Loved staying here, peace and tranquility, beautiful gardens surround the property. It’s a bit of an architectural masterpiece and so enjoyable to experience the open plan living, multi aspects and lots of natural light. We were supplied with perfect breakfast ingredients, fab home made bread and muesli, fruits , home made jams etc. Located but the river walk, you could have a pleasant stroll into town in 10 or 15 minutes . We drove to Te Mata peak one evening with very big views and finally visited Ocean Beach for an exilerating swim in the surf
The Pavillion is a wonderful place to stay in Havelock North. House is perfect for couples, breakfast food supplied which was great. On a large piece of land, very quiet and peaceful. Location to township fantastic, just a short stroll, 5 minutes, from Havelock village. Close to wineries and beaches. Nick is a fantastic host, we even left with a bag full of lemons and masses of mint from garden.
Wonderful stay - great location, stylish home with everything we needed during our stay. Thoughtful touches throughout the Pavilion. Will absolutely recommend to others who are travelling to the Hawkes Bay Area.
Extremely well equipped house with lovely garden and a view. Design is great.close to havelock north and warm. Breakfast for the price could have been more sophisticated and the house wasn’t as clean as we would have expected when we arrived. Nobody came to check to see if we were okay which felt a bit odd. The owners had advised us they were away and had someone looking after the house for them.
Very well equipped studio apartment with a lovely outlook. 20 minuts walk to Havelock along the river. Lovely breakfast provisions. Owners very lovely to deal with - simple to book, pay and communicate.
Very cleverly designed space. Well maintained, clean and tidy. Quirky! Wouldn't plan on doing too much cooking as kitchen space is limited but did enjoy the goodies supplied for breakfast - the homemade bread was yummy! Enjoyed the feeling of space and being out in the country, but still close to Havelock North. Would return.
The Pavilion was the perfect home for us. Very modern residence, clean, outfitted well, and more. The owner provided all sorts of stuff that was above and beyond, such as a fresh home-made bread! The location, in Havelock North, was ideal for us since we find Napier and Hastings too crowded. Situated at the end of a road and in the center of lots of agriculture, the home was quiet but afforded easy access (10 minute walk) to downtown HN. The owners could not have been nicer - there to explain things and answer questions but not intrusive! They even offered up their swimming pool for us to use! Note: The one king bed makes it a great option for a couple. We had one child with us so they set up a single bed in the common room. It worked great!
Well set up accomodation with lots of room to move in and relax. Very comfy beds as well. Lots of peace and quiet.... great sleeps to be had! Also nice to have fun, make some noise and not worry about disturbing others. Thanks to Nick & Judy (super muesli too!!)
Peaceful, indulgent couple of days. We arrived on a horrible, rainy day. Nick rang ahead of time to check when we were arriving, and had a fire going for us. Bliss! He was a great host: informative and friendly, and great to talk to about the area, and the provenance of this very special John Scott home. Kitchen well stocked with the essential condiments for cooking, and the generous bay window looking out onto the orchard was a perfect place to sit and read. Highly recommended.
We enjoyed a wonderful few days at the Pavillon which has great amenity and privacy in a lovely setting close to the town centre but where you "could be anywhere". Our hosts Judy and Nick were always available for hints, advice and problem solving - but never intrude on your enjoyment of the venue. A must
