If you want a quiet place to stay in a wonderful location (close to Havelock North) and all of the wineries this is the place to stay. The cottages are immaculately presented, and include excellent amenities. The pool is gorgeous and an extra bonus for a long hot summers day. Carol is a wonderful host, who goes above and beyond ensuring the stay is one to remember. Highly recommend!!!!
The cottages are in a gorgeous rural setting, but only a few minutes' drive from the lovely town of Havelock North with great dining, shopping and a god supermarket. Carol is fantastic. She greeted us on arrival with ice creams for everyone which was so welcomed after a long car journey, she made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay, and even collected our laundry that blew away one windy afternoon. The two-bedroom cottage is immaculate and had everything we needed for our eight-night stay. Plenty of room for the children to play outside, and the pool was wonderful on those hot Hawkes Bay afternoons. The cottages are within walking distance of a number of beautiful fresh fruit and vegie stalls (recommend Hanna's Berries) but are set off the road so it is…
Carol was a wonderful host and the cottages were very comfortable and well appointed. You can even use their pool which is nestled in amongst mature trees in their lovely garden. We loved it so much we booked for an extra night! Their situation is ideal as it's only 5 minutes away by car from Havelock North. We didn't really explore Hastings as Havelock North and the Tuki Tuki valley are too lovely to ignore. I would highly recommend Carol's Cottages as we had such a lovely relaxing short break all thanks to her.
The unit/cottage we got was a two bedrooms cottage. The place is next to a beautiful apple orchard. The place is clean and filled with absolutely everything you need. Owner Carol is so nice and friendly. You get to have the whole unit to yourself, perfect for families with children. We stayed here for 2 nights. Highly recommended.
We stayed here for 2 nights in a beautifully appointed two bedroom cottage set amongst the apple orchards just outside Hastings. A great kitchen with all the essentials provided. A huge tv to watch England beat Scotland in the 6 nations!! Big comfortable beds and excellent super clean bathrooms. Max and Carol were hugely hospitable bringing local milk and a gigantic bag of apples for our journey which we have though rally enjoyed. Lots of lovely wineries to visit some with great restaurants. We went to Clearview and really enjoyed the food and wine. We also visited a fascinating cafe and craft and sculpture store. The owner sources a lot of objects from Zimbabwe and they are wonderful. Sadly no space in our luggage.
