Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My husband was a volunteer at the NZ Golf Open at Millbrook so we booked a site for 6 nights at the Arrowtown Holiday Park. We were traveling in an average size camper van. Friends had warned us that the sites were small and that camper vans were crammed in. For the first 2 days we had an empty site either side of us, and that gave us a good feeling, but the second part of our stay we had vans either side of us, and very little privacy, looking straight into next door's living area. However, we were very conveniently parked for the amenity blocks which were clean and well maintained.

This was the most expensive holiday park we stayed at during our South Island trip, and then to have pay $1 for the daily shower was a bit much. The shower and toilet facilities were great and I loved the local radio station playing in there with good music to shower to!! Didn't use the kitchen area for cooking, but did wash up dinner dishes there each day and that was fine.

Easy walk into town for cafes etc. and in the opposite direction to the local 4 Square for groceries.

We only stayed here one night on route to Mount Cook.
The site is in a great location for the very pretty and interesting Arrowtown.
It’s like something out of a film set, great place to visit, forget Queenstown.
The RV park is fairly large, 200 spaces, quite boringly laid out in straight lines, but very functional, and clean.
Shower blocks, toilets etc, again very clean, but annoyingly you have to pay separate for a shower, $1 in a machine in the cubicle for 6 minutes hot water..??? Come on, we’ve already paid to get into the park, do they really need to charge for a shower, that’s a bit pathetic.!!
It’s only a 10 minute walk into Arrowtown for food etc, well worth the visit.
I would recommend this site, just stop being so mean.

We decided to do an off season tour of the South Island to help businesses out where we can after Covid lockdown.

Arrowtown Holiday Park is the only camping ground that we stayed at (total of 12 others) who didn't offer a discount and gave free wi-fi that lasted about half an hour!
All other places gave a generous amount of free wi-fi that gave us ample time to check emails etc.

Top price, pay for showers, cold air hand dryers - they need to get their act together. However, I guess they're the only camping ground in Arrowtown so have total market share. I doubt that we'll be back to stay here in the future.

Second time we have stayed here this time in a camper van . Check in was easy and friendly. The park was nearly empty so we had the choice of where to park
Facilities were very clean as was The entire Park
Approximately a easy 5 minute walk to town. Would recommend

The bathrooms are what got it above average. The music playing in them is quite a cool touch, the showers were small but nice and clean. The dryer was shockingly bad, we've used enough dryers to be able to say how bad it was, was annoying needing to buy tokens for it aswell. We stayed in a camper van and the dump area was nice and tidy.
We left a few minutes after the checkout time and our code had been cancelled, never come across that at a campsite and to be honest it left a bad taste.

This was such a lovely place to stay with our family. Our tourist flat was so fresh and clean and had everything we needed for our family of 5 (3 kids) so comfortable it was hard to leave. Beautiful camping ground. The walk to the centre of town is about 10-15minutes or so, beautiful easy walk on the flat. Lovely, friendly accommodating staff.
Thanks so much

Arrowtown holiday park is just a short and inexpensive bus ride from the crazy busy Queenstown strip. Bus stop just outside park entry. Peaceful, generous sites (7 metre motorhome was easy to park) and excellent communal facilities. Mountain scenery in every direction. Well stocked 4 Square mini supermarket is a short walk from park.

I have stayed here previously when we were working on a property locally and rated the experience highly. However this time I would like to thank Viki and staff for being so supportive of Cure Kids and selling the book Lockdown with the Bears as a fund raiser...many thanks folks and keep up the great work providing a lovely clean well set out accommodation option in Arrowtown.

Booked a cabin for 3 nights in Nov 22. Walking distance to Arrowtown, a very pretty place, golf course and about 20 minutes to Queenstown, perfect to stay away from the tourists. The grumble that I have is that one of the staff came to me after the second day and told me that I hadn't booked for the 3rd night nor had I paid. I was pretty sure I had so asked her some questions but she was adamant about both the booking and the payment. I had already thrown the receipt out so looked at bank records and was able to prove my payment but she still wanted my credit card again. I said no, showed her the debit out of my a/c but then she wanted a screenshot of the debit. She eventually conceded but it took some convincing on my behalf. Still waiting for an apology. The park is great though!!

The pitch we were allocated 189 was so small and narrow at most 3mt wide and very sloping side to side, so much so that if we opened our door at the same time as our neighbour they hit each other.
Reception staff not very helpful (we are full) this had been pre booked for over 3 months. Not a happy experience
