Loved this little hotel. Lovely open air reception area where they also serve breakfast which is included in the price of your stay. We stayed for 14 nights with our kids on the double room overlooking the pool. The bathroom was clean and so was the shower stall. We had a large terrace overlooking the pool with comfortable patio furniture and has a nice natural barrier for some Privacy. The pool is a nice size for kids with lots of place to get it in and out and there’s a small toddler pool attached. They keep it clean and the water was clear to the bottom. At night there’s fun lights that change colour in the pool, the kids loved that. The beach is just at the end of the street but there’s mostly fishing boats so you can walk either way on the beach to find a quiet spot. It’s a short walk to the city centre, but there’s a taxi/moped stand at the end of the street on the beach if you don’t want to walk. There’s also a tap beside the entrance to wash your sandy feet when you get back from the beach. Lots of good restaurants in walking distance including the juice bar and Delphin restaurant that are directly across from the hotel. There’s almost a small colmado/grocery store that sells snacks/drinks/booze etc. The street the hotel Is on has plenty of foot traffic during the day as well as cars and motorbikes and four wheelers but it quiets down at night and I was never woken up at night when we were in our room. Super friendly staff available day/night. Rooms were cleaned daily and stocked with clean towels. Always lots of hot water and water pressure was good. We also got to see one of the villas on the property that’s for rent that had a full kitchen, bedroom and bathroom which is on the other side of the private parking lot. Nicely maintained gardens and exterior. The owner was around a lot and was very friendly and approachable. Great hotel at a good price.

Loved it! It was a short stay, only one night, but it was enough to enjoy a pleasant experience...The hotel is just a few step away from the beach, we could enjoy the view and the ocean breeze from our room..Less than 5 minutes drive to all the shops and restaurants in town.

Breakfast was delicious, toasts, scrambled eggs, coffee, milk, orange juice, cheese and fruits.. Room was clean, simple but nicely decorated.

This a a beautiful little hotel for the traveler that is not looking for luxuries, but a clean and nice place to stay with a friendly staff and close to everything in Las Terrenas. I forgot the name of the lady at the front desk, but she was very nice and very helpful, she is the manager of the hotel.

Would definitely come back and would recommend to my friends as well!!

When I arrived to this hotel in Las Terrenas I felt the coziness you can only feel on family managed hotel. The welcome is warm and the staff is kind. The couple that manages the hotel is always supervising and tking care of their guests and make you feel at home. The hotel is extremely clean (I am picky with cleaness)
There is a security guard up all night and the managers live in the hotel, so I felt safe. Breakfast is really good with a variety of season's tropical fruits scumbled eggs, juice, coffee (very tasty) and milk.
Location is good as well, a fewnsteps from rhe beach and 10 minutes ealking from restaurants and bars.
The only thing I would add to this hotel is some lighting in the parking lot behind the hotel, that is scary dark.
Overall for the price you pay is an excellent option!

We came to Las Terenas late in the evening without making prior hotel reservations because we planed to do direct check in at the hotel desk (day earlier we saw at the internet that there are many availabilities and vacancies (we did not have any problems, in any country until now). Soon we realised that reception desks of all hotels, rentals, bungalows and any other sleaping facilities are closed (no 24 hour reception). We were facing sleaping at the beach. We were going from a hotel to a hotel asking is it possible to do a check in. Only one opened was Coco Plaza (in fact security guard woke up receptionist). The lady receptionist was nice enough to help us and finaly we received a room key. For that I'm very greatefull to her. In such situation we couldn't be picky about the room.

The room was at the ground floor and I felt mold smell (I hate this smell. Be carefull when traveling to Carribbeans about this. It is not the first time that at the hotel photo room looks ok, but when you enter the room it smels bad. The furniture in this hotel is worn out and detail renovation is needed. I wouldn't stay there if I don't have to. Especially not for 70 USD/night.

The breakfast was good.

What more can I say about this hotel? I fell in love with the location, attention, and facilities provided. The quality well exceeded the amenities received at the hotel. It was amazingly priced for two people (breakfast and taxes included)! The administration is constantly assuring that its clients needs are met. I know that all of my trips to Las Terrenas will be spent in Coco Plaza Hotel.

We hated the first place we stayed in Las Terrenas and wandered up and down the beach looking for a decent comfortable well priced spot. We ended up being taken in by Jesus at Coco Plaza.... The rooms were super clean and the owner is constantly maintaining things. Our room looked at the ocean, was ample in size and very comfortable, nicely decorated with A/C, fridge and lock box, cable TV and wireless connection. All for $80 US. The restaurant/bar was at least as good as the other places up and down the beach, and a good fall back if you didn't feel like going out. Views of the sea... But mostly the staff was absolutely darling and caring, and we can't say enough that's good about Jesus, the owner, from Spain. He's very fun to talk to.

I stayed at this hotel this weekend and although i did not have an ocean view, literally had to walk one minute and I was at the beach. I walk 10 minutes to the right and I was in the village and 10 minutes to the left and there was an even more beautiful beach without rocks that the one in front of the hotel. By the way when I say rocks in the beach don’t be alarm there are patches of rocks and sea grass but for the most part is a calm and refreshing beach I did paddle board and enjoy watching the coral and colorful fish. There are beach chairs you can rent for $1 us 100 pesos for a long long day but I usually just put my towel, provided by the hotel, on the beach. This beach is not busy you have a lot of room to stretch. If you are staying for a while Samaná had more beaches including one that has a river the runs by the beach so when you are done with the salty water you can clean off in the fresh water.
