experience. Math and Carmen are gifted hosts. I thank them for wonderful memories.
-Location is removed from the hustle and bustle of the town, but not so far away to make it inconvenient.
-Rooms are immaculate.
-Property is outstanding.
I encourage those interested to reach out directly to Math for booking.

The "hacienda" is lovely and very modern, it gives a peaceful aura from the start when Manu and Maya first greet you (Matt & Carmen's beautiful Golden Retrievers.) The installations are in perfect conditions, the bed is extremely comfortable, the bathroom well spaced and everything is as beautiful as you would imagine it in a dream. Regardless of the great place, what most impressed us was Matt & Carmen. They are the best hosts you could ever hope for on a BnB, a great couple to pass time with and talk about any subject. Even though the Hacienda sells itself for it's beauty, comfort & peaceful Aura, it wouldn't be the same without them as hosts. Much love to the both of you, we have no doubt that we have not only discovered our favorite place to stay in Las Terrenas but also gained new friends in the process!

I assure you that we will be back soon and repeatedly during years to come.

Thank you for the experience!

This Bed and Breakfast is a rose among thorns. I have stayed in Las Terrenas several times and I have never felt so comfortable and conveniently located to everything as I did at Hacienda Terra Taina. The staff is super accommodating; everything you could need or want is provided; pool is clean, and it is so quiet and beautifully landscaped. Breakfast was fantastic.
We will be back !

Best option is renting a car or a quad to move around. Is easy just you have to be careful, las terrenas is a small town, i think you will have that sense of the people anywhere except in a resort. From las terrenas you can go to el limon and if you have time one day trip to parque los haitises. I highly recommend you stay in terra taina and get a car , quad or motorbike. I prefrer a car i drove from the airport las americas to las terrenas.
