We enjoyed a wonderful few days at the Pavillon which has great amenity and privacy in a lovely setting close to the town centre but where you "could be anywhere". Our hosts Judy and Nick were always available for hints, advice and problem solving - but never intrude on your enjoyment of the venue. A must

We had a lovely couple of nights in the pavilion, perfect location within walking distance of Havelock. The bed was so comfortable I've just brought the identical model for home. Highly recommends hiring the electric bikes and heading up Te Mata peak, stunning views and effortless. Make sure you try the homemade Apricot jam, delicious

Thank you for your kind remarks. The best advice we ever got when setting up our holiday houses was to buy the best beds available! We love the electric bikes too. All our jellies and jams are homegrown and handmade in keeping with the a special experience we aim to provide all of our guests.

Keep dogs on a leash if their just gonna bark at guests. Theres a difference between friendly dogs and dogs that just bark at people. Clean the bbq of rust if you want guests to use them. If people are staying more than one night then more than one towel per person would be the way to go. If you...

Obviously we are disappointed to receive a poor review. Unfortunately we were away when these guests stayed - a rare escape for us. Living on the property allows us to meet and greet guests and address any concerns personally. We had to leave the 'changeover' to a friend and maybe she did not renew the fruit bowl as instructed. Located in an old apple orchard just 10 minute walk from Havelock North township the property feels peaceful and secluded. It's close to bikeways. A must is to hire the owners electric bikes and ride to Cape Kidnappers. Beautiful homemade jams and fresh cooked bread a delight for breakfast. Bed so comfortable.

Lovely setting, well equipped, comfy bed, great bathroom but a bit nervous about the window having no blind. Couch wasn't conducive to relaxing. We were there during the 7.8 earthquake and yes we "felt it" so can attest to it being earthquake safe! On the whole a lovely place to stay.

Thanks for staying Brenda. The Pavilion was designed and built to the new strict building code so no concerns there. We had never considered the need for a blind in the bathroom as the window affords a rather tranquil rural view from within and from the outside one would have to be at least seven feet tall and on tiptoes...

This house of Johns (the Spitfire pilot in WWII) was one of the nicest designed homes to stay in while in Havelock North. It is comfortable, full kitchen which is nice, with dining and lounge looking out over the beautiful and peaceful grounds which are significant. Walking distance along a nice path to HNorth with lots of appeal to those...

The hosts were lovely but the pavilion was a bit quirky for our tastes. Really counting on the wifi to hunker down and watch the U.S. election returns so were extremely disappointed to find wifi not working. I'm sure it would be perfect for most travelers but was not a good fit for us.

Thank you for staying and taking the time to write your review - we appreciate that. We understand that some people may find Pete Bossley's award winning architecture challenging - most guests absolutely rave about it. We also think that the photographs on our website and other booking platforms accurately portray The Pavilion and environs. The wi-fi feed comes from...

Lovely property. Friendly owners & special touches like homemade bread & jams. I had a party there & everyone loved it. Modern, stylish with touches of luxury. I'd definitely recommend it to others & come back myself. Very well designed with no waste space but everything you need is there.

Hard not to be 'laid back' here! The best thing about a holiday is relaxing and unwinding in a conducive environment. However we do take our host responsibilities seriously ..... and we'd like to think that is why so many guests return.

Lovely location, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful nature. Nick is a very friendly and welcoming host and the children felt very much at home and enjoyed exploring the grounds. Very close to Havelock North which is attractive and full of lovely shops and restaurants.

Thank you for your kind remarks. We love having children enjoy free ranging! We should be grandparents by now but the generation we bred seem to be in no rush whatsoever. We are lucky to have the easy walk along the stream to Havelock North on our boundary. The Village atmosphere and amenities are fantastic.
