Detailed Reviews
We normally stay elsewhere at Coolum in one of the tower complexes but couldn’t get in being the last weekend of the school holidays, so we thought we’d try here. I’m so glad we did. What it may lack with ocean views, it makes up for with its quiet, friendly, clean and close to everything apartments. The beach is just across the road through the park and a track anyway.
Right from the moment we’re arrived and were greeted, it was a wonderful experience. We were given the run down on facilities and amenities and headed off to our apartment. It was 109 at the back of the complex and over looked the lap pool from the middle level. We were so impressed with how clean the room was. It passed the white antibacterial wipe down that we do when we first arrive at any accomodation with flying colours. The cleaners really need to be praised. Everything we needed was available in the apartment and AC and TV playing music was on to greet us.
We thought it might be noisy as a lot of apartments faced around the pool area, but we were wrong. We experience no slamming doors, or chair drags across the balconies or street noise that are frequent at other accomodation. It appeared there was a mix of residential and holiday apartments and everyone seemed to respect each other and kept noise down.
I guess it might be noisier next to the kids pools or main pool, it that’s to be expected and if you have kids a bonus.
We thought we’d cheekily see if we could get a late check out on the Sunday not really expecting we would as the apartments were full. But it was no issue at all to stay free til noon or we opted to stay til 5pm for an extra $60. Well worth every dollar to enjoy the facilities longer. I guess late check outs are never guaranteed but no harm in asking. You might be lucky like us.
The complex is big and is at the northern end of the Coolum shopping strip but we parked the car when we arrived and didn’t use it again til we packed to leave. Everything was within easy walking distance. If fair priced, clean, quiet accommodation is worth more to you than an ocean view, you can’t beat Coolum at the Beach. We will be back for sure.
A big thank you to all the staff that made our stay such a great experience.

My Mum, myself, my daughter and family (inc 2 kids - 5&3) checked in on Christmas Eve for 3 nights.
Fabulous management and staff on arrival and throughout our stay! They really set the tone for our family getaway.
We had a 3 bedroom ground floor apartment (506) and it was so well equiped. Very clean, and with everything we needed for our stay (brought our own coffee machine and arranged for Coles groceries to be delivered the afternoon of arrival)
A small pool was basically at our back doorstep, with a larger pool just a few metres up the path with bbq facilities etc.
Across the road from supermarket, bottle shop etc. A couple of minutes walk to Coolum Beach Hotel (where we had Christmas lunch) and local cafes.
This was my first, but won’t be my last visit. We all loved it. Highly recommended

Perfect for the family holiday. The location is perfect - across the road from the beach, Coles, Cafes, Dan Murphys and the pub (dont worry, you dont hear any noice from the pub)
Our room (bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen were all very clean and also offered strong WIFI and foxtel TV.
The gym was small but suitable to get a sweat up.
The 4 pools to select from were also well maintained.
We will be back...

We have stayed here several times before and have always been very happy with the location- close to beaches, cafes and supermarket. Previously the units had always been clean and well presented.
Unfortunately on this occasion we were allocated a unit that needed an upgrade.
The unit had older furnishings, missing shelf in the shower and old fittings.

Clean and convenient location to the beach and Main Street. Spacious apartment with plenty of amenities.
4 pools to use, all clean.
Mattress wasn’t the comfiest and pillow were quite hard. Lights at front wouldn’t turn off leaving bedroom quite bright.

We stayed in a 4 bed villa with roof top spa. There was 3 couples all staying in the villa, with plenty of room to either sit and talk or share a meal and a few drinks. We all had a very relaxing time. The resort is well and truly looked after by management. Had a great time and can't wait to go back!!

Coolum at the Beach is great for a family gathering or group. i recently organised a group of 24 .. had the 3 Bedroom Villa with Rooftop Spa + Penthouse.. plenty of room in the 3 levels of the Villa.. all very close to the pools. Location is opposite Coles shopping centre, and Dan Murphys/Coolum Beach Hotel.. you can park your car and walk everywhere. I can't thanks Michelle & Murray (Managers)enough for how easily it was to book direct.. i avoided the online booking companies, purely because i know we need to support local Australian Business' directly.. .. book direct, or thru your trusted Travel Advisor.. whom all need our help during this pandemic!!

Booked a week away with two teenagers. Swimming isn't a priority but I can appreciate how the choice of pools (including a toddlers' pool) is a win.
Our three bedroom apartment suited us well. We had heaps of space however didn't utilise the "courtyard" which backed immediately onto the lap pool with no privacy at all. I was a little disillusioned as the courtyard photos depicted far more foliage rather than an open tiled area with a pool fence.
Our apartment was spacious with a luxuriously large ensuite and well appointed throughout.
The shopping complex across the road was very convenient as were the plethora of cafes and restaurants within walking distance.
Easy to walk to the beach (there's a discrete beach entrance behind the Holiday Park across the road) and everything's at hand.
My only issue was the squeaking AC outdoor units directly outside the master bedroom. It kept me awake at night. The handy clothes dryer was also exceptionally noisy and squeaky (less of an issue).

Coolum at the Beach never fails to deliver and is a wonderful place for a family holiday. We have stayed in the villas (which are excellent for a longer stay) and this time had a 3 bedroom apartment for 3 nights. The apartment had everything we needed to self-cater and we enjoyed the balcony surrounded by palm trees. The whole resort is very well designed and landscaped. The kids loved the pools and easy access to the beach. With Dan Murphy’s and Coles across the road and an easy walk to many restaurants and cafes, we did not have to drive anywhere during our stay. Very relaxing and we’ll be back!

Coolum on the Beach is convenient to shops, restaurants and beach in Coolum. Apartment 203 was clean and well presented, comfortable etc. I have to mark it down due to being smelly with old cooking smells. Apartment had not been aired for some time I would think. It’s ground floor and that does not help. Turning on fan, opening entry and porch doors did not totally fix the problem. I would not book a ground floor apartment.
