Detailed Reviews
The room was extremely small, with no chairs to sit in, unlike the photos advertised. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean, but very shabby. The shower curtain was so short, the whole floor got wet. Very noisy fan that came on whenever the light was on.

A great little hotel in the centre of a lovely town. The room was a little dated but served us well for our stay. Tea and coffee-making facilities were great. The restaurant was unfortunately closed but managed to check in smoothly with just a quick phonecall. The appearance of the outside of the rooms is not too appealing and could do with a spruce up however, we had a great nights sleep and would definitely return.

An impromptu trip south had us looking for accomodation in Arrowtown. This was about the last place we tried that had a room left.
Had to wait at the bar for quite some time - we are talking perhaps 15 to 20 minutes for the right person to attend to booking us in. We had to ask the barman 3x times if anyone was actually going to book us in. Turns out the other barman serving customers drinks was the only person capable of looking after accomodation guests.
Room was overpriced for what it is - nonetheless it was adequate for a quick overnight stop.

A comfy pub with a spacious dining room and North facing balcony, this unpretentious hotel serves good country fare. The roast lamb was so soft and generous in size with Harvey mint sauce and all the trimmings. Staff are great and a range of local wines and beers are served. A good option when you are “over” restaurant food

Filthy shower with black mould and grime....and not just a little!! Carpet needs cleaned. Location good and surprising quiet for location. Pictures of shower attached....you decide if this is acceptable or not.

Came across this place while looking for a nice coffee but ended up getting a breaky before our river boarding day. Simple but delish, eggs were perfectly cooked and everything looked and tasted local. In an area that alot of overpriced breakys cost $20 each this was a great find.
Servers are knowledgeable on where we could drive to on our way back to Christchurch. Overlooking the mountain and walking track sitting up on the large deck was magic!

My partner had finished her fish and chip plate before my "roast pork special" even arrived. The pork was a reheat of some sort perhaps cooked from frozen. It was tough and dry but definitely not roasted. I wouldn't go back, there are so many better options in Arrowtown

Went for dinner and paid 28 dollars for blue cod.it was a terrible meal
Where was the cod under a thick layer of oil stained batter somewhere.it was embarrassing to say the least. The chips were cold and soggy as if reheated in a micro wave. Would not recommend this over priced pub to anyone. The Auckland owners need to get down and have a look at the rubbish served up.

Excellent value for money - big meals great taste. We got pizza, kids meal and fish and chips . We were all a bit jealous of our son who got the chicken schnitzel burger so I guess it will be 4 of them next time! Highly recommend as a Saturday afternoon relaxed lunch.

Don’t stay at this hotel if you want a hot shower in the morning. Stayed 2 night. No hot water in the morning. No one we could contact for help. Phone number provided said send an email. No one on site until midday. (for bar and restaurant)
Sadly the accommodation has deteriorated in other ways also. Carpets old and dirty, burnt electric plugs, only some plugs working, bathrooms need good clean, no plug in hand basin( handy if shower isn’t working!) …….happy if it’s old and shabby but needs to be clean!
Very disappointed- angry husband

Room Tip: Restaurant and bar were great. Seemed to be run by hard working friendly family.
